Regardless, I always recommend new people, whether they are new to RP or just new to here, take a look at this guide , it fills you in on how things are done around these parts. If you have any questions there is a thread here specifically for them, also feel free to PM me if you require any assistance with anything, I am always happy to help someone get started in RPing, it is so much fun. excellent, you'll be RPing in no time. One thing people don't always know about is the interest checks. That's where we keep our new and recruiting RPs so when you are ready head there. We have a bunch, one in each level and style of RPing. Please let me know if you need anything, it's my job around here to help out.

Welcome, Bergie (if you don't mind me calling you that)! I am going to take a stab here and say your friend recommended this site to you because 1) you're a writer, 2) you're roleplayed in some form, or 3) a little bit of both. If I am completely wrong, no big deal. Whether you are a beginner or not, this is the place where you can learn and/or expand your horizons.

I am going to give you a few links here to help get you in the right track. These are all very useful and can say so much more than I can. First, we have the Guild Rules. Very basic and easy to understand. Follow these rules and where you migrate to in the forum, you will be in good shape. Second, we have the Guild Guide. Say that 10 times fast, haha! It is a very helpful guide that can navigate you through the site and teach you a few tricks if you've never done this before. Last, but not least, we have Ask a Comrade. If you get confused and have a question, do not hesitate to post in the thread. I, or any of my fellow Comrades, will be more than happy to assist you.

I hope you find what you're looking for here and have fun while you do it. If you have any questions or get lost, drop me a PM or ask in 'Ask a Comrade'. If you've never RPed before and want to learn the basics, I can also help you around with that.
