Drake hasn't actually talked to the Vel verbally, they've more or less been looking at each other and communicating through wireless cell phones of a sort. So you might want to edit your post to indicate that they're not actually talking, but looking at each other as if communicating somehow.

Easiest way, your last assignment failed, perhaps the ship was boarded and seized by Syndicate or Zikaren forces, and you found yourself on Vegalia station. Looking for work, you found Drake's offer on the hypernet, sort of like everyone else did, and came to say hi.

History: Jaimie's ship was caught in the middle of a battle of zikaren forces during the civil war. With little time to react the crew jumped on escape pods to try to escape. While his Escape pod was skimmed with a big chunk of his ship as the escape pod left, it redirected the pod to the Syrian outpost. It is known little about his past beyond this point as he will not talk about it very often. However, when he does talk about it, there is usually stories of battle and glory, and honor, along with giant robots of pure destruction.

We need some method of easily communicating than over an OOC thread with 6-7 people.

Who has Skype out of you guys? I know Holey, Jannge, Uruk and Pain do, but who else? OOC over Skype is much simpler than OOC on a forum, because although the conversation still goes a million miles an hour, you can keep up with it!

I could connect to the skype. I wouldnt be able to talk but it would be so helpful for continuity. Great idea!
