You make it seem as though fighting for equality is a futile endeavor. People have produced very positive results in their effort to achieve equality, and it was mostly at their own expense.

To be honesty, I don't really understand the question. What resources are you speaking of? And if these resources are so important, isn't equality a valuable enterprise to put those resources toward?

You just looked at it objectively, trying to answer my questions. Stop that.

Fighting for equality is by no means useless, but what justifies the fight for equality. What are your thoughts on the subject of equality? Is there anything you think about equality which you believe is worth saying? That is what I am asking for.

Honestly? Equality, the concept, is a joke.

    It's impossible.

There will always be things a woman can do better than a man (like giving birth, contrary to popular belief men remain incapable of this.... of course science could theoretically change this with enough time, but I hope it doesn't ) and things a man can do better than a woman. When all other things are equal (estimated height and weight) the male will typically have greater strength than the female. There are of course exceptions to all of this (Except childbirth)

Then there is the fact that more "equality" people strive for the more inequality there becomes. Look at the Feminist vs Non-Feminist. The Feminist Movement is constantly striving for more and more equalities, but demands things that it doesn't of men. A Womans Club is seen as natural now, and Mens Clubs are frowned on as sexist institutions. If a man hits another man it's a friendly brawl. But if a man hits a woman for the same reason he's an abuser. Worse, if a man hits a woman who struck him first HE is still the abuser!

THe examples are endless and will always be so.

But in the end at least we men will retain the advantage of being able to stand and piss at the same time with some accuracy! (Able, not necessarily willing going by some public restrooms)

I don't understand why you would pose all those questions in the opening post and not expect people to respond to them. You could have asked people to throw in their two cents and just left it at that.

Anyway, I'll give my thoughts on equality. Like I said, I think it's a worthwhile endeavor. Equality throughout the more developed countries has come a long way, but has yet to meet its full potential. Especially in the United States, things like political equality are a fucking joke. Potential governing candidates can't even make the ballot because of their faith, or lack thereof. Personal beliefs shouldn't even be made an issue, and I'm surprised that a candidate's beliefs aren't listed along side their political party on the ballot. Unfortunately, I think I'll be long dead before the United States has an outspoken atheist, Buddhist, Muslim, or one such other president.

Maybe I have unique views that I wanted to be heard . *giggles* But in all seriousness thank you for not making a big deal about it and participating. Since it seems unclear this is a 2 cents thread, I will try to make that more clear with an edit.

All you have to do is look at an autistic child and realize true equality is a child's dream.

    Avatar and signature by me.
