Her eyes changed back and a tear rolled down her cheek before she passed out.

"Take her to the medical bay," ordered Patrick. "Make sure she is not bound or restrained in any way, and no IV's or drugs. Just put her in a bed and leave her there. Vital scans only."
"Understood, sir," said one of the men as they carried her off.

As they were scanning her river woke up. Her eyes were still yellow. She jumped up and began attacking the medical staff. She took a tray of medical supplies and swung it against the doctors head. the syringes on it went flying and blood spurted from a wound in the doctors head. She then thew it at his knee caps hearing the sound of breaking bone.

Patrick was sitting talking to Dela when his comlink chirped. "Major Rudder," said Patrick into his comlink.
"Sir, the patient you brought aboard is attacking the medical staff," said the soldier on the other end.
Patrick leapt up and, motioning for Dela to follow, said, "Come on, we've gotta get down there." The two of them raced through the corridors of the ship to the medical bay, where they found River, still in her room, but with several doctors and nurses lying around her, unconscious. River seemed to be in a bloodlustful rage, and Patrick shouted, "River! River, you have to stop this! These people were trying to help you! Don't you see? There are people who will care for you and treat you and help you to a better life! Please, River, let them help you. It will take a long time, but you can do it. You have to."

Rivers eyes changed back to normal before looking at him with tears in her eyes. She slumped down to the floor. "It isn't mine. The memory, it isn't mine. And I shouldn't have to carry it. It isn't mine. Don't make me sleep again." She cried. A doctor looked at Patrick before kneeling down ext to her. "I won't. I won't." There was a look of tenderness on the mans face. She could feel it. "Put a bullet to me. Bullet in the brain pan. Squish." She giggled closing her eyes as tears leaked out. The doctor held her hand. "Don't say that! Not ever. We'll get you through this." She looked at him. straight through him to Patrick. "Things are going to get much, much worse."
She let the doctors clean her off and soon she feel asleep. The Doctor went up to Patrick. "If you dont mind id like to handle her case personally?"

Patrick nodded. "Whatever needs to be done for her," he said. "Just make sure everything is transparent, and try to find any family she might have: grandparents, cousins, anything. Do that, alright?"

The doctor nodded. "Before she started attacking she said something. I think it was Solik. It was almost like the word itself triggered her." He said. "I dont know if that's important to you or not." He went back to rivers bed.

Patrick thought about the word, but it meant nothing to him; it was not something he had ever heard before. "Take care of her," he said with a nod. Looking over at River, Patrick said, "Things are getting better. Trust these men and women and find yourself. Goodbye." At peace that she was finally getting the help she needed, Patrick turned and, with Dela, walked out of the medical bay.
((The end.))
