Hello everyone.
I will be presenting a serious of "what if"s from the series, The Legend of Korra. These situations will likely be before or during the first half of season one and will change events, creating some AU for the sake of development. The series lacked a lot of development in my opinion which is why I want to slow it down and do some tinkering. For most of these, I would like to double. I play pretty much anyone: Korra, Bolin, Mako, Asami, Lin, maybe Tenzin if the situation was good and the Lin I was playing against was good too. I also require that you post at least two paragraphs for each character which then adds up to at least four or so paragraphs minimum per post if you can double which does make things more fun and flexible. I tend to post three or four per character, but two is the absolute minimum I will accept. It's not a lot, so I'll be posting more than that usually. I don't want OCs hanging around unless they're a plot device (not a main character). I will also put the implied possible pairs at the end of the "what if" question, but if you have another idea, just run it by me. Some of these are slightly AU while others are very much so. Take your pick. If you want to include people like Tahno or Iroh, you'd have to play them since I can't get too much off of a canon in the short time they were on screen, but I could be persuaded to play Iroh if it came down to either I guess. If when doubling, you start to slack on one character, I will give one warning before I do the same to you, if you don't correct yourself, I'll stop roleplaying with you without warning.
I. What if Korra didn't connect with Aang (and got her fire/water/earth bending back) so soon after the fight with Amon. What if she went back to Republic City and had to leave the Pro Bending team? What if she and Asami bonded more and Mako still struggled with his feelings for both women, as he had never confessed his love to Korra in the end? (Implied possible romances: Asami/Korra or Bolin/Korra or Mako/Asami)
II. What if Korra had met Mako and Bolin when they were younger children, what if one family headed off to the other's hometown and they formed and early friendship prior to the start of the series? What if Bolin had promised Korra they would someday marry? What if Mako and Korra were good friends and when she came to Republic City years later, everyone's feelings were now jumbled? (Implied possible romances: Mako/Korra or Bolin/Korra)
III. What if Bolin had been the one to follow her and confess his feelings in the end to Korra? (implied romances: Bolin/Korra)
IV. What if Iroh asked Korra to come away with him and take a break from training? What if the two of them traveled the world together since Republic City was now safe? Would Mako finally be able to date Asami without distraction? Would Korra learn more about Avatar Aang's past? Would Bolin get over Korra or would he only love her more? Would something happen between Iroh and Korra? (Implied possible romances: Mako/Korra or Mako/Asami or Bolin/Asami or Bolin/Korra or Iroh/Asami or Iroh/Korra)
V. What if Bolin and Asami began to date and so Mako and Korra would begin to get jealous? Would it be a trick or something real? (Implied possible romances: Bolin/Asami or Bolin/Korra or Mako/Asami or Mako/Korra or Asami/Korra)
VI. What if Bolin was Lin's son. What if she had Bolin right after she broke up with Tenzin (Bolin wouldn't be Tenzin's son). What if she gave Bolin up for adoption and Mako's family took him in. What if during an attack on the job, Lin got injured and could never have children again, thus the only child had ever made and could ever make, had been sent away? What if she enlisted Tenzin to help her? (Implied possible romance: Bolin/Korra or Tenzin/Lin)
VII. What if Bolin learned metal bending when Korra headed off to focus on her training? What if Mako and Asami fixed their differences? What if there was a timeskip for everyone before the group was back together to face a new threat in Republic City? (Implied possible romances: Bolin/Korra or Mako/Asami)
VIII. What if Asami had stayed on her father's side as an Equalist, would she have still seen the light of justic? (Implied possible romance: Tenzin/Asami or Lin/Asami or Mako/Asami or Asami/Korra or Bolin/Korra)
IX. What if Korra was never able to bend air when Mako had been captured by Amon? What if he lost his bending? What if Korra would never forgive herself for it? What if Amon managed to get away? (Implied possible romance: Mako/Asami or Bolin/Korra or Tenzin/Korra)
X. What if Pema and the baby had been killed during the "prison break"? What if Tenzin reached out for Lin in his hour of need to help him keep everything from unravaling? (Implied possible romances: Tenzin/Lin or Tenzin/Korra)
XI. What if Lin began to date Tarlok, would Tenzin get jealus? (Implied possible romances: Tenzin/Lin)
XII. What if Mako was born the Avatar and Bolin was always shadowed by his brother? What if Mako was too busy to play pro bending so he and Korra spent a lot of time together? (Implied possible romances: Mako/Asami or Bolin/Korra)
XIII. What if Asami decided to join the military and work under Iroh? (Implied possible romances: Iroh/Asami or Mako/Asami or Bolin/Korra)
XIV. What if Mako had been the one to pass by Korra when she got in trouble for intruding in the arena? What if he didn't help her and kept on walking? What if Korra managed to see the battle before being kicked out? What if Korra ran into Mako in Republic City and recognized him as the guy who didn't lend her a hand when she was in trouble? What if they became enemies and Korra was recruited to bend with Tahno's team? (Implied possible romance: Mako/Asami, Tahno/Korra, Tahno/Asami, Bolin/Korra or Mako/Tahno)
XV. What if Asami and Korra were good friends growing up? What if Korra's parents died and she had to live with Asami in Republic City? What if she trained with Tenzin at an earlier age? What if she mastered the elements (or at least 3) and decided to travel the world and help people? What if upon her return, Amon was busy terrorizing the city and casuing the rebellion? What if she teamed up with Asami and Iroh to defend it? What if along the way, she met two enemies undercover, Mako and Bolin? (Implied possible romance: Asami/Korra, Iroh/Asami, Iroh/Korra, Bolin/Korra, Bolin/Asami, Mako/Korra, Mako/Asami or Tenzin/Asama)
XVI. What if Katara passed away and Tenzin went into a deep depression? What if Lin was there to pull him through? What if on Katara's deathbed, she asked Lin to make Tenzin happy? What if when Lin told Tenzin, he didn't believe her? (Implied possible romances: Tenzin/Lin, Pema/Lin, Tenzin/Korra or Korra/Bolin)
XVII. What if in order to get money, Mako was hired at Sato Industries and met Asami earlier? What if they began dating before Korra even showed up in Republic City? What if Bolin and Korra hit it off? What if Asami could bend? What if Asami joined the Fire Ferrets and Korra was just a fan in the crowd? What if Asami and Korra soon befriended one another? What if Asami injured herself and Korra stepped in to help the team out? What if Amon went after Korra's friends to teach her a lesson? (Implies possible romances: Bolin/Korra, Mako/Asami, Asami/Korra, Mako/Korra, Bolin/Asami, Amon/Asami or Tenzin/Asami)
XVIII. What if Asami joined the Fire Ferrets? What if she could bend water? What if Korra was recruited on another pro bending team? What if the two teams went head to head? What if Korra and the Fire Ferrets were rivals? (Implied possible romances: Mako/Korra, Mako/Asami, Bolin/Korra, Bolin/Asami, Tenzin/Korra, Tahno/Korra or Tahno/Asami)
