So a simple idea came to mind: take the standard cast of characters with their jutsus but change the background and motivations of them.
So things like Kakashi stealing Obito's eye out of his head over instead of it being a gift or Naruto being acknowledged as the 4th hokage's son and he's become a princely dandy or a living weapon instead of constantly shunned.
Timewise this would start at the same time as the original naruto serries and people would play as one of the genin/chunin/jounin/ect but only one of each 'rank'
This could let people play heroes as villan's and the reverse for their village. Scrubbing away the taint of angst and emo from the worst of the characters such as garra or sauske or adding an emo paintjob on rock lee being constantly super-depressed over having nothing but taijutsu.
