Actually, the film was suppose to be the Chinese, and not the North Koreans. But word got out to some Chinese blokes who weren't too happy about it, so they picked the one nation that couldn't really offend anyone.

Did you guys hear about The Onion calling Kim Jong-un in world's sexiest man, and the North Koreans were all confused. Then, the next day, they started with their "lol we have missles fuck you" thing and I'm pretty sure it's because Kim found out it was all bullshit.

They try to justify a lot of NK's capabilities throughout the movie. I think, for some god damned reason, NK is supported by Russia, which is why they have such a capable military. And when they invade, they utilize an EMP that, I guess, disables the entire U.S. fucking military. But NK has these stupid fucking suitcases (they never explain what's inside them) that somehow keeps their shit from being effected by the EMP. It's a really dumb movie.

Cause the Military's hardware ain't hardened against EMP. Nope.
No bunkers with Magnetic Shielding (Faraday box will stop EMP...you know how easy it is to put wire mesh into reinforced concrete??

And EMP lasts for months to require "magic suitcases"? EMP is a once around blast that showers the earth with free electrons. Once the radiation passes, the EMP is done. Over with. Anything not damaged by the influx of electrons works as normal.

Hell, I haven't seen it, I've just read reviews and used common-fucking-sense. I get a lot of shit sometimes for taking films to literal, and sometimes I do that. But, when your film is based on the premise of North Korea taking over the United States, then for fucks sake, I'm going to poke holes in it so large, you could fly a Galaxy-class starship through with room to spare.
