Damien looked down as he heard the girl call out and his eyes widened. He had expected her to go up through the castle somehow, take the stairs or something. Not follow him up the wall! Was she crazy? Then again... maybe she had thought the same of him. But it was different. He had been doing his for years, he had been trained to do it. She hadn’t. She was going to get herself killed. “Well you weren’t supposed to follow me!” He called back, looking around himself and slowing his pace so she didn't rush and fall to her death.

“Or at least not this way! Couldn’t you have just taken the stairs?” Eventually he came across a window and let himself inside. It was not as high as he’d wanted to go. Preferably he would have liked to go all the way up to the top of the tower but he wouldn’t risk it with an inexperienced climber following him. Easily unlocking the window from the outside Damien let himself inside and sat back, letting out a long sigh as he looked around the lavish, if not empty room. There was furniture sure enough, but just no people, which he liked.

The boy then quickly walked over to the door and locked it before turning to look back at Bella. “You’re almost as crazy as I am!” He exclaimed, though the smile on his face showed that he didn't mind all that much.

Bella smirked and followed him up into the window. Ah, he had chosen to enter through the parlor, one of her favorite rooms because no one usually came into it. It was here for the moment her father decided he wanted to have small get together, parties of sorts. But that had never happened, the room was simply a formality. She climbed in carefully and smoothed out her dress, closing the window behind her, "Well you see. If I had simply walked upstairs my guards would still be following me wouldn't they?" She said with a somewhat mischievous smile, "But I can be known to be a bit...odd. My nannies did always call me such, right before they quit because I wouldn't let them keep me from having fun,"

She sat in one of the chairs and looked up at the boy, "Now, why don't you tell me where you learned such a beautiful melody. More importantly, why play it here of all places? Where music has been forgotten about for such a long time," She placed her hands in her lap elegantly and looked around the room. It was lush looking in all its lonliness. It was still kept clean of course, the many maids making sure it was ready for use should a time arise to use it. But Bella couldn't help but wish that things were happier, so that rooms such as this might not have to go on forgotten.

She looked back up at the boy and smiled warmly, waiting for his response. She really liked the boy already, seeing that he had a mind of his own and was free, something she envied. But she could also see that he was careful, distancing himself from the public so that he would not be caught for his disturbances. He was smart, but brave, she thought. It was something she wished more of in herself.

Damien shrugged. He had no idea how personal guards worked. He had assumed she could just tell them to go away whenever she wanted, especially when they were in her own home. He moved over to the closest table and sat on the, watching her as she took up a chair. Her questions were fair, and he certainly wasn't going to string her along. He wouldn’t have told her what he was otherwise. “I used to travel with a band of acrobats.” He explained firstly, he wasn't overly shy either, something that years of having attention placed upon him had caused.

“You learn all kinds of things when you travel. One of our members, Alaria, was a beautiful musician. She taught me everything I knew...” There was a definite sad undertone in his voice, revealing that the story probably didn't have a happy ending, not that he seemed like he was going to revel it as he skipped a good segment of the answer. “And as for why here... well to be honest I didn't know music no longer dwelled here. It couldn’t have been that long ago, though, if you still remember it and know what it is.”

“But when I found out that there was no music here... well... how could I not stay? A place deprived of something so beautiful as music...” He stopped and pulled out the flute from his back, looking fondly at the beautiful ivory instrument, easily the most precious thing he owned. “Although I will admit... I’m not overly keen on this ‘wanted man’ thing I suspect may be in my future if I continue my wicked ways.” The boy said as he placed the flute back into his back, securing it firmly before looking back to her.

Bella thought quietly for a minute, wondering if there was a way for her to convince him to help her. Maybe together they could bring the presence of music back into the kingdom, though she didn't know if that was entirely possible. She needed to see what her father thought of the music first. She needed to see what the people thought, "I want music to be apart of my kingdom again, it brings life to the world and also brings happiness. But I have to do what the people wish, and what my father wishes. I do not know what to do..." She admitted and looked sad for a moment, "What do you think? About there being no music here?"

She ran a hand through her hair distractedly, wondering what the boy thought, "I think that the people are just frightened because of how long this kingdom has gone without it. I believe that if they were to be faced with it again, and not be frightened of it, then things could begin to change here. They could change for the better. I am supposed to rule next year, when I turn twenty, but first I am required to take a husband," She said this last part angrily. She did not wish to be forced to marry. She sighed slowly, "Help me show my kingdom there can be happiness again,"
