High fantasy, High Free RP

Is anyone interested? I was hoping to include Eastern features (Tengus, kitsune, Onis) rather than orcs, ogres and elves. Dragons would be included and would play quite a major role.

I haven't thought too much about the setting but would like to base it around several islands.

An Empire would control all trade, military and politics. Perhaps they are unjust or corrupt? Maybe just the Emperor? Anyway those are thing to decide on later.

Would I be able to play a dragon or are those off limits? If I played one of the other characters you pointed out the oni, tengus or kitsune would they have a 'human' or main race form. I am not all together fond of playing animal characters. Humanoid animal characters I am all for.

The oni would be something I would be eager to play. I like demon and orcish sort of characters. hehe

For example if you have seen Gamers: Dorkness Rising...I feel that that is the kind of world you are wanting to suggest.

Would monks in this world would be buzz cut and in a monastery
Would knight's be more for a crown than a god...
Would there only be humans and creatures..
Would dragons not talk or have human characteristics

I haven't seen it but it sounds like my kind of film (a world of exploding peasants, giant house cats, and undead roast turkeys) I approve.
Monks could be buzz-cut/monastery is that's what you'd like, but we could work something else out.
Knights would be for their local lord but whether that lord was loyal to the emperor would probably be up to you.
Could you elaborate on this question more?

Kitsune are shapeshifters able to change between their human and animal forms easily, I will give you more details if you want. An Oni would probably be playable if you could justify why the rest of the party didn't kill him on sight. Most Yokai would playable if they were justifiable.

The Creatures and human thing was about how you were talking about not having orcs, ogres, and elves.

I would love to make a noble or royal if you would allow that when we get the story going.
