    Hey Spam

    I'm looking into buying throwing knives, but when I look at amazon, it seems like every one is catered for ninja-fanboys and designed to look cool rather than actual use. Can any of you recommend a set/company?

    In Flanders fields the poppies blow;
    Between the crosses, row on row;
    That mark our place; and in the sky;
    The larks, still bravely singing, fly;
    Scarce heard amid the guns below.

    The martial arts catalog I used to get annually from my instructor had some nice ones that weren't too pricey (got my first set from them). It was Century Martial Arts but I can't be sure that they still stock throwing knives. I'll check some affiliated companies for you.

    Or this place: http://http://www.knife-depot.com/throwing-knives/

    The silver ones are similar to mine. They're mainly competition grade, though.

    Bud K, Cold Steel, and Knight's Edge just to name a few. But granted, even kunai styled throwing knives can be good for practice. The main thing to remember when throwing any style of knife is to get one good, full, end over end rotation of the blade to help it build momentum and throw it in a solid arc. Any more spins than that and it throws it off center, destroying your aim and making it harder to stick the blade(more chance for it to hit the side or hilt of the knife, making it bounce off the target) Also, straight toss(as in no rotation at all) is pure bullshit.
    To what end would I hold this soul that is shattered?
    With dead heart so cold and spirit so tattered
    My mind in shambles and broken body so battered
    Where sorrow has filled the void and I've lost all that mattered
    To what end would I hold this soul that is shattered?
