The Undercover Journalist(Jones Sparrow and WhiteLily)

Jones Sparrow watched as the ship slowly moved towards the large buildings coming out of the water. He never would have guess he would be here, especially doing what he was supposed to do. He wore a black sports jacket, a grey t shirt underneath, some comfortable jeans, and some comfortable yet official shoes. His eyes were energetic, looking at his new story. He wasn't here to sight see. He was here to uncover the largest crime kingdom in Italy. And to do so, he will have to join them. He had to gain the trust and become a trusted personal body guard for the Dimonte family... Which won't be easy.

The captain of the small ship walked up next to Jones, giving a smile "Welcome, Mister Bardo, to Venice." He said in Italian. He gave the man his fake name... He could t risk getting caught. Capture meant death. "It's beautiful." He said in fluent Italian, giving a smile. "Just wait until you get closer! It is what the Americans say.. A sight for sore eyes." He replies, giving him a pat on the back.

    ---

Jones Sparrow walked off the boat and onto a dock. It was crowded with people going about their business. He blended in. He carried a backpack, and one suitcase. He was met by a man, Italian police... A detective, to be percise. He took his passport, and examined it. "Mr. Bardo... Returning from visiting a sick sister from the United States?" He asked. Jones nodded. The man nodded then shook his hand. "Follow me, Mister Sparrow." He said.

It had been a long night for Clara, her father had insisted she go and help at the local hospital, it was his way of saying people were coming over that she wouldn't like. Clara sighed and flopped down on her plush bed ready to fall into sleep when a door downstairs banged open, "Clara! Vieni subito qui!" Antonio, Clara's cousin demanded from down below. He was a loud, impatient young man who liked to order his cousin around, "Clara! Come here now!" He shouted again, "Arrivo! Sii paziente!" Clara called back, "Coming, be patient!" She pushed herself out of the bed and hurried to the banister overlooking the foyer where Antonio stood with his fists on his hips, "Dove sei stato? Tuo padre ha cercato per voi! Where were you? Your father has been looking for you!" Clara rolled her eyes and leaned on the bannister, "He sent me to volunteer at the hospital, I just got back." Antonio shook his head and took out his cell phone, he began texting quickly, "Your father was very worried when you didn't come back. Talks didn't go as planned and now you need protection from the Espinosas." Clara stood up straight, "Why? What did you do?" Antonio just waved his hand at her, dismissing her. Clara wandered back to her room and flopped back onto her bed, but now unable to fall asleep.

"You are crazy, Mister Sparrow. Not even our police force would do a stunt like this." The Detective said. They were being rowed down the streets of water. "Maybe that's the reason why they are still out and lose..." He said, looking at the ancient buildings. The detective ignored his remark. "They are expecting you for an... Interview... I hope you realize that once we part ways, the Italian police will not help you. You're actions can get you arrested."

"I understand, sir..." Jones said with a nod. The detective nodded, and talked about what will happen, and how he should act. They stopped at a building, a large villa. "This is where we will leave... Good luck, Mr Bardo. I hope we don't meet again." And with that, he was off. He looked at the large building, took in a deep breath, and walked confidently towards the building.

"You look nice," Piedro Diamonte looked at his daughter who stood before him in a gauzy white sundress, her dark hair lightly curled and pinned back from her face. She looked just like her mother when she was young, before she had gotten ill. Now with the Espinosas threatening her life because of her idiotic cousin! He had made the decision to get her a bodyguard, someone not connected with his family or any family in the area. He couldn't have anyone harming his Clara. She smiled at her father, "Papa, I really don't think I need a babysitter," She insisted in Italian, Piedro shook his head, "My darling, you are my jewel, the thought of you being hurt kills me inside. Just meet this man, and see what you think." Clara bowed her head in consent and Piedro waved his hand for the guest to be let in when he arrived.

The door opened to reveal two large men. They walked up to him and checked his body for any concealed weapons. Once they made sure he was clean, they went back to the door. "Follow us. Do not speak unless youre spoken to." One said. He follwed them into a large room inside was the man he could only assume as the infamous Pierdo Diamonte. He looked like the definition of power. A nice suit, a clean face, yet he looked like he could see throigh your soul. At his side was a young woman. A true Italian beauty. He read about her helping Venice, probably an idea to make it look like her family really wasnt bad...

He stood in front of the two, standing as the Diamonte stared him down. A visual inspection.

Clara's mind raced as she took in the man who was to follow her around. He was very clearly American, Why is he in Venice? She wondered to herself. Papa was the first to move, as usual. He walked up to the man and held out his hand, "Piedro Diamonte," He said, portraying an aura of power. Clara knew he was putting up a front, Papa wasn't all bad... Papa spoke again, "You are?"

"Jones Brado." He replied, taking the man's hand and shaking it firmly. He went over the fake story he made during his flight over here. He was ready for any question he gave him. He definately will. After all, he was going to be their guard for a few weeks. He could see the nasty look the daughter was trying to hide. He didnt blame her, but she was going to have to deal with it..

"What makes you think you're qualified to protect my daughter?" Piedro asked and turned from Jones. Clara took a relaxed stance, also eager to hear what this man had to say. If he thought he was anywhere near able to follow her, he was in for a nasty surprise. Piedro took a seat in a plush armchair, motioning for Clara to stand next to him, "This is Clara, in case you didn't know. She is who you'll be watching."

"I was in the United States Army for a few years. My mother was full bred Italian, my father was American. At my birth they thought it safer for my father to take me to the States. When my father passed, i resigned, and moved to try and keep my ill fading mother alive by getting money from this job." He said easily. He gave a nod, extending his hand. When she didnt take it, he awkwardly put his hand down.

When he extended her hand she glanced down at his hand coldly, not offering her's. Piedro looked at his daughter with amusement then coughed, bringing the attention back to himself. "So you are familiar with sidearms, and possibly having to fire it? At someone?" He asked pointedly, Clara tried not to look annoyed at the whole exchange. She just wanted to go back to sleep after her shift last night.
