Jones raised an eyebrow. " a meeting? With whom?" He asked a bit too eagerly. He toned it down. "Are you sure? Your other bodyguards might not have the certain skills i habe..." he said somewhat jokingly.
She shook her head but made to stand anyway, "He doesn't mind as long as I have you. But we should go anyway, there is a meeting tonight that I have to attend, you'll be off before then though, once we get to the house."

Jones raised an eyebrow. " a meeting? With whom?" He asked a bit too eagerly. He toned it down. "Are you sure? Your other bodyguards might not have the certain skills i habe..." he said somewhat jokingly.
"Why does it matter?" Clara shrugged, she knew everyone was interested in what her father actually did, but tonight was just for the family, "The guards will be Papa and Antonio's guards... But if you want to stick around I'm sure they won't object to more security."

"It's fine, Ms-- Er, Clara..." He said calmly. "I'm guessing you have enough of my face today. I'll escort you home and be on my way to bed." He gave her a smile. He didn't want to seem too interested in her father.
Bobbing in her head in agreement Clara hugged her friends as they made their way out of the restaurant, "So what have you thought of my Venice? Anything else you want to see tomorrow?"

Jones shrugged. "Many things. Historical landmarks, DaVinci's house, some museums, the list goes on... but then again, im not being hired by your father so you can give me the tour of Venice." He shrugged... maybe off the clock he could get a tour... no. He cant. He wasnt here for that.
Clara shrugged, "There isn't much else to do with me, I'm boring." She put her hands in her shorts pockets and looked up at the dimming sky, the gentle sound of a guitar floated through the air around them. It was such a beautiful romantic setting, perhaps Jones would like... Clara internally shook herself, no, he is her bodyguard, that is far from appropriate. She glanced over at him, suddenly remembering an event for the next day, "Tomorrow night is a benefit ball for the hospital; it is a publicity event..." She said with a sigh, her voice hard, "I have to be there."

Jones laughed "you? Boring? You showed me you're full of surprises today..." He said with a small smile. He looked at her, but then looked away. When she mentioned the ball, he thought about it. "You don't sound so happy about it."
"Publicity stunts," She spat out, "It's all to save face, I suspect you know the Diamonte business then?"

"I have heard stories... and that he pays well and loves you very much..." i can see why, henthought to himself, but yet again scorned himself. "What would happen if you refused?" He asked curiously.
