I'm going to wiggle this, just out of boredom and ask some questions. Cause I would like to get to know my fellow fighters.

How many arena fights have you been in out of curiosity? If any, favorite fighter used? One of the best battles you been in and what (species, environment, favorite aspects, etc.) was involved?

On this site this is my first. But as a role player I have been in multiple arena matches. I use a oc character every time. The best one by far has been the arena match that inspired me to start this one. It was a story with four people two Jedi masters and two Sith lords. Best role play I have ever been in though one of the Sith lords was a tad godlike for my taste. At the time I was only into rpin for around one maybe two years so I was still learning and still learn even now. Of course that was near eight years ago. Long time.

Do you only play in the Starwars universe or have you tried others? Have you ever played in an original setting before? Do you reuse characters or just traits of them, or adapt remade ones to a new setting?

I tried to do a arena match but my partner never replied and I think they lost interest. This is my first 2 on 2 though, so this should be interesting and hope to give you a challenge.

I can't use cannon, drives me nuts and I can't get into the character's mind well since I'm always doubting if I'm being true to the character. At least with an OC one, I know am since I created her/him. I remember you mentioning that, and a site that was no longer up but that's terrible that one was tad too godlike. I don't see the point in rping a character that can't take a hit, what's the appeal really? If that was the case, you might as well just walk away from the fight at least that's the way I feel and besides, taking a hit isn't the end of the world just lesson to watch yourself.

No I play many different universes. I have played in the Naruto universe, Bleach, Sengoku Era, Three Kingdoms Era, and some more modern era role plays.

I reuse the name, not the character. Each character has a different personality, strengths, weaknesses, and history.

If you want I would do a One on One arena match with you if you would like. I always enjoy a nice fight. I have high expectations that this will indeed be a great challenge.

Agreed, canons make me angry for the same reasons. I feel contained when trying to role play in a specific character template. I feel like I can't advance the character without straying from the canon piece of it.

I don't know, some I guess would prefer to feel like they own the role play and can do what they want. This particular person started bring in advanced sith alchemy and sith force powers that always seemed impossible to block or do anything with so it was kind of one sided. Though the other guy was far more advanced than I was at the time and he was a fantastic challenge and was very interesting to rp with.

For me, it depends on the character. I have named Racheli that I've revamped twice and used in different settigns, the same with Iron my Native American and Anjiru who's well...lets say odd red head that can't feel pain shall we? The Reason I did this was cause I liked the character core.

I try to keep one arena thread at a time so I don't get confused and post one character in another thread. So after this fight, I will be sure to take you up on that offer alright? It's guarantee though we might want to tone down the Tier level to maybe 3-4? I think this would considered 5-6, maybe 7 in level. >_> I need to relook over the levels to make sure lol.

I won't say I'm angry, just don't have fun with them but yeah, I agree especially with that last part.

    Ok lemme rephrase.

I reuse character sparingly only when I like the combination of personality, powers, strengths, and history.

I don't know anything about the tiers on this place. When I rp I don't rate the strength or power of my characters and give them a tier number. I put into perspective the number of people inside the story and the level of the fight that I want to write about.

So I normally do it like this: Realistic story line battles would be my tier one

Fantasy would be my tier two

and so on so forth. Based off of the strengths, weaknesses and powers involved in the story. With each higher tier is a more power based story. I have no idea how they do it here I didn't read up on it. But that is why I don't give tier my characters or stories. I find it pointless. To me all that matters is that I role play either high casual or advanced. If you can't keep up I won't bring myself down to your level, I will however bring my character down to your level.

I doubt that made any sense at all but that's how I do it.

Ok I rushed that sentence. Not angry I get frustrated. I feel stuck in the limits of the character that I am trying to duplicate.

Lol, that might have been misunderstanding on my part as well.

It does in a way, in other words your post length won't change because someone else prefers to post shorter but the character power level you are willing to change just make the fight interesting. That's the way I'm understanding what you said. I like posts more for their quality then quantity so some times my posts are short, simply cause I try to focus more on the actions but I admit the character can get away from me. XD

Most people on the site from I've seen, go by these. Tiers There's also a dual system too, which why I try to base my character around these since the experience fighters are pretty familiar with it. I figure it would help finding a partner as give me a guideline of how powerful the fight is, I would hate to go too strongly in a dodge or a make an escape that pushes beyond what my character is able to do. For example, your character as a Jedi master- realistically in the StarWars universe- easily kill Jayda after a few rounds since she is a lower level. So I have to keep in mind what you can do is different from what I can do, I find the tiers and dual system help in that area for me personally. Granted the descriptions are not the greatest but at least it's something.

    That's a little better wording.

I happened to peek on Darkbane's profile, to let him know it was his turn, and realized he hasn't been on in 2 weeks... >_> I'm a little worried.

I just use realistic logic. If your young, weaker, and less intelligent then your opponent you lose. Lol
But really each character has his or her weaknesses, dueling is just a matter of taking advantage of those weaknesses in and out of character.

That's okay I'll take you both on. Lol

That's would be a quick lose.

Edit and add on: That's understandable. I won't quite use the word intelligent, more lack of experience in this case. Jayda's green but not that green, she knows combat thanks to the research I've done on her species, adding the planet's school into her background, and the length of history between the two characters that we had intended. Even a lower class of enemy can win against a higher, it's just a lot harder and involves more brain power on both parts. >,<

I'm more into a fair fight, lol. I can't say for Lyzan though, I think he's been in a 3 v.s. 1 with him being the 1 or don't mind the odds against him. We could wait a few more days then find a replacement, allowing them to slip into where the last person left off maybe? It only breaks the continuity for a bit, with us being this early in the game, it shouldn't hurt but still allow the fight to happen but that's up to you. I know Lyzan's in it for the long run (he told me this as long as the pace was weekly) as am I. Though if it came down to that, Jayda would more then likely-a higher chance- fighting against Nazyl and Hue Ran then with her master due to her history hahhaa. So it would likely turn into a 3 way match with Jayda being the low woman on totem pole.
