Sooo where to begin

Iv been writing short stories and novels etc for a few years as a hobby, been roleplaying for a good 8 years on various sites and in various genres like fantasy, sci-fi etc. My preferred genre would be fantasy but im up for anything. I prefer story focused roleplay with a lot of character development so I guess id really enjoy it if I found a few people on here that I could regularly roleplay with the same character (or maybe even a few characters).

I guess I came to this site because my old group seems to have dwindled and gone off to actually work on real life, and Im sick of joining forums for them to just go inactive and die so Im looking for something a little more durable.

Forewarning, Although I try to post as much as possible I do work like 60 hours a week managing a pub in England, so my time table is sporadic at best and I can't guarantee any sort of regular posting times .

Like I said before, Im up for any roleplay so long as it isn't one liners or short posts, I want something a little more casual or advanced. I don't use instant messengers, so feel free to pm me

I am pretty sure that you'll be able to find what you need here and maybe you can venture into the Gallery to share your stories! We have something for everybody and if you can't find anything, set up an Interest Check of your own! Sounds good, ill be sure to shoot any questions I have at someone though iv been reading through the site for a few hours now so I think I have it

I generally enjoy anything Fantasy based, minus all the magic and stuff though I try not to limit myself so I write alot of sci-fi/modern stuff as well. I generally like stuff thats realistic and I like focusing on character interaction/development, nothing more satisfying for me than tying up a nice story arc with a few characters that developed nicely through the RP.

If I had to pick out a few books that relate to the kind of settings I like to write in, id probably point you to David Gemmels work
