Hum all this interchanging of terms have made me wonder what characters from the two settings would have thought about one another if they had met one another. :P

Well they live in two different worlds and while crossovers are possible, I would never do a crossover in a game not planned for it as it changes the mood of both parents settings, that being said crossovers are in fact my specialty, I have never done one here at this site as many frown on them, but they can be fun given the right circumstances. My WoT game here on Roleplayers Guild however is a straight up WoT game and will never be a crossover.Maybe, but who says they couldn't? :P
Oh I can just imagine our characters in this SoT game's reaction to WoT. I mean I think it would go something like this Meeru and Ellian would be all over the magick system since it is rather powerful and extremely elegant, then they would figure out what Aes Sedai do to male magic users and run and hide behind Ellynara and almost die of fright. :P
I was just using words that summed up what was going on. They just so happened to be used in WoT. xD

That depends, where are you going to start your character, near the Wizard's Keep where Miridan and Callum is going or at the People's Palace where the rest of the characters are?
Wizard's keep. I could be exploring for the wizard of old and get disappointed. Is the keep occupied or deserted?
