I think it depends on how they say it, and what brings it up. If it happens to come up, or I ask, or it's relevant to something, then I'll listen however long they need me to.

But if they like to bring it up out of nowhere and tell it like "LOL MY LIFE IS SO BAD I'M KIND OF BRAGGING ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT'S SO EXCITING AND I LOVE HOW INCREDULOUS PEOPLE ARE" like a badge or honor or some shit, then I side-eye them. Don't use your suffering as a cheap gimmick. And don't try to get attention for it, that's lame.
