I've had some. It's just rice wine, isn't it? I drink plenty of wine around the holidays, never any ill affects. I just don't get hangovers, heh.

By the way, I think Michi should join the landing party every so often. Gives you stuff to do besides sitting in your sick bay. Same for Sxle.

Actually it's not a wine, since it is brewed and not fermented, but it is made from rice and genuine Nihonshu is about 24% pure alcohol. It's hard to find but well worth it's weight in yen. It usually get diluted with water before it gets shipped anywhere so you would have to take a trip across the pacific to get the real deal.
Also, just remember that Michi is a doctor and not a medic so she isn't trained for combat although she knows the basics like how to disengage the safety, which end to point at the enemy, etc.

Hm, sounds pretty good. Not quite as strong as Soju, but better than beer. I've never been to Japan though... would like to go sometime.

Technically, the landing expedition isn't a boarding party, so need support personnel as well as combat people. So yeah... works out fine.

Goat, apologies if I got the Cadre thing wrong but I'm working off bits and pieces. I literally scoured the IC for the correct spelling of everything as it is

Need some info on the Kolan people. Clothes, racial archetypes and such to formulate disguises.

Yes, I had intended to give information on the Kolonian society. So I might as well write up what I have so far... might add to it as I figure more out.

Kolan III, known as "Rote" to its inhabitant, a word that basically means "dirt," sort of how the word Earth means "dirt", is a high medieval society with many sentient races. It is suspected that the planet was seeded by Promethean researches as an experiment to see how different species interact with each other and construct interdependent societies. Interestingly, Kolan III seems similar to a world from a fantasy medieval story, minus magic. Rather than magic, the Kolonians have developed alchemy... basically a primitive form of chemistry, but still limited to the laws of chemistry, to perform "miracles" not understood by the rest of society. This is because Kolonian alchemy is in fact tech level 6, being a bit more advanced the society's normal technology level.

There are several dominant sentient species, and many lesser species, as well as "monster" species that are despised by the dominant species.

    Kolonian races

    Major races

Humes - Humes are one of the most dominant races on Kolan III, existing on virtually every continent in the world. Humes have built large empires and seen great societal progress. Their lifespan is approximately sixty galactic standard years, provided they receive the most advanced medical treatment available at Kolonian tech level. They are a type A humanoid, virtually identical in appearance to Achenarans, Surians, Lyrans, Kislevites, and Humans.

Alfs - Alfs are a more reclusive society, due to their unique biochemestry. Pointy eared humanoids with a long life expectancy, they also have a very low birth rate, so their society has evolved to stay uninvolved in most conflicts, making villages and societies in the forests and other regions apart from Hume society. They are considered beautiful by Humes, and their life expectency is approximately 300 galactic standard years. A type B humanoid, they are very similar to Eldar.

Dvergar - Short and broad, Dvergar are surprisingly strong, with a low center of gravity. Though they have a long life expectancy as well, rather than having a low birth rate, Dorfs have a low female population. Being primarily masculine, Dvergar society is much more involved in war and conflict, particularly against Troks and Orols.

    Minor races

Svartalfs - A dark-skinned variant of the Alfs, the Svartalfs are a more aggressive species prone to soldiering. With slightly higher birth rates, Svartalfs make up for this by being more warlike in nature, taking on jobs as mercenaries and adventures more readily, despite their lower population in comparison to the Alfs.

Felpools - A humanoid race with feline characteristics, the Felpool race has not developed many civilization centers. Instead, they exist primarily as tribes and clans, occasionally interacting with the other races, but generally allying with the more powerful countries when wars ravage the land. A type F humanoid, Felpools have passing similarity to Vanderrans and Kedi.

Divii Sokiv - A wolf-like race. Very violent by nature, feared by most races.

Klaxons - A unique race of ant-like humanoids, Klaxons develop subterranean colonies, but require worker klaxons to be sent to the surface to gather food and other resoruces. Most klaxons are fairly unintelligent worker drones, but a few have broken free of whatever means of control the queen klaxons use and show independent intelligence. Klaxons have the most efficient agriculture on the planet, but their other technology is around TL4.

Dragons - One of the largest indicators of Promethean tampering on Kolan III is the existence of Dragons. Dragons are a known result of Promethean bio-engineering, found in the myths and legends of many races, with surviving variants scattered throughout various worlds. Dragons are highly intelligent and quite dangerous if they are enemies, but quite powerful allies of the Kolonian races. Drakes, the stupid cousin of dragons, are also found on Kolan III.

    (May add more)

    Monsters

Slime - A semi-intelligent blob of flesh, slimes are a very peculiar species found only on Kolan III. They tend to have a mouth and two eyes, and can be green or red. Slimes eat everything organic, and while they have a tendency to try and eat sentient races on sight, they can be domesticated into a rather odd pet.

Troks - Large, cold-blooded creatures, Troks are generally quite unintelligent and violent. Their society is purely tribal, and several tech levels behind the other races. Trok technology is roughly tech level 1, using wooden and stone weapons and no armor. However, their massive size and strength makes up for their technological inferiority. Curiously, the Trok race seems to have a very high rate of healing, evidence of genetic tampering. They are unable to heal burn wounds, however, so their high rate of healing is incomplete.

Orols - Humanoids with green to black skin and pig-like features, the Orols are generally savage and ruthless, at least by Hume standards. Orol society is ruled into warrior tribes that fight each other for dominance, with occasional warlords uniting multiple tribes to attack Hume, Alf, and Dvergar societies. Orols tend to be less technologically advanced than the major races, their tech level being 4 on average.

Ogrim - Ogrim are large humanoids, warm blooded allies and rivals to the Orols. Orol armies generally employ a number of Ogrim and Troks as heavy hitters and siege weapons, as Orol siege technology is less advanced than the other races.

By the way, how heat resistant is the disguise?

You'd probably take on a Felpool disguise. So your disguise would be about as heat resistant as a Felpool is.

The machine quite literally... alters your physical features to look like a Felpool. In this case, it would just restore your missing tail and limbs to their original condition, since Vanderrans don't even need a disguise to pass for Felpools.

So Sxle's "disguise" would really just be her limbs getting re-grown, and putting on an outfit that passes for native clothing.
