The human-like aliens are one of the things that I am pretty lenient about.
I have an idea now... they're going to be nothing like humans, but somewhat similar to viskevans. I'm going to go with the far away route, they won't be hiding their existence or anything.

It'll take me a while to write some lore, I like to go all out when designing a species, but I'll have something by tonight.

Holey and Jannge will know who this is. The rest of you, I'd like you to meet Captain Sukhoia.

    Name: Captain Lydia Sukhoia

Gender: Female. Don't get it confused, you will be in a world of pain faster than you can say 'I'm sorry'.

Age: 21 GSY / 19 GSY (due to Eldar heritage)

    Race: 1/2 Kislevite, 1/2 Eldar

    Appearance:

Crew position: Security Personnel / Stealth Systems

    Skills:
Lydia excels with ranged weaponry - her standard armament is a Kislevite AKR-74 plasma rifle, with a PM plasma pistol and a monomolecular vibroblade for close defence. Lydia is also skilled at making people talk, be it through violent or non-violent action. Lydia's favourite armament when she doesn't have her plasma rifle is her Heavy Plasma Rifle Mark IIIE; basically a rapid-firing more powerful version of the AKR-74 developed by IZHMASH on Kislev IV. Lydia is also a very good interrogator - be it violently or non-violently. She has her own personal Excruciator, which is a device that applies energy to the pain receptors in a victim's skin - she describes it as "being dropped into a vat of hydrofluoric acid". She has gone through the rigours of Kislevite Space Marine initiation, and thus has been outfitted with several high-tech implants and upgrades to her physical form.

    Merits:
    - Loyal to her commander, and devoted to her comrades. Lydia, if necessary, will die for her comrades-in-arms, but she hopes it'll never get to that. The reason for this is because Lydia is officially KIA anyway, at least according to Kislevite military records. It's the old 'recording commandos as KIA' trick.
    - Skilled at ranged combat with her plasma rifle
    - Skilled at melee combat with her sword and pistol
    - Expert Interrogator
    - Skilled at unarmed fighting

    Flaws:
    - Somewhat suspicious of new comrades of hers (this will include the crew)
    - Violent nature when angered or in a bad mood
    - Doesn't play nicely with others... That's all I'll say for that.

History: CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. Until I find her old background.

I threw this together relatively quickly, at least compared to my viskevans, which I've spend a lot of time thinking up. I'll add to this as time goes on.

Probably, although it might be a little confused why she chose a fully-organic form.

Also, if you're working for the Syndicate currently, you wouldn't be able to start out on Vegalia, unless you were "Rescued" or something by Surian scientists.
Hm... as it stands there seem to be quite a few things wrong :/
To avoid further confusion with the fundamental laws of your world, would you have any suggestions as to reconcile Jabber Jaw and your setting?

Well, I included an idea in there at the end... it's possible that the Syndicate had abducted him, since they don't give a crap about interstellar laws, and he's either been rescued or will be rescued at some point in the story.

So, none of these people have had any contact with Earth? There's an awful lot of references to Terran culture: English names, vodka, ect. It's just a little odd.

    Name: Sarin R'aeth

    Gender:Male

    Race: Child of the Void

Race Description: The Children of The Void are an elusive humanoid nomadic race that tends to shy away from the affairs of large empires. The most notable features of the slim CoV is their eyes that have crescent shaped pupils, the fact that their legs are vaguely dog like due to the fact that instead of a normal ankle they have a hock and walk on the balls of their feet, finally they have a tendency to hunch at the shoulders and their spine is more pronounced than most races. They normally breath an atmosphere of 85% Nitrogen but are able to breath in one that has less (down two 69% in a worst case) although this causes them some discomfort

    Age: 26 GSY

Appearance: Standing at a height of 6'5'' Sairn is a standard height, his eyes are the normal two tone white and black. He wears a black and red combat armor and a breathing mask. Where his left arm was he instead has a bare metal bionic replacement

    Crew Position: Cyber Warfare

Skills: Hacking, electronic maintenance, programming, zero-g combat, close quarters

Marits: Has lived on ships his entire life, doesn't get angry very easily, puts the survival of the whole above the survival of the individual (also a flaw)

Flaws: Secretive, curious to a fault, puts the survival of the whole above the survival of the individual, atmosphere requirements (slight fault)

History: One of the very few to leave the fleet to explore further Sarin is a bit of an oddity among other Void Children. Sarin was born in the first fleet where he grew up, from a young age he was trained to fight, fix problems, and use electronics (the latter of which he excelled at). He lost his arm at the age of 19 GSY when he was in a repair accident aboard one of the older ships in the fleet when a bulkhead activated prematurely and closed, severing it in the process. After receiving his custom arm and armor he simply took his leave of his kind to explore the galaxy at large.
