The Hoshigami are the gods of the stars and allow passage in and out of Heaven, Hell, and Earth. As eternity went by they began to bore from their usual ways and devised a new way to allow people in and out. They began to make a sport of killing, but this was looked down upon by many other gods, and so they were then broken apart, into the Shinigami and The Hoshi Zelo Judges. The Shinigami were angered to have been branded with such a dirty label and began creating Blanks, entities that can cause negative emotions and Erase people’s souls forever. These were labeled as Forbidden, and sealed away in Nil, the land of Shinigami. The seal does have cracks appear some times, but the last time the seal completely broke was during the Black Plague. However the Hoshi Zelo did find a way to make the Forbidden tamable and unable to erase souls. The Hoshi Zelo then used the new Blanks in what they called The Weekly Quota, every week the Shinigami and Hoshi Zelo meet together as Judges and host The Weekly Quota, each member must follow certain rules to eliminate the newly deceased by unnatural means, otherwise known as the Cast. During The Weekly Quota the Cast are given difficulty dependent on how they lived and if they have played for more than one week. However during this week, whoever survives would be sent back to their old body and the Hoshigami that had participated in that week’s Quota give a fraction of their time to live towards the ones that live. Each Hoshigami has a life span of about 1000 years. For each Cast eliminated, the time the person had left to live would be added to the one who killed them. The Cast are given specific things that can allow them to combat the Blanks and the Hoshigami, the winners are then sent back into their bodies as if nothing ever happened, though they will not die this time.
You are the newest Cast and have joined the Quota, prepare to fight for your life, because it pretty much depends on it.
The Blanks and the Worlds: The Blanks are strange creatures that reside on both what the Hoshigami call, the Set and Back Stage, and usually are shaped as animals. While on the Set they are invisible and cause negativity in the world, but never something too powerful such as genocide only a Forbidden has that kind of power. The Set is the Hoshigami’s own Television, allowing them to watch what goes on anywhere in the world. BackStage, is where the Hoshigami set up shop in the Set and live as people. Some Hoshigami have even come to like living on the Set and choose not to participate in the Quota, this however some do not like and is dealt with in due time, either deletion or becoming mortal.
Psychs: Your weapon, most are strange and unusual such as Battle Tops, Pins and Badges, Pens, Necklaces, and more. Each weapon has a different effect and dependant on the decoration can cause other things to happen, for example a flaming guitar pick may cause a small flame to spark when played on a guitar or a Blue Battle Top with Ice décor will leave a trail of slick Ice in its wake.
Phone: Though you may not own one, you will be given one for the Hoshigami to alert you of your newest mission. Also allows Cast members to store anything bought, found or given to them in a “hammer-space” where they can take and store things with a Special App.
The Death Sighted: People on the Set that can see what is happening on the Backstage, given extremely strong powers if they should join The Quota. They can join at any time they choose.
Cast: The players of the Quota against the Hoshigami, they must make it through the entire week without losing, or failing any of the challenges. The ability to scan others minds is a normal ability given to all Cast to use for hints. If used on another Cast they only see Name, Age, and any info that the Cast has given them. When scanning a Hoshigami, once or present, the Cast will only see Rank of the Judge. The scan will only revel the name of a Deathsighted.
More will be added as the Quota progresses.
