Andre stared out into space for a moment, thinking about what had been explained to him. Neir then opened the door and stepped outside, and noted that sandstorm had ceased. Andre nodded and followed Neir and Sareth outside. He then glanced to the two.
"I guess we gotta find the bad guys, right?" Andre asked with a smirk. He then gave the thumbs up. "No problem, this is where I take the rooftops, yeah!" Andre cheerfully exclaimed. He then turned to the walls of the building and looked around for some ledges. Andre ran up the wall and grabbed hold, before swinging and jumping from wall to wall to get to the rooftops, leaving Neir and Sareth behind.

Andre began to free run from roof to roof, jumping across alleyway gaps and moved across the city quickly. He came across an area where a giant leafy plant began to unfold in the street.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Sylph and Solaril stood up when the plant unfolded and they saw that the sandstorm had ended. Sylph then looked around for Kardos hastily.
"Sylph... You won't be able to find him. He's gone." Solaril murmured. Sylph shook her head.
"No, we can catch him. We have to trap him, that fiend... He..." Sylph hastily said, panicking slightly. She then heard something and looked to the skyline. There, a young boy stood on the rooftop watching them, and Sylph held her bow at the ready, but didn't draw an arrow. "I wonder who that is that is watching us..." Sylph murmured to Solaril, who began to growl softly.

Neir heard both of them follow and looked behind to see Sareth following up close behind, he then heard Andre make his remarks an mention going to the rooftops. Not a bad idea unless there was someone with ranged weapons. "Wait, Andre," but he was already climbing the walls with skill. Neir was continuing to become impressed with his hidden talents, "maybe we should stick together..." Neir quietly said the end of his sentence then looked at Sareth. "What're we going to do with him...?" He said in a humorous tone. "Well I'm going to go get him to come back down here so we can keep a full alert company. I'll be back." Neir bent down and held his right hand flat on the ground and began to shadow jump. The shadows aroun him began to crawl towards him and mistified from the ground, and Neir fell into the ground and appeared next to Andre on the rooftops, along with a loud thunderous crack. "Damn that sound...they just had to have that be a 'perk'. Gah, blast my makers." Neir looked at Andre who was looking off into a small opening. "Come on Andre we need to get back to the gr-" Neir sensed the beings to his right, and turned his head to get a better see. There was a giant leaf and a young woman and a creature there, looking up Neir and Andre. Neir instinctively put his right hand onto his blade, and simply asked Andre in a pleasant tone.

    "Friends of yours?"

It cut the air like a whip, shattering any form of respite for players. The Gatekeeper's scream pierced the air, shrill and cold, inviting the ancient magic to stir. Beginning as a rumble, the awakening of Aelhurt quickly raged into full-out chaos. Water went dry, evaporating into thin air. The Mana wells ran rampant, spewing a sick, foul-smelling sludge that quickly filled the streets. It's acidic quality made it so any organic material dropped within it's inky depths was disintegrated into nothingness. The air became polluted, rendering the place uninhabitable. And from this sick magic spawned hundred of forms of slime monsters, both big and small, and of varying abilities. From their birth in the misty blackness they sprung, hell-bent on feasting upon anything they could get their grotesque hands on, be it dead or alive.

To make matters worse, the black cloud over Darkest Towers -- that riveting, swirling cloud of doom -- split itself a piece, and sent that part sailing to the Tower of the Masters. The crackle of red lightning filled the air, setting everything on edge. The darkening atmosphere made for low visibility as the sun was hard-pressed to shine through the unnatural mist. Winds picked up even more, and the sky roared. Electricity struck ground, shaking the stone and creating smoking craters. Players would need to be very careful in traversing the unstable terrain.

Despite the utter hell breaking loose in the sector, the remaining parts of Aelhurt remained untouched, and suddenly very inviting to the panicked player.

Fredrick placed his hands to his head, groaning. "What in the name of...!" He practically shouted over the scream, wind, and all other stuff going on. A few seconds later, he was thrown to the side as a lightning bolt slammed into one of his golems reducing the construct into a pile of smoking rubble. "Alright, time to leave!" He shouted, barely keeping his balance as his other golem met the same fate. Sinking into the earth he popped out where he, thought that Raelius would be. Luck was with him, and he saw Raelius within sight. Fredrick sank into the ground again, and popped up in front of the man. "No time to explain where I'm taking you just don't open your mouth or eyes!" Fredrick said then grabbed the mans arm. They both sank into the ground and popped out of the relatively calm area of the Dark towers. Well, excluding the freaking screaming cat of course. Fredrick glared up at the thing and then sent a loose earthen pillar straight up at it, at most, it would shut it up. "Quiet would you?!" Fredrick said after finishing his act.

Kardos departed the sector and entered another, one overgrown by nature and choked by unchecked undergrowth. Kardos rode his steed into the jungle at an even pace, his eyes wary of what or who might be hiding within the bushes.

    --------------------------------------------------------

Sareth smiled when Neir commented on Andre.
"Energetic little boy, he has a sense of freedom I may never understand." Sareth remarked. Nier then departed to find the young boy and Sareth remained in the street, waiting by while the other two were gone. He then felt something strange, a chilling shriek on the wind, rather than of the wind. Sareth drew his sword at the ready immediately as he checked his surroundings, holding his shield up instinctively as he waited for whatever evil was to come.

    Andre shook his head.
"No, we're acquainted." Andre replied smugly. Sylph simply watched the two as they conversed, her keen ears picking up everything they say. Andre then looked up at Nier. "Do you think she's going to fire arrows at us? I heard Elves can do it in the blink of an eye..." Andre murmured worriedly. Solaril growled softly and Sylph shook her head. Andre turned around and his eyes widened. "Did you just... Hear what I said...?" Andre murmured.

Sylph nodded, and she beckoned forth.
"I mean no harm!" Sylph began, but before she could go on, there was a chilling cry and Sylph looked around. Andre did the same, and then he saw a well began to bubble and spill over sick toxic water into the street, not far from them.
    "That can't be good..."
Andre said worriedly. Sylph then looked down to Solaril, who nodded.

"Go, I'll be fine." Sylph looked away towards the toxic water for a moment, then back at Solaril, then nodded hesitantly. She ran over to some crates and ran up, jumping to a wall and then kicking off, doing the same on the opposing building and again until she was on the rooftop. She joined the two newcomers and clasped her hands together in a peaceful gesture. She then ran off as quick as she had come, free running across the rooftops to flee the sector.

Andre looked to Neir for a second.
"I think... We should do the same thing..." Andre murmured, before running off quickly in pursuit of the elf.

Neir heard Andre say they ha already met, and Neir smirked, although he knew Andre couldn't see it. He slightly chuckled and motioned towards the two, "they are given a little too much credit. They are the second fastest though." He observed Andre whisper, thinking the animal could hear him. He was a smart little kid indeed...

~you are observant indeed little one. This is going to help you for sure...~

Neir sensed the elf run and was quickly in front of Andre and himself. She made a small gesture and Neir bowed in return, but she was already off. Andre gestures to fallow with a smirk remark and Neir shook his head. That's when he noticed the change in air and the fountain had changed already.

~how did I not sense that? My sensing is obscured in this weather! Gah! I'll have to remove my mask...but maybe not yet...but I can still sense them. As long as they are with me I will not be so vulnerable. Oh...Sareth! Of coarse~

Neir extended his attention towards the place on the ground where Sareth was meant to be and found him, but he also sensed other beings of energy. They came from the storm and were crudely shaped, evil things. Neir stopped dead and immediately was concerned. He drew his blade and heard he sweet ring of the blades hum, finally glad to be out to protect its master. Neir yelled out, "Sareth! Above and around you!" He hope Sareth heard him, but it did not matter, Neir was already off the rooftop and jumped his way down and landed behind Sareth, just as one monster reached out to grab him, and Neir cut it down in one smooth motion. But he assumed position right off, carefully placing his left foot imbetween sareths, and had his blade in his right hand. His left on Sareths right shoulder.

"Do not worry! I will watch your back!" He yelled through the winds "Andre! No! Keep in distance of us! We must keep togeth-" he was cut off short as another monster he had not seen nor sensed appear and slash at him, he had time to duck and quickly bounced back with a counter strike, lifted his left foot and brought it up to kick the monster with success, with the momentum, he was brought to balance on top of sareths shoulder in a handstand, and backflipped. He heard a small remark and yelled, "backslash Sareth!" He sensed another creature as he landed and did a quick leg sweep, catching it off guard, then slashing down and it disappeared. Neir turned around again only to be struck hard by a claw of some sort, and was pushed back a little.

~only a wraith can be that unseen by my senses! Damn it all! Where did they come from?!~

He raised his blade again but only to be met by another slash but from behind, he was again caught off guard, then he was lifted off his feet by what seemed to be a giant wraith, and was thrown into the air. Neir held tightly onto his blade and tried to sense a platform in which he could shadow jump to. He was quickly met by a platform in which he sensed had two beings on it. And one was a hollow suit of armor.

~what creature could that be?! How is it...unless...soul bound? But how? That type of magic is sealed away! Gah! No time! I must jump with the last of this instant power Andre granted!~

Neir gathered the remaining energy to jump, and so did. He landed just a bit above the ground an landed with a roll, coming to his feet next the suit of armor, and a tired man who seemed to be in shock. He looked up and raised his hands at them in a friendly way. "I mean no harm to you! I seek the alchemist in these crazed moments! Are either of you him?" Neir said in a rushed tone, also sensing the cat like creature above.

    The Guardian's Cry

Before Raelius could find a good ambush point, all Hell broke loose. A high-pitched scream cut through the air like a deadly Elven arrow, and the ground began to shake as if the world was splitting in half. The air became hot and thin. While attempting to scale the side of a house, Raelius lost his balance and fell. He could hear the sound of rock crumbling and wood snapping. It was as if the city itself had been angered by its occupiers and was roaring in protest. Raelius hit the ground with a loud thump and the concussion knocked the wind from his lungs. He dropped the Sword and the puzzlebox flew from its pouch.

Groaning in pain, Raelius got to his feet and retrieved the Sword. Just as he reached for the box, however, a loud crash sounded from the house he attempted to scale. A large beast blew through the wall, knocking Raelius over and pelting him with shrapnel. Getting back to his feet once more, the beast made a low, raspy, feral cry and set its sights upon Raelius.

The monster stood nearly nine feet tall on all fours, covered in matted tattered gray fur. Parts of its body were completely bald, making it appear as though the fur was simply glued on in clumps. The beast’s muzzle was much like a hound’s but the bald skin above its teeth formed scaled lips, and the teeth themselves seemed mismatched: Some long and sharp, others wide and serrated. The eyes of the beast were whited out and it’s ears were absent, with only dark holes in the side of its head. The feet were much like paws, with freakishly long and translucent claws protruding from the toes.

This Canine-Reptilian beast growled a low, coarse groan, stepping slowly toward Raelius. As it inched toward him, he noticed multicolored pieces of wooden shrapnel under its front-right paw, along with a purple liquid puddle. The puzzlebox had been crushed.

The Sword on his shoulder, Raelius backed up, back into the streets. Before the beast had the opportunity to attack, the man in the armor, Frederick, appeared seemingly from nowhere and pulled him into the ground.

Crawling in the muck, biting and bleeding, unique monsters grew and formed. Three, exactly, though attached at one base. Yet they considered themselves three. In the shape of a dragon, with three heads, two wings, legs and a single tail covered in barbs. Their misty skin glittered with the teeth of sharp metal. Each great head was different: one was made of fire and ash, one of stone and iron, the other of topaz crystals corroded with oozing sludge. The sclera of each of their eyes was filled in black, the center pinpointed with crimson.

They reeked with the stench of carnage; devouring their brethren in the darkness did nothing to sate their ravenous hunger. And, feeling materialized enough to manuver safely in the mortal realm, the three-headed Thing burst from its dark birthplace. The scent of fresh, untainted meat wafted through the tense air, and the Thing scrambled after it. Unbeknownst to Naunix, it was his smell the Thing was after. And if he did not defend himself, or flee, the Thing would kill him and devour his remains.

    -----------

The monsters came like a black torrent, pouring in waves down the streets. Great and fearsome, of all shapes and dominions. What they all shared in common was the unmerciful, cold look in their dark red eyes. Nothing would sate the hunger, nothing would stop the torrent.

Andre, in his attempt to flee, was quickly overrun by the demons, and he disappear into the blackness. Sareth fought valiantly, bringing down many a monster. But even he was subdued by the dark magic, and they tore him apart in their satanic march to the sector's rims. Kardos, unable to fend against spectral beings driven by nothing save their hunger, was defeated. Sylph and Solaril, too, were among the fallen. All who did not flee the sector quickly enough were torn asunder.

    The Beast

Naunix heard a great deal of movement a short expanse behind him that was decreasing in distance with each thump of paces. He quickly spun around to come face to face…to face…to face…with a large creature resembling a dragon of sorts. It had three different heads, each formed in an entirely different manner and of completely contrasting materials. Overall the beast looked as if it had been vomited up from the deepest stomach of a hellish dimension. Despite the horrid beasts stench and appearance, Naunix showed and felt no fear for his current situation. However, he was not an idiot and was clearly in a state of warning as he planned out the moves in his head.

~Skin like a thousand bladed scales overlapping quite tightly…I’m going to have to strike for it’s throats…ups and downs…there are three throats, more targets, but more assailants as each throat has an angry head attached. As fare as I’m concerned, those barbs across its body are footholds to me, they are spread out enough to be used as steps instead of avoided as weapons. Clearly this monster was built to fight off similarly sized monsters that would…in same ridiculous way…consider it or ‘them’ to be food. This creature resembles something in the middle of the food chain with the capabilities to defend itself like something at the top. Strong defense and a vicious three pronged offense allowing it to slaughter even the hungriest of predators…where the hell was this thing concocted and WHAT the hell was ever tried to eat it~

He thought as he unsheathed his blades and readied himself for combat and with a quick decision Naunix dropped his stature into a stance of movement and busted forward at the beast all whilst maintaining a calm expression and a silent presence. Overall it made little sense…a man with adrenaline surging through his veins, prepared to fight to his death, but his expression remained cold and his lips closed with a lack of any battle cry of sorts.

As Naunix reached a distance of no more than a few mere paces he falsely raised his weapons as if he was going to strike at the beasts belly. It looked weathered with age and would recognize this as a common attempt to strike the weaker portion of his body. This creature would be ready for a strike that low and probably prepared to deal with it. However, Naunix knew this much from analyzing the beast and had no intention of following the suit of its fallen predators…

Instead of swinging at the beast Naunix launched himself into the air and proceeded to preform half a back flip. He aimed to lock his legs around the middle neck of the beast. If he managed to land successfully the two side heads would strike at his body to prevent fatal damage to the middle head. Once again his actions were nothing more than a distraction for a greater goal. Before his legs ever found themselves around the beast neck he began to bend backwards. Naunix acted as if he was leaning back to walk underneath a low bar without his chest touching. By doing this two of the heads should strike at his body and come up with nothing more than the air he had parted during his flight.
Provided that his leap went as planned, Naunix would finish his acrobatic attempt hanging by his legs on the middle neck with the left and right heads of the beast crossing paths where they would probably estimate his body to be. This would place Naunix in close quarters with the beast and have it relatively unguarded from confusedly following instinct imbedded through years of survival.
