    Venus Della Lune

    Personal Info

    Age:
    16
    Gender:
    Female
    Region and City of Residence:
    Hoenn -- Lilycove City
    Height and Weight:
    5’8 & 139 lbs

    Personality:
"Always fabulous. You need to embrace it!" -- Venus is the typical airheaded rich kid you see on TV. She truly means well, but sometimes you have to wonder if there's anything under that perfectly shampooed head of hers. As a result she tends to come off as very naive about things, despite her insistence that she knows what she's doing. She doesn't understand sarcasm and seems to have an endless amount of cheerfulness to her. Despite her high and mighty appearance she isn't afraid to get down and dirty, so long as there's a spa day following, that is. She thinks most problems can get solved with a touch to a phone to contact daddy, but likes to try to handle things in her own hands. She also has a very brave asset to her, though you have to wonder if it's that she really is that brave or that stupid to perform such dangerous stunts...
Her Pokemon are her life, and they love her just as much. There is a strong bond between them, especially with Belle. She despises Pokemon cruelty and will admonish those who don't take proper care. And on the subject of care, her Pokemon are pampered just as much, if not more then she is. Despite specializing in Beauty contests, she does know her way around effective battling, at least to get herself out of any pinches.
    Biography:
Typical rich kid background. Parents had no time for her, blah blah stuff happened. So obviously, in order to get their attention, Venus raised hell in that house as a child; she would run around annoying everyone, screamed her head off when things didn't go her way, and hid the remote control. Many staff had a tendency to quit because of her, and she secretly hoped that if no one else was around, she'd get that attention she needed.
As this IS her history, there was, eventually, someone who changed her. That of course, being her Feebas. That day her mother had sat her down and had a good, long scolding about how rotten her personality was. She gave her a Feebas and told her that if she treated it with love, it would eventually pay off. This Pokemon was THE most hideous thing she had ever seen; and as a result, Venus thought nothing of it. Still, it was there no matter what she did.
Eventually she gave in and started really taking care of it, and as a reward, saw how much fun it was to take care of something. She still didn't see what her mom was talking about, but was eventually able to go out on her own and see the world and found her calling: the Pokemon Contests. It was hard sometimes, but with much encouragement from the Pokemon she caught, her spirits lifted and that no good bratty attitude vanished. With much love, she started taking care of each one and found herself surrounded by that same love she gave.
What started to worry her was Feebas, now nicknamed Belle.; all her other Pokemon had evolved, but it stayed that same. Was she doing something wrong? She eventually went back home to show her progress to her mother, and continued to worry.
After winning another Ribbon, she thanked Belle for everything. If it wasn't for her, she wouldn't have learned what it really meant to love and care for someone. Because of that, Belle would always be her best friend. It was right then and there that Belle evolved from a Feebas to a Milotic. Venus was in complete shock, to say the least. That ugly little thing evolved into that?! That had to be the reward her mother was talking about; and with the biggest grin she had ever sported, she was glad that her friend's beauty now showed from the inside and out.
Now she seeks to conquer the Ribbons in the Kanto region.

    Kenta “Ace Trainer” Elm

    Age:
    16
    Gender:
    Male
    Region and City of Residence:
    Celadon City, Kanto
    Height and Weight:
    5‘10“ and 168 lbs.

    Personality:
Kenta is a highly laid back person who prefers to take his time in doing anything rather than rushing headfirst into them. He possesses a highly friendly nature as a result of which he does not seek to harm others unless greatly instigated. He puts up the appearance of a very simple minded person but is in reality is blessed with a highly perceptive intellect and is very much an intellectual who has numerous layers to his rather complex personality. He has very uncommon and slightly difficult to understand views about life and as such is often faced with rather unique moral dilemmas.

Kenta is not highly concerned about his own welfare or even his reputation, taking everything in his stride with a smile on his face. It is his belief that there is no point in crying over spilt milk and as such is not known to hold grudges. He'll face abuse and insult from others without fighting back and laugh about it stating that attacking the person who insulted him will not change his or that person's views and it was his misfortune that others think about him in such a manner. Kenta believes that preventing such instances in the future will be better than taking rash actions which will result in nothing but more animosity. As such he believes that for two such people, who share very different views, it's better to go their separate ways.

However this indifferent attitude of his is not extended towards his friends' safety and he is more than willing to go against anyone who attacks or insults a friend. This shows the bizarre complexity of his personality as while he has no problem with harm coming to himself, he will not willingly let others come in harms way. Though he is against the idea of needless bloodshed, even if honor is involved, he will step up for a fight when a friend is in danger or an innocent person is being harmed. This often leads people who are witnessing such actions of his to wrongly believe that he is a coward and is too scared to fight. But this could not be more far from the truth as he is not scared to step up for a fight no matter how strong his opponent may be. But he prefers to use diplomacy when possible and a course of action that involves the least bloodshed is most appealing to him.

He is also a very fun loving person and is often the center of attraction due to his tendency to pull pranks and tease people. He is almost always joking and some people even look down on him for never taking things seriously. Any opportunity to try something new is a source of great excitement to him. But beneath all this goofiness and simple mindedness lies a very serious side of his personality that surfaces whenever the situation calls for it. He will never let anyone else come to harm due to his actions; so he becomes very serious and calm when the situation calls for it. In such situations he can be a very brave and reassuring presence and can greatly inspire his comrades by frank yet kind encouragement.

    Biography:

Nathaniel Elm, the once reigning Kanto Champion. He was known as on the most powerful, talented and intellectual trainer of his time. There was said to be few that could beat him and he even took the three legendary birds; which he used a type disadvantage and still won. This man was Kenta's father and the story was something known the throughout the world. It was also the story that Elm told Nathaniel's son, Kenta. Kenta always loved to hear whenever there was a video talk between Elm and Kenta's mother, Iza. The boy admired his father and always would. The shame of it all was that Nathan had died almost two years before it was time for Kenta, leaving behind three pokemon that he had yet to raise to his son.

Kenta began his start within Kanto, gaining his trainer license and pokedex from Professor Oak. From the moment he started his adventure, the boy had a natural talent for training and raising pokemon. He understood them like his father before which granted an edge for someone of his calibur. Brock was his first victim, being defeated by his Growlithe in a match that would garner him recognition. From there on, he continued down the path of a trainer, traveling, making friends, catching pokemon, and most important winning battles. A journey that lead him all the way to the Elite Four as the undefeated Ace Trainer Kenta Elm. What most people expected, he took them out. From there Kenta moved on to the champion and reclaimed the title that was once held by his father, Kanto Champion.

He had achieved what he had always dreamed but, now he wanted to go farther. From Hoenn and up, they would all understand who he was. The next Pokemon Master was on his way so, the world had best be ready.

@Aika: Yeah, coordinator is fine. I'll count it as a trainer slot, but you can go coordinator if you wish.

@Taka: That first picture doesn't work either. You can't hotlink zerochan images. You can save them to photobucket or tinypic, and then link them from there just fine, but not directly from zerochan.

    Character Name Christopher Iscal
    Nickname: Chris

    Personal Info

    Age: 35
    Gender: Male
Region and City of Residence: Originally from Slateport City in the Hoenn Region, Chris now locates himself as a traveling guru of sorts. He does own a home in Evergrande City, however.
Height and Weight: Five foot eight, and One-Hundred-eighty-five pounds.

    Personality:

Chris is one of those guys that doesn’t seem to be clear within his words. This meaning that, in some cases, Chris will be that type of person to go off-subject quite often, and even more so, he has been known to not even get to the point unless someone tells him to just spit it out. On top of that, Chris acts a bit odd for his own good. This meaning that, in most cases, he’ll be an odd one in conversation. Like, a prime example of this would be that Chris would just stare at the person or people he is talking to either with his head tilted, or just a rather unpleasant, and curious look across his face.

The way Chris acts on a non-battling sense is kind of how he acts in battle. He usually tries to give the people he’s facing some sort of poker face that would insinuate that he has no idea what he’s doing. This has been put into play since Chris became one of the Hoenn Region’s Elite Four. It’s odd. Chris shows no maturity as he sometimes also acts like he’s still a kid, but of course this comes with his love of pokemon. Such a trait translates in his relationship with his pokemon. Taking in said reasoning will result in Chris’ odd, but still very useful, battle strategy.

If someone got to know Chris on a rather personal level, they would not only get used to the oddness he brings to conversation, but embrace it to such a level that wouldn’t be a bother for them. Furthermore, Chris would also joke around with them. Sometimes, however, his jokes will be perceived as cold, and bland to most who don’t understand his, again, odd behavior. Yes, his oddness translates into his sense of humor, as well with his overall mood. Chris is always in a good mood, just in case there were some who are wondering.

    Biography:

Having a love for pokemon that has spawned from over three decades of life, Chris will consider himself one of those lucky ones. He came from a lovely home that had loving family members, especially his parents. They knew once Chris would turn ten, he would, illogically in realism standards, venture on his own. Of course, in the world of pokemon, that would be a usual way of doing things. Chris did originally live in Cerulean City in the Kanto region, but his parents were travelers who went all around the Pokemon World. Of course, this was when his parents were younger. So, when they settled down, they did so in Lilycove City in the Hoenn Region.

After they did that, Chris’ parents gave birth to him, and together they all lived in Lilycove until Chris was about ten where he would do his own travels. They knew their son would leave, so as a gift of beginning his life as a pokemon trainer, Chris’ parents gave him his first pokemon, which was a Swinub. This little furball pokemon took an early liking to Chris, and soon the two of them set out for Chris’ journey.

Over the next ten years, Chris had multiple adventures. Some of these adventures were greater than the others. The rest, well they weren’t as fun, but they provided him with a great learning experience for him. He became a three-time champion of the Pokemon League spreading throughout three regions — Johto, Kanto, and Hoenn. Throughout those three regions, Chirs has collected the six best friends he has had the pleasure of knowing — Wlarein, Mamoswine, Cyrogonal, Tropius, Glalie, and Aerodactyl. All six of these pokemon have been with him through it all, and they continue to bond with him even more.

In the current day, Chris continues to strive for even more friends to be made. His travels has made him a legend. Such a title has gave him a spot among the best of the Hoenn Region as the strongest Ice-Type trainer, and even being in the Elite Four. However, some of the traits with that title comes with a downside. Every time there’s a trouble in any region, he is required to see what it’s all about. This is the very case when Chris heard about the troubles in Johto. It seems that Team Rocket is at it again, and Chris needs to attend to this like many trainers are doing.

Can I go ahead and reserve a Team Rocket Grunt? And I should have my apps up by tonight.

Also, are our Pokemon capable of Evolving and learning new moves as they grow stronger? Just wondering.

Here's my character, I've been working on this since last night and I just now noticed that I share some Pokémon with some other people. I hope that's not a problem! Hopefully I can be accepted. =)

I'd rather do a physical description via words than a picture, is that an option? If not, I'll find one.

    Character Name: William Viridian

    Personal Info

    Age: 23
    Gender: Male
Region and City of Residence: Hoenn, Rustborough
    Height and Weight: 5,9 120lb

    Personality:

Something that would be quite obvious when talking to Will, is that he is severly scatterbrained. Unless there is a problem at hand, or unless he is trying to do something he deems 'awesome', it is recommended to use a freeze-frame to see his attention span. Despite this, he is capable of applying himself when it matters, or when he finds a problem interesting. Otherwise he'd be a pretty shitty gym leader, now wouldn't he? He could be described as a nerd, delighting in understanding things and science in general. This is best shown by how potential challengers can be asked to sign a contract, that if they lose, certain members of their team will have to particapate in 'experiments', perfectly safe of course, if he thinks they could prove useful. This can range from a series of physical tests to a simple skin tissue and blood sample. He can be witty when in company that he feels comfortable around, and tends to amble and ramble in conversations, though when trying to sort something out he can be rude, to the point that he normally has to apologise after whatever problem there was has been dealt with. He is not a terribly convenient person, swinging between being very organised and forgetting to tie his shoes with worrying frequency. He eats and sleeps a lot less than he truly should, but this isn't a problem as long as he periodically commits a day to sleeping to make up for lost sleep. As well as being a Gym Leader, he has a job at Devon, working as a researcher in the cloning project. It was his work there that allowed him to acquire Chalcidian, Granite and Raptor, while Dictator was given to him as a Larvitar, as his first pokemon. The Garchomp was caught as a Gible, after he became a Leader, and was purpose-trained to work well with the team, taking advantage of Dicator's Sand Stream with it's own Sand Viel. Depending on the strength of the challenger, he does not always require this pokemon to be defeated, and it will be amongst the last to be used. He has ambitions to be an Elite Four, and has climbed to the top of the Hoenn Gym Leaders, and is challenging the Johto Gyms as a way to train before attempting to get promoted.

    Biography:

Will was born in Rustborough City, as a third generation of a family that immigrated from Kanto, hence the name. Rock and Ground types had been in his family since before they came from Kanto, with his great-grandfather once being the leader of the Ground Type Gym there, and another distant relative having once been a Rock Type Gym Leader. As such, he grew up surrounded by Geodude's, Numels, Sandshrews, and a variety of other Rock and Ground pokemon. He showed a proficiency wth battling from a young age, enough that his older cousin, a challanger at the Elite Four went out to get him a Larvitar as his first pokemon. He always expressed dissatisfaction that the Rock Gym was the weakest in the region. He also did not like the stigma that Rock types had as 'stupid' pokemon, and how Psychic trainers were viewed as more intelligent. From a young age, he set out to fix both of these perceived issues. This led to a strange way of training his pokemon, because even as he put them round obstacle courses, break things, fight each other and others, he would be measuring their heart-rate, timing them, filming, and plotting graphs on the results, as well as training their problem solving, logical deducation and reaction speed. He felt that if his pokemon could fight through hordes of enemies, but would get trumped by a simple spot the difference, or by him losing his voice, they would never prove themselves over their opponents in a meaningful, and awesome, way.

It was with a relentless optimism, backed up by literal months of data and training, that he challenged his first gym, at the age of 13. Of course, it was the Rock Type Gym, in his home town. If he was to prove that Rock Types could be better than the champion, he would first have to show them as better than the lowest gym. His Larvitar, named Lorica after an ancient type of armour (his philosophy in regards to names was that obscurity trumped coolness) handily beat the gym, reinforcing his beliefs that his method of training was the best one. Whether or not this was true, it was clear that he was a good trainer. Still, his one-man, one-pokemon war against the Hoenn Gym Leaders was hampered quite severly by the fact that he could only battle in the holidays, school work was still a thing, after all. Over the next few years he defeated the rest of Hoenn's Gyms, as well as defeating the Normal Type Gym in Johto, and the Psychic Gym in Sinnoh on two separate family holidays. By the time he was 17, with a Tyranitar in tow, he was ready to challenge the Hoenn Elite Four. Defeat on the first member's last pokemon was a harrowing experience.

After losing the Elite Four, Will had some much-needed perspective to what he had done before. Looking back, it was fairly obvious that he had been putting too much faith in his training techniques and his one pokemon. A single Tyranitar would not be enough. Not by a long shot. At this point, it would normally be time for a training/catching montage, it was in fact time for more exams, followed by more years of education. He went to university after sixth form, taking a degree in Theoretical Pokemon Molecular Sciences, which led to a job working for Devon. His work there allowed him to get a Kabuto, Aerodactyl and a Tirtouga. With these pokemon, he decided to get back on the path to... well, he wasn't quite sure, it was either to be the best trainer as a result of the Rock Type, or to become the Champion, or a Gym Leader. In general, it could be summarised as 'be as powerful as we can be, while using mostly Rock Types'. He challenged the Rustborough Gym Leader to a battle for control of the gym, the gym was already the weakest, and Will had defeated all of the Hoenn gyms, so he decided to let the leader his all of their pokemon, plus allow all of the gym trainers to fight with all of theirs, and he would only use Lorica. Despite the overwhelming numbers, anyone who had defeated all of the Hoenn gyms could have repeated the feat, so it was not at all surprising that he won. A large amount of paperwork later, and Will was the gym leader, and the rock gym was the strongest in Hoenn. With that new change, it became a lot harder for new trainers to reach it, meaning it was a much less busy position than it had been, meaning that Will could elope from this position for long periods of time, and still keep his job at Devon. Immidiately following this, he decided to take on the Johto Gym Leaders, in a work holiday, of course.

Alright, if your character is on the character list on the first page, you're accepted.

As it stands now, we have enough people to start the IC. I'll make it when I get home from work, and I'll make a CCT now and have it posted, with a link under the announcements, in about ten minutes.

EDIT: I'm still somewhat new to this site, so where do we post CCT's here? And I'll just have to post it after work then, since i don't have time to go on a hunt.

I wish I was savvy enough to know what a 'CCT' is.

Setting that aside, I was wondering - and this may even be related to 'CCT's - if there might be links in the list of characters to the posts containing their data.

    Something like:

Johto - Alaric "The Metal Master" Laverne ~ Vormund

Not that I want to request more effort here. Hell: I - or someone else, if they prefer - could write it up and send it to you. Assuming, again, that this is not related to a 'CCT'.

It really is kinda funny, now that I think about it."
