"I don't understand, Amore... I thought it would only be a couple of weeks at most..." He said sadly, wanting to talk to her alone, quietly... possibly in a bed. He looked around real quick to make sure Piedro or his men weren't watching.
"The only man perfect for me is a certain American hiding behind a mask," Clara smiled then sighed as she looked up into Jones' eyes, "I wish I could see your face. I have memories of it, but they are nothing compared to the real thing."

"The doctors say they can't find anything wrong, my eyes just don't work." Clara's head dropped down, "I've accepted that I may be blind for the rest of my life."

Jones lifted up her chin. "Maybe they just need some motivation to get them going again." He said hopefully, again feeling guilty for this.
"What kind of motivation?" Clara asked, confused by his words.

"Maybe... new sights, sounds, interactions, people...Just new things to interest your eyes?" He said, it making sense in his head, but then again he was no doctor.
A smile crept over Clara's face, "You mean go somewhere new?"

Jones shrugged. "Yes... But only if you want to..." He said, smiling a bit.
"I would go anywhere with you, Jones." Clara said, so wanting to kiss him now. She wanted to throw her arms around him and hold him close, never letting go. "I have to ask though, if you've been in Venice this entire time, what have you been doing?"

"I've... Been letting myself go, unfortunately..." He said quietly, not going into details. "But now I speak Italian fluently... You're still the best motivation I've ever had." He said, running his hands onto her back discretely.
