Oblivion was an incredible game, still is in my books. I spent months playing it again and again, even writing by hand my own personal guide to every quest and area I found.

The transition to Skyrim was a harsh one, as I felt the system was dumbed down far too much. Yes, we got all kinds of new perks, animations, assassination and finisher moves, and a lot of customization options, and I had a nerdgasim at the return of being a werewolf...but I feel we lost a lot more than we gained. Armor is in fewer parts, now just boots, gloves, body(cuirass and greaves combined) and helm. Granted, this makes things simpler, but I miss being able to mix and match to a greater degree. Like when Oblivion made the gloves a pair and added the pauldrons to the cuirass as one piece of armor, I felt that restricted my aesthetic options.

...And I'm going to stop myself there and just say I love both games and Morrowind, but prefer Morrowind to both for reasons. I would LOVE for them to pull a Bungie/343 and make a Morrowind anniversary or something. Just update the graphics and the combat system, leave everything else the same(well, maybe take cliffracers out)...just....fuck the hell yes.

Did the exact same thing... Sorta. Got to max level and did like, every factions progress. I never even started the main story line though. (Hadn't even returned the necklace) Then. BAM. Corrupted data??? Couldn't load up any save. Deleted all the dats/memory.

Bought it again and slayed that bad ass game.

Happened to me way back when. T'was crushing but i got over it because i lurv Oblivion so much.

Played Morrowind.

Got bored before I finished.

Played Oblivion.

Was stunned by it (2009). Got right up to the end, and the dude...prince bitch, got stuck in the previous section of the city. Game locked. Fuck you. Remains unfinished. Also got bored of it for 2 months in the middle of it if I remember right.

I don't do rpg's like that apparently. Then again...I get bored of everything. :/
