Deity: Vulnar, God of Honour. Vulnar is typically depicted as a tall, muscular warrior, fully outfitted in weapons and armour. Most renditions of Vulnar depict him standing atop the corpse of a fallen foe. Vulnar is said to have a penchant for the sight, smell, taste and texture of blood. Blood sacrifices on shrines of Vulnar are customary, and items typically associated with him are weapons of varying kinds. Vulnar is said to be a vengeful, but, true to his nature, honourable man. Vulnar's teaching, compelled on his followers, is to only kill those who are capable of defending themselves. It is considered not only cowardly, but also blasphemous to kill those who have submitted to your ability. Vulnar is said to be rugged and unkempt, but devoid of any scars or wounds; a sign meant to be less vindictive of his status as a God and more of his status as an undefeated warrior.
Magic: Cruoris uses magic in the manufacturing of its weapons and armour.
Divine Gifts: Clan Cruoris' bloodkin are blessed by Vulnar with a near inexhaustible stamina. Bloodkin can fight, work, march and hunt for much longer than their neighbours without requiring rest. Vulnar also bestows his power as a healer onto Cruoris. Bloodkin who are lightly wounded can be healed easily and quickly, and those with moderate wounds can be battle-ready again in a relatively short manner of time. Vulnar's healing does not extend to serious or lethal injuries, however. Bloodkin are called to sacrifice themselves in battle if they receive too powerful of a blow, so as to die in glory, and to avoid draining the resources of and weakening the land and society which they fight to defend.
