"Thank you, Doctor Sato... My back feels a lot better now. The name is Stratonice Kormyra, it is an honour to meet you. I take it that you are acquaintances with Mrs Sukhoia?" Stratonice nodded at Lydia, who rolled her eyes in disgust. "What did I say that caused offence?"

Lydia held up her hands. "No rings, pal. I'm not married. Thusly, if you're not gonna call me Lydia, which I'd prefer it if you did, then I'm a Miss. I have a boyfriend back home, but he's not proposed to me. I would say 'yet', but you can never tell with Kaliell-" Lydia was cut off by a Zikaren marine walking over to them and holding up his hand.

"We're moving out, girls. Get into the shuttle."

"What's a shuttle?" Stratonice asked. Lydia pointed to the shuttle that was landed nearby. "That's a shuttle? OK. Does it fly? If so, how?"

"Stratonice, it does fly, but you don't need to know how..." Lydia replied tersely, in a manner that suggested 'Don't push on this one'. Stratonice got the hint and clambered on board, closely followed by Lydia.

"I see..." said Drake. "Well, it's nice to meet you, mister Krenari."

Anne frowned as read Ixonia's note. "Not being able to hear means she can't speak? How unusual... well, let's get her treated."

She waved over the Zikaren medic. "This one's eardrums were burst by your ortillery's noise pollution," she said, "Would you mind restoring them?"

"Bleh... she should have said so sooner," muttered the Zikaren. "Ah well, simple enough procedure."

The medics went about restoring Ixonia's hearing, complaining about having to help criminals.

Ixonia began to be a bit frighten but soon figured out that they were trying to help her hearing. Once the Zikaren medic was finished, Ixonia was able to hear once again. She smiled and spoke softly for everything seemed extremely loud to her now.

"Thank you sir." ixonia whispered as she settled down next to Anne.
"I am glad to be able to hear once more but everything is now louder than I remembered it to be..." Ixonia looked about and was not at all sure what was going on so she just watched and listened to what was going around her.
