Huzzah, Yes indeed Chaos, I was just seeing if you were still watching. You are correct in surmising the T1 rules for this. If you are ready I will post a fight between you and Soldier.

    Sure, fire it up.

Oh, btw, should I assume that my energy reserves are zero for this fight or do I get to start with the charges that I would if I had a full charge post?

And something else, I assume the tournament has a continuity? If so, will my energy reserves be transferred to the next battle or will I always start with a set amount?

    Real Name: Appy Steelwater

    Occupation: US Army

    Age: 71

Place of Birth: WWII Earth/Detroit, MI

    Race: M45 Assault Platform-LD (Female Variant)/'Mech'

    Height:5'11

    Weight: 650lb

    Eyes: Brown

    Appearance:

Appy's form is modeled after Rosie the Riveter--red bandana, blue shirt, and all. Two spinning gears protrude out of her back. Despite the 1940s' old technology, Appy's artificial skin and human-like features are so well done that it is almost impossible to tell that she is a machine even though she is over 70 years old.

    Personality:

Appy is not alive, and thus has little personality to display. Her emotions, as should be expected of a machine, are virtually non-existent, and thus cannot be played upon by anyone that seeks to abuse, misuse or manipulate Appy in any shape or form. She was designed to remain fiercely loyal to the United States during WWII and the Korean War, and to throw down her life for persons of importance—such as a US president for example.

As a veteran soldier (and as a machine), Appy is accustomed to the horrors of war, and will not succumb to the primitive emotion that is fear. However, Appy can hate, like and distrust someone, and will not hesitate to inform that person of their current standing with her. She will defend herself if attacked, and will also defend those that are her allies should their lives become endangered. Appy can be talked to like a normal human being, but her responses will be absent feeling or sincerity.

    History:

While the United States’ M4 Sherman tank was suitable for battling Panzer I, Panzer II, Panzer III and (in most cases) Panzer IV tanks, the later variations of the Panzer series (notably the Tiger I and Tiger II) proved incredibly troublesome for the underpowered tank to contend with. In 1943, the US Army commissioned a private sector of Ford Motors to create a vehicle that could take on German heavy tanks and shrug off hits from heavy German-made guns. The project, codenamed Vendetta, was projected to take at least four months to complete, with a fully-functional prototype expected to be completed around one month after initial blueprints and parts were written and forged.

Before work began, news of the proposed project reached the ears of GM, who insisted on being allowed to work alongside Ford Motors. US Army officials, feeling that the project would be completed faster with two companies designing the vehicle as opposed to one, green-lighted the request.

However, with the US Army’s strong stance on placing speed, endurance and technical reliability over armor thickness and gun caliber, the tank the US Army wanted seemed extremely difficult if not downright impossible to create. Like the Sherman, the vehicle had to be easily transportable by boat and railway, and was to maintain a top speed of at least thirty mph. Its weight also had to be under forty tons.

Rather than abide by the US Army’s strict criteria, GM and Ford Motors drew up plans for a first-of-its-kind machine: a mechanized human-like soldier. The machine’s ‘gender’ would be female, with its computer systems reminiscent that of highly-advanced (and experimental) 1970s-era computing technology.

Its name would be Appy Steelwater. Later discussions gave way to Appy's overall appearance resembling that of Rosie the Riveter. It was thought that this would boost morale among the vast female workforce present during WWII should the machines be paraded throughout US cities.

In the beginning, the US Army was unsure of what to make of Ford Motors' and GM's strange creation. Nevertheless, the money had been spent and the military inspectors had been fooled to the point where drawing up plans for a proper tank was impossible at the time. The war's pace was quickening. The Army needed their tank.

Appy’s ‘birthday’ was January 19th, 1943. After going through several more testing phases on firing ranges located in Houston, TX, she would serve abroad, participating in the Normandy landings and taking part in the Battle of the Bulge. She would also see action during the Pacific Campaign. After the war, Appy would be credited with 402 confirmed infantry kills and 34 destroyed vehicles—four of which were German Panther medium tanks, two German Tiger II heavy tanks and nine Japanese Type 97 Chi-Ha medium tanks.

During the course of the war, more than 80 M45 Assault Platforms would be completed. Appy’s later sisters would serve in Korea alongside her. No male variants were ever created.

Although a success, the US Army decided to halt the Vendetta program, and to instead focus on the advancement of the Main Battle Tank. Ford Motors and GM agreed, and shut the entire production line down in 1954.

Today, Appy is the last of her kind, and is kept as a sort of ‘wife’ to an antique weapons collector living in Chicago, IL. She is a closely guarded secret, as Appy was thought to have been destroyed sometime between 1949 and 1951. How she remained hidden for so many years after the Korean War is unknown.

    Known Powers:

To Wake A Sleeping Giant: Appy can draw all of the power from her weapons systems and pour it into her servos, allowing her to swing her axe with much more force. Coupled with her passive 'Strength of the Machineborn' ability, this attack can become exceptionally deadly if allowed to connect. She can only use this once every ten minutes (or once every five posts). Any magical attacks that strike her while she is in this state are twice as powerful. The effect lasts for twenty seconds. This ability lasts for four posts.

America Will Never Fall: Similar to her 'To Wake A Sleeping Giant' ability, Appy can draw power from her weapons systems to coat her body in an electrical field that drastically reduces all incoming damage by a large margin. She becomes immobile, but gains total immunity towards physical attacks while all incoming magical attacks are reduced to 1/4th their overall strength. Physical attacks that come into contact with Appy's electrical barrier are reflected back at the attacker. This ability shares a cooldown with 'To Wake A Sleeping Giant', and also takes ten minutes (or five posts) to recharge. This ability lasts for one minute. Stacked with Appy's 'Strength of the Machineborn' passive ability, 'America Will Never Fall' can become a force to be reckoned with.

    Abilities:

Strength of the Machineborn: Appy is incredibly strong, and is able to damage most (common) materials regardless of their make with a single blow from her fist. Appy’s internal computer actively tracks her condition, pushing her mechanical body to new limits as it takes incoming fire. As a result, Appy’s physical strength increases as her current condition worsens, ultimately tripling when she is dangerously close to death. Appy’s speed, agility and endurance all increase as well, allowing her to remain in her damaged (yet beneficial) state for longer periods of time while simultaneously evading and enduring any further attacks from those that mean her harm. Undamaged, Appy has been shown to lift and throw objects weighing as much as two tons.

Reinforced hull: Appy’s hull armor is able to deflect the mightiest of blows from melee weapons. She can survive direct hits from 75mm AP rounds, and can walk away from glancing blows delivered by 90mm guns.

Toughness: Formed of a high-grade composite armor made of titanium and steel, Appy is able to survive falls and blows that would completely decimate the bodies of lesser beings.

    Weapons:

Sunderkind, Greataxe of the Bitter North (formally referred to as ‘L87 Personal Defense Weapon’):

Sunderkind’s weight is immense and its bite even more so. GM and Ford Motors were both reluctant to give Appy a melee weapon, as a practical use for such a device could not be seen on a modern battlefield. After reviewing combat trials showcasing the weapon in use, the US Army deemed the axe suitable for use in combat and engineering work.

The blade is shaped from a composite material made of diamond and obsidian with the handle and shaft shaped from tungsten. The weapon is able to breach the armor of most constructs, and has been reinforced to stand against Appy’s strength. As a battleaxe, the weapon is best used when the enemy is kept at a distance. Appy will try to disarm and dismember her enemies by hooking the axe’s head around exposed handles, appendages, chains, cloaks or other easily-manipulated objects on a combatant’s form. She can swing the weapon as fast as a normal man could a long sword.

The axe is usually carried on Appy’s shoulder. It is the length of Appy’s body, and weighs 200lb.

    Wrist-mounted short-barreled 37mm Gun M3:

The US Army was pleased with Appy’s physical attributes and capabilities, but were unhappy to find that she had not been equipped with an adequate weapons system in which to attack lightly-armored targets with.l Ford Motors and GM—unable to mount a larger ranged weapon within Appy’s chassis without increasing her overall size—selected the 37mm Gun M3 as her main ranged weapon. The weapon is integrated within Appy’s right wrist, with the weapon’s loading mechanism situated inside her right shoulder and breast. Ammunition is wetly stored in an armored pack that sits between the two exposed cogs on Appy’s back. The pack holds five rounds, with a sixth located within the gun’s breach. It fires HE (High Explosive) rounds.

    Wrist-mounted mini M1919 Browning Machineguns:

Implanted within Appy’s wrist are two scaled-down 30.cal machineguns. The rounds fired by the M1919 Browning lack the punch of 50.cal rounds (and thus may struggle against heavier armor). Because of each weapon’s diminished size (and the limitations brought on by Appy’s size), the weapons are magazine loaded. Each magazine carries 50 rounds of ammunition. Appy has enough ammunition for two complete reloads.

    Armor:

Composite armor made of unenchanted steel, titanium and tungsten. Appy's entire body is constructed of this material.

    Limitations:

Slow: Appy’s build is similar to that of a WWII-era heavy tank. She is heavily armored and armed to the teeth, but incredibly slow. Her top running speed is only fifteen miles-per-hour.*

Mechanical Failure: Appy’s exposed cogs can be jammed, which would severely limit her ability to function. *

Obsolete: Appy is over 70 years old, and thus is an aging relic when compared to the futuristic pieces of machinery of today. She is unable to process modern pieces of data, and she does not possess advanced targeting systems, impacting her ability to hit moving targets with her ranged weaponry.*

Vulnerable to Magic: Abby hails from WWII-era Earth, and thus does not have respectable defenses against magic. While she can shrug off fireballs and lightning, more ‘otherworldly’ magics will bypass her reinforced hull.

    Strengths:

Hollowed Mind: Appy's 'mind' cannot be damaged by attacks that aim to disrupt, destroy and otherwise hinder the brain of a mortal being. She cannot be shown disturbing visions, and cannot be forced into a state where her mental sanity is jeopardized.

Immune to Pain: Appy can detect when she has taken damage, but she does not actually feel it as we humans do, and thus will not flinch and cry out in pain if she loses an arm or leg.

Never Weary: Appy runs on a diesel engine. As long as she has fuel, she can run forever.

Unaffected by EMPs: More advanced pieces of hardware and software are devastated by EMPs. Appy, being a '40s-era mechanized unit that does not utilize delicate circuits and chips in the majority of her body, is not. Her internal computer systems are EMP-hardened also.

    Real Name: Angelina Layton

    Occupation: Corporate Assassin

    Other Aliases: D34TH

    Place of Birth: Britain, 2099.

    Race: Human/Cyborg

    Height: 5 foot 4

    Weight:114lbs

    Eyes: Natural: Hazel(Inactive) Suit: Red

    Appearance:

History: Angelina was born into a wealthy family, one of the richest in Britain. Yet, she was born with a birth defect that was becoming more and more commonplace with the people of the world, due to pollution. The defect was known as B.A.L.O.L, Blindness And Lack Of Limbs. Fortunately, due to her parent's extreme wealth and the development of technology, Angelina had a 'cure'. The cure was 'Cyborcese', the new process of replacing damaged or missing limbs on the body with bio-robotic parts. She could control the parts given to her with her mind, and quickly became adept in moving the parts.

Then, her family was approached by the military. The world was at war, and they needed new soldiers. The military was starting the C.R.O, Cyborcese Roundup Operation. The reason for this, Cyborcese limbs are ten times more powerful than humans', and could even be programmed with military technology. Her father begged the military to not take his daughter, he offered them money, fame, even himself as a soldier. Yet, the soldiers would not take it, they NEEDED Angelina. At that moment, Angelina's father took out a gun, shot one of the soldiers, yet the other one was too quick to react, and shot her father with the pistol he kept in it's holster. The soldier then promptly murdered the rest of Angelina's family, considering them too much of a risk to keep alive. Angelina was then taken 'hostage' by the military, and at the base, promptly had her mind wiped and was put under morphine while the soldiers altered her limbs.

When she awoke, she had no memory of her family, she felt different, powerful, and she was clad in the armor that is seen on her today, never changing it, never needing to rest. She was the ultimate soldier, with the grief that still somehow clung to her conscious, she did not know what of, but she knows that it was caused by this war, so she wished to end it. She was agent D34TH, she would end this war

Known Powers: (All of Angelina's abilities have a 3 post cooldown, unless stated otherwise)

Phase Shift - D34TH has the ability of short range teleportation, only appearing as a flash between distances, she cannot move for about 1 post after teleporting though, as she becomes disorientated, yet she still has the ability to prep any of her other abilities.

Phase Burst - She can produce a burst of energy that can either be used offensively or defensively. It can be used to push enemies or projectiles away, it is easier in the object is light and moving slower.

Phase EMP - She can use this against mechanical objects or enemies, it temporarily disables any electronic equipment for a duration of around 1 post, and can also act as a flash grenade for the same duration.

Phase Electricity - She can surround herself in electricity for around a minute, which causes physical attacks to deal half damge, and return damage to the owner if they are connected to the object, and negates any magical attacks. Angelina can not use any other of her abilities during this duration. She also gains double speed during this time.

Phase Shield - Angelina creates a brief shield around her for five seconds, which prevents anything from coming within a 2 meter radius, magical or physical.

Phase Charge - She can charge her katana or hands with any of her abilities, putting them on cooldown.

Phase Cloak - Angelina can put up a cloak indefinitely, if she wishes, but the longer she spends cloaked the more energy she drains from herself, causing her to become extremely exhaust under prolonged use, 2 posts or above.

Phase multiply - Angelina can create up to two copies of herself. All copies look exactly the same, yet act on their own accord. The duplications can deal no damage, and dissipate at the first sign of trauma.

    Abilities:

Phased Sight - Angelina's eyes have been enhanced using military technology, meaning that she can see on all levels of the spectrum.

Phased Might - All of Angelina's limbs have enhanced power, giving her 1.5x the power a well-trained human would have. This also increases her speed by the same amount.

Phased Gymnastics - Angelina at an early age was interested in gymnastics, now her body has enhanced that skill unbelievably. She can now speedily do any form of gymnastics, and can even use certain aspects of capoeira.

Phased Sneak - Angelina has been made to infiltrate enemy lines, meaning she moves near-silently.

Phased Reparation - Any damage done to Angelina's armor can be repaired within a matter of minutes (Minor damage: 2 posts, major damage: four posts), yet she has only slightly enhanced natural healing, small amounts of damage can be healed within three posts, whereas large damage (deep cuts, dislocation) takes around five posts.

Phased Adaptation - Angelina can not 're-grow' any of her lost robotic limbs, instead, she immediately adapts to the lost limb. If she loses a leg, she will go onto a hand and a leg, and is still extremely adept at moving in this position.

Phased Martial Arts - Angelina is a master in most martial arts, when she loses the katana, she will revert to bear fists, and legs.

Weapons: Her Katana, made out of the finest metal, strong enough so that even this 1 millimeter thick blade can slice through other metal, and is incredibly difficult to break.

Armor: Her armor is a Kevlar-titanium-nylon composite, flexible, near impossible to break or cut, yet the body underneath is subject to strong forces. She will feel the impact from a shotgun burst at close range, but the damage will not be fatal.

    Limitations:

Mental state - Angelina is in an extremely conflicted mental state, with the love of the army for giving her power, yet the hatred that she does not know the origins are, she is subject to a breakdown. This can result in either sudden fury, a mental breakdown, or stopping her bodily functions. This will happen at least once per battle.

Mercy/Morals - Angelina, even though told to have no mercy, can not perform actions that she deems morally incorrect, possibly hindering her in a fight.

Reliant - Event though Angelina can definitely handle herself without all of the technology, she feels as if she is nothing without it, so if she does not have access to her abilities, then she will nearly withdraw, except she will normally persevere.

Magical ignorance - Angelina exists in a magic-free era of earth's history, and therefore is unaware of the magical abilities possessed by others.

What ever else you deem important for your character:

Tactical mind - D34TH will notice the enemy's strengths and weaknesses displayed in battle, and will adapt her strategy around them.

Well Done, You Read My Signature

I like both characters, however we are currently in the finals of the NoW. The next NoW tournament will the Summer Beat down and if you are still interested you are welcome to participate.
