I think you'll agree that his public execution method was the better alternative.

"The pattern has repeated itself more times than you can fathom. Game companies rise, evolve, advance, and at the apex of their glory, they are extinguished. Bioware is not the first. By utilizing our funding, game companies develop along the paths we desire. They exist because we allow it, and will end because we demand it."-EA On Bioware
"If pokemon aren't slaves, then why do you call yourself pokemon masters?"
"I've heard it's against THE LAW to hunt BEARS. Well, too bad I was being trained to do that while you were still learning how to SPELL YOUR NAME! And now they're TEARING ME APART!"

Other of my favourite Anti-Hero would be
Kain and Raziel from Legacy of Kain, they just fit the role perfectly
Once it would have been a miracle.
Things that happen more than once aren't miracles anymore
A RPG in the one the art is the predominant element of the world. The character's powers are born from their arts.
Although it may look like a bright one, this will be a very dark story.
Chronicles of the Unreal. Part III: Scarlet Nocturne
I found the whole Suicide concept for Lelouch very poorly handled.
1. Who the hell was going to take over after him that wouldn't fuck it all up?
2. Even Watchmen handled this better with Ozymandias, who I think serves as a MUCH better Anti-Hero gets called out in the end by this by Dr. Manhattan, saying that "Nothing Ever Ends" Indicated all his plans and mass-murder could have been for nothing. What? World peace happens forever after Lelouch's death? Get Real.
3. This is more of a personal thing, but his little sister got really shafted in the end because of this plan, her entire family killed off and left a depressed wreck. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she committed suicide right after the end.
ANYWAY, opinions aside.
My favorite Anti Hero would have to be James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2. For most of the game, you think he's just a guy thrown into a depressing situation for absolutely no reason then to torture him. But then when you find out his actual crime and everything leading up to it, you cant help but sympathize and think he's a horrible person at the same time.
My favorite Anti-Villain would defiantly have to go with GLaDOS in Portal 2. Sure, she was the outright villain in the first game, but in the 2nd, you're literally forced to work with her and the sheer hilarity in how he takes all this during is just both veryironic and friggen hilarious.
