Also, I have a problem with the "their skin is almost impenetrable" Dude, come on, first you come up with section killers, and then you make your kind almost invincible? Way too overpowered and unfair, make them killable atleast, its kind of frustrating when you have an army of invincible douchebags conquering you planets with no way to stop them besides nuking your planet, which means that the defending race is fucked anyways

And pyrak, people not knowing what poisons them doesn't make them immune to poison.
Yeah I was annoyed by that line too and I wanted to comment "Gee mithril bodies sure are a trend nowadays" but refrained to until now. Truth is it's not the first person who comes up with a race with a "nigh-undamageable skin/bones" and it probably won't be the last.
They could be packed like sardines in some areas to contain that amount, but I do see that it's kind of what your going for so I'll accept it. It's balanced with your lack of sufficient military on board, so it would even out from what would normally be overpowered.
It's a start
Almost impenetrable does need a more specific example that has lower defense that what I think you meant by that. For example, if they can survive some medium power weapon fire then that wouldn't be too big of a deal because a lot of races have armor that good. For the supernova, it would be very hard to pull off and will unlikely be acceptable unless it's a long process that can be interupted. If you add stuff to a star, most of the time it would just make it into more fuel. One science show says that dumping water on it to put it out would also turn the water into hydrogen and oxygen for fuel.
Its very unfortunate, but yes that is highly likely

oh, and by the way Important Nobody, The Spectiris are like alien space bugs, they have a black carapace and a domed shaped head with no visible eyes, the models for their infantry were a general idea of the armor for them, not humans, the Argons are the ones that are humans, along with the Vorians
