I grin widely as Morgan blushes. It was just the cutest thing, and she knew it. I watch the king as he stand, nodding at his words. I raise my glass a bit when he finishes, silently asking if I could stand and talk. He nods and I wait to stand until he sits down. "Gentlemen, Ladies.." I look around at the guests. "I am just.. So honored to be here tonight, thankful that I could make it, as you see that I was wounded. But, that is a story for later. I understand why you look up to me as a hero, but, in all honesty, I don't deserve this anymore than my brothers at-arms. We all fought with equal vigor, strength, and loyalty for this beautiful kingdom, I just happened to be lucky. I was blessed with the opportunity to capture the opposing general and I took it, just as my fellow knight here beside me would have." I smile down to my friend sitting beside me. "Just as any other would have. So, I propose the first toast of the night not to be to me, but to every fighting man in this land, and more importantly, to those who have passed from this life defending us."
(Oh, tis a beautiful speech! c': )
