We weren't expecting what happened. We wanted to save the world from demons not bring the whole world into Limbo. If Virgil knew he sure as hell didn't inform us. We awoke to a world torn in two. Demons were everywhere it was only natural to go out and fight. When we did people looked to us for protection. As the human race dwindled our numbers grew. Eventually it got to the point where the toughest will survive theory was tossed out. Maybe it was the toughest of us that made it but we were still falling here and there and it seemed like there was nothing we could do about it but keep fighting. We learned how to defend ourselves though. We studied the demons for their weaknesses and we took advantage of them. We had to because all they had to do was get a good hit on us and we were down.

Two months into it we realized that the demons were starting to act different. Without a leader they didn't work together like they had in the beginning. They were relatively easy to take out if you knew where they were before you ran into them. They tended to be in small groups that allowed us to take out half before they knew we were there. Then things changed. A team went out and they never came back. When another team was sent out the following day they found that they had been killed by greater demons. They looked just like every other demon except they had this glow to them. And their eyes, I'll never forget their eyes. There's no fear. I can't explain it to those who haven't seen a demon face to face. They're ignorant mother fuckers, they don't know fear until right before they die but these other ones. You could blast off their limbs and have a gun aimed at their face and they'd still smile. They knew you were going to die even if you killed them because once you put that last bullet through they call for help as they get dragged back to hell. Soon reinforcements would come and you'd have to face them without the element of surprise. Thing is, the difference between us and them besides they look ugly as fuck, when we die...we don't come back.

A week later we found that they were being led by some giant bird. Dante caught wind of it and followed it. Within a week it was dead and things calmed down again. Then I'm not shitting you, we were receiving reports of the red glow around demons again just three days after Dante killed the bird. This thing we called Ignus, is a giant fucker. He has hell fire spewing out of him. Dante is after him now and has done a good job of chasing him away from HQ but we wonder when it will end. We can't keep losing teams like we are.

Okay guys so we will be picking up here. The Order is the primary organization amongst humans. We will be in the New York Sector. It is large enough to keep things interesting in my opinion. Now remember the world is in Limbo so everything isn't exactly how it is now in RL. We are a small team functioning as a scouting party for the U.S. Capital of the Order. We will become more important as we get into the IC, don't worry I'll keep things interesting.

Some more you need to know about the RP... I found this Pad website a friend showed me is really good when working in groups as a team based rp like this will be based around. So I'll provide the link below. In order for that to work we need to find a time we can all work together if not splitting into two groups will happen more often so that we can carry on. Now from what I've seen team rps don't allow you much room to do a lot of work so I will split this into two phases. One phase is at the HQ where you can free roam and write about anything you want that happens there. The second part is when go out during the day to search for demons and other things of interest. If anyone has questions and or suggestions please let me know below. I look forward to working with you

Further info: The Order in this rp will be advanced as far as weaponry goes. They were forced to get better and better. Examples of such are heavy armor that has hydraulics in the legs to allow you to jump from roof top to roof top, rail pistols (a mix of magnum power with traditional pistols clip size), and more.

Extra equipment: Long tube like quiver for holding scrolls/templates, bottom compartment holds ingredients for wiccan spells and enchantments


Optional Bio: Elliot has been in the Order since Virgil created it, being one of the first to join but never moving up in the ranks, he liked working out in the field. He soon found interest in Wiccan arts, an old ancient art used by witches to defend against evil spirits and better their lives or others, it was thought to never exist, but there have always been those who use them and believe in the power. The Order found that Wiccan arts are a great defense against Demons, and have started teaching those who have the potential. Elliot was one of them, he learned quickly thanks to already being a Medium, able to see into Limbo but since the real world and Limbo clashed, there wasn't much use but to see what was hidden. He sought out his own knowledge of the wiccan, finding old scrolls abandoned, or just stealing them from museums, and using them to further his knowledge greater than what the Order could teach him. He still fights on with the rest of his squad and does his best to show that Mediums don't just 'see' they can do much more.

Name: Akira Toroki

Appearance:


Primary skill: Medic

Secondary Skill: (comes later in the rp)

Primary weapon: Akari never had any gun training. In fights he takes out a robot scorpion which he controls (maybe the size of a mini fridge). The tail of the robot acts like a supercharged tazer, shocking whatever it pierces. The scorpion can camouflage itself to near invisibility. Its claws are incredibly sharp and can rip through iron and pierce steel. It can eject a smoke grenade from its mouth (needs refilling after use), and can clamp onto something and self destruct. If self destructed Akira needs to build a new one which can take a few days. Its name is Paladin. It's legs can also allow it to walk on
Walls and ceilings (or demons)


Side arm: A small pistol that can be set to fire normal bullets or shoot waves of ear piercing sound.

Melee Weapon: a steel staff that can detach into two. The edges from the inside of the staff are bladed for piercing and can send bursts of electricity through what it cuts.

Extra equipment: Akari is a trained medic and carries around a medipack, along with a repair kit for his robot. His medipack contains pain pills, gauze, large bandages, disinfectant, a needle and thread, and a few syringes containing adrenalin (Fast acting, gives a temporary boost to energy but may cause a crash in energy after the effects wear out. Can last 45 min - an hour.

Optional Bio: When the world first entered Limbo Akira was terrified. He was never a fighter, and didn't believe in violence. He was 24 and worked as a computer engineer. Even after seeing the destruction caused by the demons he still didn't learn to fight. He finally changed his mind when he saw his older brother be devoured by a few stygians. He ran away, and when he finally felt he was safe the first thing he did was pick up a gun and join the order, determined to fight against the demons. Unfortunately he was never very talented with fire arms and soon gave up on assault rifles, favoring a small handgun that once belonged to his brother. He realized that it wouldn't be enough to stop the monstrosities, and so he developed Paladin, his robot scorpion. He also began to learn first aid, applying bandages, disinfecting and sewing wounds, etc as he knew he wouldn't be the most useful in a fight. He now continues to fight in hopes that one day, they can bring the world out of Limbo and go back to ordinary life.

Extra equipment: Other than ammo for his firearms, a lighter and cigarettes, Lucas doesn't carry much in the way of other equipment.

Optional Bio: Lucas was a cop born and raised, both his parents members of the local force. His father, being a sergeant in the force and his mother a secretary, he spent almost as much time in police stations as repeat petty criminals, although for different reasons all together. Mostly to meet up with one of his parents, or both, after school to cover what homework or issues he had during the day. He went into the police force straight out of high school, being trained in the police academy and selected by SWAT for breaching duty after completing the required training. He was on leave from the police force when the world that he knew merged with Limbo, and hell literally broke loose. While he had been following the news on Dante, the Order, and the various things going increasingly wrong, a gut instinct told him that there was some serious falsehoods going on behind the scenes shortly before, and after, the merge with Limbo. He retired from the police force and SWAT, much to several people's surprise, and went to sign on with the Order. He had seen how little the police were able to do against the daemons, and decided to go with an alternative that could give him a fighting chance of dealing with the threat being posed to the varied humans in the city.

VTempest-I like creativity but I see where relying on a scorpion could be an issue. However he sounds more like a support kinda guy and based on the bio provided his equipment makes sense with the character. So my only issue is that the melee weapon NOT be a screwdriver. I get the joke just let's be somewhat serious with the rp. These guys would have been through shit to get to where they are and if he was only armed with a screw driver at any point I think he would have been eaten.
