Homestuck: The fight for a New Universe [OOC][Reboot]

You walk into your room, the place you call a haven but also a hell, some strange prison that has surrounded you for at least some portion of your life. The first thing you do is log into your Pesterchum account where you check up on all of the people you call friend's statuses. Maybe you'll talk to one but maybe you're not in the mood. Your friends have been pestering you about this game that has been exclusively given out to you and the other 3, and you may be anxious to try it or maybe not. Irregardless it is your destiny to begin a struggle, a struggle like you have never experienced before.

This is the fight for a new Universe, Homestuck.

Alright friends we have made it to the OOC phase of the roleplay! Before we can get the wheels turning though we still need the character sheets posted here (whether I've seen them or not)

Name: Kyle Weeks

Age: 17

Pester Tag: strategicShutterbug [SS]

Color and Quirk: Pale blue [Kyle likes to frame his sentence with brackets.] [They remind him of pictures.]

Personality: Kyle is a friendly sort, if a bit formal even in casual situations. He fancies himself a gentleman at heart despite the fact he looks a little bit more like an art student or hippy. Given this gentlemanly aspect to his personality he is often quick to defend his friends, even if they could really handle it themselves. Kyle is rather perceptive, priding himself on his observational skills that aid him both in photography and is boxing. He is quick to pick up on little things, but tries to keep it to himself not wanting to seem creepy or accidentally disclose information he thinks he should about one friend to another.

Appearance: Kyle is a tall, somewhat skinny young man. Has short, very straight black hair and hazel eyes. He has a slight tan thanks to his love of photographing various landscapes keeping him outside, and her has a fairly toned body thanks to practicing boxing in his free time. A few freckles dot across his face. His hands are a bit calloused and scarred from practicing boxing from a young age. Tends to wear a sleeveless black shirt with a light blue with what looks like the outline of a shuttered camera lenses. Often wearing old, faded jeans so as to not get anything important dirt if he out getting a particularly messy position for a photograph.

Sex: Male

Strife Specubis: Primarily Fistkind, he has Camerakind but has yet to figure out how to use it without hurting his cameras, and those are really expensive.

Name: Nina Elwick

Age: 15

Pester Tag: TenebrousAlembic [TA]

Color and Quirk: She types in light green and tends. To put full stops in places where they oughtn't be; otherwise. Her grammar is. Excellent.

Personality: Nina is somewhat withdrawn, spending rather more time studying or on the computer than with anybody else. She considers herself an academic and, in fairness, she is certainly book smart; however, she lacks common sense somewhat and will often come up with a far more complex and difficult solution to a problem which could easily be solved by simple means. She is, first and foremost, a chemist and has all the paraphernalia that would imply. Well, all that one might feasibly attain at fifteen years of age, anyway. She tends to rely overmuch on sarcasm and a kind of self-deprecating humour as a defence mechanism to stop people getting too close, as she is uncomfortable with discussing her personal life even with quite close friends. She also writes fanfiction, though she'd never let anyone see it (And it's not much good, anyway.) Despite her attempts to hide it, she is desperately self-conscious.

Appearance: Nina is petite, even for her age, with light brown hair, tied up in a simple bun just to keep it out of the way. When it is untied – which is very rarely indeed – it stretches just a little past her shoulders. She is quite pale-skinned; after all, she doesn't get out much. Where would she go, living in the middle of nowhere? She dresses quite conservatively, usually favouring a simple white button down top and black skirt, with maybe an unobtrusive bracelet or necklace if she's feeling particularly flamboyant.

Sex: Female

Strife Specibus: Vialkind – Nina's primary weapon is largely the vials of miscellaneous stuff she's cooked up in her home laboratory; however, these have somewhat unpredictable effects - even Nina's usually not sure what they're going to do. From exploding to enlarging their target.

Excellent. I was wondering if we were going to get the 'canon' 50/50 split as male characters seem to predominate somewhat in, well, most roleplays I've been in, bot here and elsewhere.

Questions: Are these characters already best friends? Also, are they going to be, in any way, ectobiologically related? Finally, should we come up with a god tier for them as well? A land too, I suppose, but that can come later.

Name: Abby Clark

Age: 16

Color and Quirk: abby types in pale yellow and almost never capitalizes unless she gets VERY EXCITED AND STARTS SHOUTING!!!!!!

Personality: Abby would describe herself as a carefree and energetic girl who always looks on the bright side of life. She can almost always find a reason to smile, and she is always trying to cheer up her friends whenever they get down. She has a somewhat naïve view of the world and a goofy sense of humor. She loves to play sports, especially softball, and she's fairly good (but certainly no superstar). She also has a love for animals, all animals. Abby tries to be outgoing, but many times when she meets new people she ends up awkwardly tripping over her words and retreating into her shy little shell. She feels much more open when chatting online. Abby is a very soft-hearted person, who cares deeply for others and wears her heart on her sleeve. It is incredibly rare for her to get angry. More often than not, if people around her are fighting, Abby will serve as the peacemaker. She also tends to play the role of Team Mom, as she is constantly looking after her friends.

Appearance: Abby is of fairly average height, about 5'5", which is a bit on the shorter side for athletes. As a result of her sports, she's got an athletic build, and doesn't really have any sort of curves. She prefers to wear jeans or denim shorts with plain-colored t-shirts or baseball tees (you know, like these). She has pale blue eyes and lightly tanned skin, complete with very light freckles smattered across her cheeks. Her long blonde hair is often pulled up into a high ponytail. Abby might not be considered conventionally beautiful, but most people would certainly call her cute. She never wears makeup of any kind, and usually wears no jewelry.

Sex: Female

Strife Specubis: Abby uses Batkind. Like a softball or baseball bat, not like the animal.

He tends to rhyme when distressed, when he's put to the test.

Personality:

Quick passions mean that he's overemotional, by the way, and that includes happiness, rage, love, etc etc.

"Hey, I'll do what I have to to survive.
I'll do what I must to make it out alive."

Derek is a survivalist, in that survival is something he's had to struggle to accomplish, and that he's willing to do a lot to survive. He can be downright unscrupulous when his life is on the line, and has done some regrettable things.

"When you're in shadows is when hope burns bright,
and my friend it burns brighter than the brightest of lights,
So don't give in to fear let's work through this my friend,
cuz I'm keeping my hope till the bitterest end.

Derek tends to be a combination of pessimism and optimism. He thinks that everything will go wrong, but that if he pushes hard enough he can MAKE things go right. Determined, would be a good word to describe him. He's actually somewhat obsessed with coming out ahead, and sees life as a contest at times, to be 'won'.

"I got the sickest of sick beats as I'll show you,
don't deny it Luke you know it to be true,
because I grew up in a place that would make you cry,
so I developed my passions in a place where you'd die."

Derek loves to rap, and he loves to dance. He's good at both, though his dancing is usually the sort you'd see in a music video by a terrible modern rap artist. He can be very acrobatic while he dances as well.

"Man I know I have passions a little too strong,
and that I've let them run free for far too long.
But I'm no stoic and don't intend to be,
it ain't no sin to feel a bit strongly."

Derek is somewhat over emotional. He commits to things impulsively, gets angry very quickly, and is hit hard by tragedy. As a plus, this makes him incredibly easy to excite and make happy, and he's usually intensely loyal to his friends. As a negative, he could commit to the wrong friends, and he usually has a hard time admitting he's wrong when his first instincts are proven false.

"Life's too short to spend alone,
but with me you always have a home."

Derek tends to form bonds quickly. He'll call and acquaintence a friend, a friend a best friend, and a best friend a soulmate, and mean it. As a plus, this means he's friendly and charismatic, and he tends to try his best to do good things for those he cares about. As a negative, he commits too quickly to friendships that aren't healthy for him, which is a problem when you live in a rather crimefilled area and know plenty of people in gangs.

Derek's rebel streak is a little ridiculous. When he sees something that he should do, his first instinct is, "REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE YO." Considering his impulsiveness, this is bad.

"ACT NOW, PLAN LATER,
I'M ACTING LIKE A TERMINATOR."

Derek doesn't think ahead, but he's very good at improvising on the spot. If he were to actually try to be smart, he could likely impress others on an academic level. However, usually he just does something somewhat smart on the spot, seeming average at best and stupid more often.

"Whoops."

Derek has a habit of, whether through anger or by accident, breaking things. He actually managed to break his sylladex once, despite the fact that that is not a thing that happens. As a result, everything he uses is by definition broken, even if it's intact when he gets his hands on it.

Appearance: Derek is black with slanted almond eyes. His hair is curly and dark, and he wears it in short cornrows. His eyes are an odd orange color, despite his asian/african heritage. He tends to wear ragged clothing.
Sex: Male - Bisexual
Strife Specubis: He has a handlekind, 1/2 riflekind, streetsignkind, but he mostly uses the streetsignkind(which he got the first, and last time he ever went on a jog with a blank strife card)

Fine with me dude. Given Kyle's tendency to be perceptive, chances are he will have picked up on something being there ( though may not know exactly what it is or how strong the feelings are ) plus he'd likely A) doesn't know how to address it and B) as stated tries to keep what he thinks he knows about his friends inner thoughts to himself cause he doesn't want to seem like a creepy stalker lol
