    ModemPunk

    sup.

If you're reading this, I assume you already know how things got to be this way. Used to be you could copy a movie or the latest Queen album no problem, now you need a permit to own a computer or a VCR or a walkman or whatever. I don't even know how much gas costs nowadays, but I can't remember when I last drove a car so who cares. I guess you could say we're the bad guys here, what with bootlegging the entertainment industry to death, but it was going to fall anyways. I mean, when was the last time you could afford to go to the movies? It's a Phreaking luxury now.

So, whatcha gonna do? Maybe you'll Squirrel away your gear, maybe throw it into a river and straighten up, probly get a nice 9-5 job plugging code for the feds for about enough to keep you alive. Or a better idea. Pick a handle, (or better yet, earn one), hit the sneakernet, don't trust anyone older than you, get laid, whatever. Put together some nice toys. You know the drill.

    Just say no.

Basically, cyberpunk set in the time of early dial-up modems. I have a bit of a plot planned, but is anyone interested?

    Seems legit.

    Count me in.

The warrior is the ultimate fighter, able to take tons of damage and dish it right back out.
Just make sure you don't do anything to piss off your healers.

Actually, no, but I have started reading it, still coming high off of Snow Crash.

In any case, I think we'll be ready to start as soon as I guess one or two more people join.
