I was thinking Sariss's MO gets updated at some point in the RP for a less than savoury job.

Yeah he is. I wasn't sure myself on what Alliance knew of, on how the Op went badly, so I decided to throw someone in for answers.

Well they captured and killed a lot of Intelligence agents as a result, but as for the specific failures by people on Exaron, no they don't know the whole story.

Also he's SpecForce not SpecOps. SpecOps do have that bad reputation but SpecForce are considerably more disciplined.
