I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
Minbari didn't catch on until it was too late to respond to the situation adequately. Damnit! She vehemently cursed anything she could think of, but such was life on the Citadel. Especially with all of the new renovations going on. There was less manpower to devote to keeping the stupid mercenaries in check and many of the brighter ones had been killed off during the fight against Sovereign. She rose just a half second after her new friend, who may or may not be too by-the-book to help her, and drew her HMWP Master Pistol VII from her hip. There were some benefits to being a Spectre.
The mercenaries turned on the two gunslingers, Yellow and Blue glaring at Minbari as she frowned. It wasn't unusual to see the Eclipse and Blue Suns at each other's throat but they had what looked like a scrappy man between them this time. Minbari would put money on drugs being involved. She gave the man a once over. Lots of drugs.
It looked like a Salarian with some impressive handcuffs. Kinky. And a sign of danger if ever Minbari saw one. She desperately hoped this would not turn into an all out brawl but she would also put money on that as well. Just as she thought it, she saw the thought cross the mind of the salarian with the pistol out. She watched his arm twitch ever so slightly before he whipped it in the direction of the C-SEC officer beside her and fired. I should have drunk more.
