The night sky was over cast, negating any illumination that would be cast by the heavenly bodies above. The alleyway was dark for most eyes, but Carmine's easily penetrated the gloom, even from his place of concealment among the shadows. This woman, a fine specimen had been all too easy to herd into the alley. The footsteps hadn't even been his, and yet she'd ran like a frightened child, into the darkness. Pale lips smirked at his own musings.
Easily, almost in a lazy manner, what looked like a man exposed himself from the shadow a good twenty feet from the woman. Carmine did not coat himself in finery as many of his kind did. Instead, he wore only a T-shirt, and the standard jeans that were so the style now days. His dark hair was cut short, and was accompanied by a pair sideburns that ran until the reached his jawline. His chin was lightly dusted in equally dark hair.
"Girl's shouldn't go walking alone at night," Carmine chastised her mockingly, casually taking a few steps in her direction. The vampire wasn't worried about her running away. She'd trapped herself in a dead end alley. "Especially not after they've been drinking." He continued to taunt the girl, as he approached ever closer.
