Pirates of the Carribean: The Ongoing Adventures(IC)

    (OOC is always accepting!)

The moonlight shined brightly on the beach of a tropical island, but the real beauty was ina cave on this said island. After a few hours of booby traps and almost death, Jones Sparrow finally made it. He was in a ruined cavern with a natural waterfall flowing through it. In the center was a pedestal with a glowing red stone, the inside moved like it was a fire swirling inside it. Jones gave a signature Sparrow grin, his emerald eyes sparkling with extreme joy even though he was covered in dirt and cuts. He slowly walked towards it, gingerly puttingnhis fingers to it as he gave a light laugh. He picked it up and held it up to the moonlight cracking through the ceiling when he heard the clicking of pistols. "And that was a young woman opening a bottle of rum for me!" He said hoping he was right as he turned to see a pirate with two eyepatches on both his eyes. He wkre a red trench coat, and his face was brutally scarred. He held two pistols in Jones' face. Jones frowned. "Definetly not a woman... but you smell like rum."

"Shut up, Sparrow!" The pirate said. His name was Snake Eye Mike. Although he couldnt see, he could hear and sense anything. "Hand over the Pheonix Stone, and ill consider making your death painless." He snarled. He saw three more men join him, all fully capable of seeing him, and killing him. Jones stroked his beard, looking like he was going to choose a door from a gameshow.

"I dont know, Mikey... if you were going to give a man a threat, make it sound like you'll keep 'em alive..." he grabbed a rock on a near by boulder. "And i risked my neck out to get this while you sat in the darkness and watched the--ohh, sorry about that... anyways, why dont we talk about it and--" he looked in the distance confusingly. "Huh... thats a weird place to put a piano..."

With that the guards looked over, and Jones threw the rock, giving the impression that Jones started off, which made Mike shoot in that direction. Jones then kicked the bottom of his sheaths, his twin gold swords popping out. He grabbed them and sliced two of the guards's legs, and rolling off the back of another. With the Stone firmly in his pocket, he took off out of the room, and down the tunnel cave to get back to the Hurricane and its crew.

"Ahoy Copper." I groan as I hear the voice of one Jack Sparrow. The exact man I was hoping not to run into.
"Go away Jack." I say, turning away from him and going in the opposite direction.
"Ye don't even know what I want!" He said, catching up to me. I roll my eyes at nothing in particular as I speed up.
"Ye either want sex or ye want my services and I ain't offering ye either." I told him, taking a sharp right, trying to shake him but it isn't working.
"Then why be ye here? Rumor has it yer looking for a Sparrow." He said and I laughed. He is a self centered pompous idiot.
"You're not thee only Sparrow who docks here Jack. Seems like yer brother needs a new gunsmith and I'm here to offer my services." I told him. Why am I still talking to him?
"Is that all you're here to offer?" He asked him and I stop and turn to glare at him.
"Aye, not everyone is a whore like ye Jack." I said sharply, slapping him across the cheek. Serves him right, implying that.
"Oi! Come on Copper!" Jack yelled after me.
    "Go away Jack." Copper said.
"He's not even here Mary." Jack said.
"You do not get to used that name." Copper spat, stalking off.

Tortuga. For a long while Sarah was certain she wasn't going to make it here. The King's agents had been everywhere, all over England and beyond, following her when they could and searching for her when she lost them. She was certain they meant to kidnap her now, torture her and extract the secrets she possessed. They had been searching ships, looking for a young blond aristocrat in voluminous petticoats and a parasol but she had fooled them. A quick visit to a merchant at the docks and she was attired suitably as a deck hand. A deal that had been far in favour of the shopkeeper who had basically received the finest of linens in exchange for leftover scraps but at least she had been nigh unrecognizable and had managed to book herself passage to this lowly hellhole of a port town.

Everywhere she strode she gaped, sometimes at the strange form of opulence managed by this rapscallion filled city. Other times by the violence that made her cringe and wish to hide. Everywhere she went she could feel eyes following her, determining if she would make for an easy mark. Shuddering she imagined herself pressed into service with a cudgel to her skull or much much worse.

What she needed was a captain, a daring and intelligent soul who would help her find the ancient treasure of El Dorado and more importantly, what lay at the heart of the mystical city. Limitless wealth and the power of a god! She almost tittered at the prospect before remembering that tittering in such a port could draw most unwelcome attention.

Copper watched a girl, she wasn't a pirate...more likely a run away noble. She walked boldly up to her, blocking her from some of the views of the other people.
"And who are you love?" She asked the girl, looking her up and down. She looked like a deckhand with her clothes but acted like a royal to someone who used to be in her place and have seen many others in her place.
"Noble? Some type of aristocrat. On the run from an arranged marriage I assume? Or something of that nature. I'm Mary De Penny, you can call me Copper. Don't worry, I'll help you. I was supposed to be in your shoes but Fate was kind and dealt me this card." Copper laughed.

The diminutive blonde girl gaped. The woman before her was so beautiful, with long raven black tresses and bore raiment of some refinement and that hat. That was a captain's hat wasn't it, but then women couldn't be captains or- so- they said?

She had been in Sarah's shoes? She looked down at her pale pink feet that, due to their lack of tan, basically screamed she'd never spent a day in the sun working aboard a ship. She rather wished she could afford shoes or better yet tall black boots like Copper wore. They looked so good and they made Copper look even taller than she already was. What Sarah would have given to be that tall.

"I," Sarah began timidly, not sure what she could confide in this, seemingly nice, woman, "I'm looking for a Captain and a ship."

Copper looked her up and down, other then being a little on the scawney side and pale she did look like a pirate. She had her hair in the traditional braids for a pirate woman and beads, the eyes.
"Funny thing, so am I. But I happen to know several captains, some with several ships. However I'm looking for one and he's bound to turn up here soon. How about taking you on as an apprentice? Because frankly I doubt you could last a week as an deckhand. Plus you need shoes, don't you? I'm not a captain by the way, the hat is similar but not the same, I got a feather you see? Proper gunsmith, best on the seven seas. How about it? I'll get you wherever you need to go, and some shoes, as long as you don't breathe a word of my real name...and a wee bit of treasure if that's what you're seeking. Not much, just a single piece of gold if there is one. Otherwise no catch if you're just on the run." Copper said. She didn't usually drive nearly this soft of a bargin but she wanted the girl to trust her.

Momentarily stunned by a pistol shot and a body falling out of the second floor of a building behind Copper Sarah blinked her blue eyes in shock. It was almost unbelievable that such a nice woman would be in such an insane place.

This woman seemed really rather nice and she knew a captain, and if she knew some with several ships and was instead waiting for one he had to be an amazingly good captain. After all, this lovely and nice lady wouldn't be crewmember of a bad nasty pirate. She was willing to take her in and protect her and teach her how to be a shipmate for no other reason than sheer kindness.

Considering that Sarah had the key to unlimited wealth Sarah could see Copper sharing it. After all, when you were a nice person and had unlimited wealth you could give it out as much as you liked and never be the poorer for it!

"Oh my goodness," Sarah whispered, her entire body seemingly relaxing, "I've been running for so long. You're right. I don't know anything about pirating. My father was a lord, a landholder of repute with a great interest in history and mythology."

Peering about, Sarah spied a dark alley between two buildings some few feet distant. She gestured that Copper should follow and moved off towards it. It was a few feet wide, and possessed a number of barrels and crates filled with who knew what. She almost made to sit upon a large barrel and nearly had a heart attack when she realized it was open and she'd almost plunked herself down inside it.

"I have something they all want," she acquiesced, her voice dropping to a whisper, fishing inside her cotton blouse for the folded wad of paper she so treasured, "my father found this, the map to El Dorado."

In another hushed breath she added, "Infinite Wealth."

"There's been many a map to El Dorado but nye of them had been true. I trust you but we still have to get the Captain on board...but I think we can convince him. Hide that somewhere incredibly safe, until we get you shoes." Copper said quitely, pulling up her shoe and indicating a secret panal filled with a gold coin and a copper penny, her trademark.
"I got these shoes here and the craftsman still works her, come on love. He isn't far and you need to break them in before we get on the ship. Nothing worse then having to break shoes in on a ship." Copper said, smiling at the girl.
"By the way, not to be rude, but what is your name and how old are you?" Copper asked her.

Sarah gaped. The woman was humouring her, thinking it was some fool map that she'd purchased on some city street for a pence. She quickly tugged at Copper's sleeve and began to unfold the map, eager to prove that it was indeed real. Avoiding that open barrel she began to unfold and spread it out over one of the wooden crates.

"It's not fake. Others didn't have their father killed by King George because he'd figured it out and none of the rest of them knew the real secret to El Dorado," Sarah answered her, "See, the Spaniards and the Germans were looking in the wrong place because they didn't have the whole story. You see, nobody else realized that El Dorado is the city of gold because that's where the Philosopher's stone is!"

"I believe you love. I never took you for a dunce, but you do need to put that somewhere safe." Copper urged her, hearing voices coming nearer. Copper grabbed her blade just in case she had to deal with drunkards.
"Do you own a gun or blade?" She asked the girl quietly.
