You've been contacted by his King Edward Neval III of Nevalia, you have been chosen to lead a new settlement, upon meaning with a group of royal advisors a group of explorers has recently returned from a year long expedition to the newly discovered Western Continent. You have been chosen as an expert in your field to lead an advanced settlement to put the first trading harbor run by an eastern Kingdom. The Kings plan was simple, secure trading routes with the locals, and establish a trading route for the Nevalian Navy. This could make Nevalia the most powerful of the 10 kingdoms.

Taj Jorge was the leader of the of expedition, and held many brefings telling you and the of the people and creatures he saw on the expedition.

    In his own words
"The Isashi Valley is a fertile plain that spreads thousands of miles up and down the coast and far inland to the mountain range known as Dragonridge.
Cities know as Tribes dotted the landscape but they were much different than those home, they were small, lead an by an small government of elected officials there were no real nations just city-states, each focusing farming crops, raising livestock, producing goods and and trading between the neighboring towns. But war was an interval part of life as well, in the summer months after the crops had been sown or in the autumn after the harvest, it was common for these communities to attack one another over vendetta between the Tribes or sometimes unprovoked for cattle and occasionally land . There religion was different from that of our people as well, they worshiped many gods, each village having a specific few they worship to above the others and will often trade for blessings from the holy men of other tribes. The head of these deities is Isashi the father, the sun god. The people of these Tribes, the Isashi, would find reasons to celebrate, they hold lavish feasts, inviting neighboring tribes celebrating weddings or trade agreements between tribes or the long settling of debts, or even alliances before war.

"There are also nomadic groups that roam the valley, traveling priests of the the various deities trading prayers and sharing the powers of their enchanted items, mercenary bands travel around offering there service to the highest bidder, trading caravans selling goods from all over traveled with minstrels and bards, and there were more dangerous groups too such as bandit guilds and raiders. Life in the valley is fierce and competitive making for men of strong mind and body

"Now the beasts of the West are fierce creatures, sure there are rodents, deer, fowl, and insect, there are also bears that stand as tall as a house, giant crabs guard several areas of rocky coastline, giant yetis live in Rocky Mountains regions and attack men on site. At the southern edge of The valley in a massive bog we dared not cross, for mindless corpses walked through its mists. The great forest to the north lived strange half beast men who kept to themselves but the Isashi told us they were fearsome warriors. It was in the winter when we saw our first dragon, they hide above storm clouds and raid the occasional human settlement durring the cold months otherwise they roost in the Dragonridge mountains."

The kings mission was simple "The Western Continent is a dangerous unforgiving place, but we Nevali are strong we have plenty to offer the men of Isashi Valley know it 20 men from the expedition stayed behind and we were able to trade for the perfect plot of land, cove perfect for docking ships and small river to supply fresh water and a mill and forests to the river and a an area perfect for farming to the north. I would like thou to go there and establish a harbor town to act as our trading center for the West before any of the ten kingdoms even know it exists"

This seems really interesting. I'd like to reserve councilor of the Hunt and make a CS after I've finished the work I have to do, if that's okay.

    Name: Lothar Wolff
    Age: 31
    Councilor of: Trade
Occupation in Nevalia: Magnate of Wolff Shipping Co.
Biography: The 3rd generation to inherit the Wolff Trading Co., Lothar was born in a family filled with businessmen. Any investment has its risks. It was a businessman's job to lower the risks, and pick the best choices. That was a lesson that Lothar learned from an early age as at the age of 16 he was already overseeing trades in his family's business. However, Lothar knew the importance of having the law look upon you favorably in business. Thus, he personally began sending monetary gifts and special deals to the King of Nevalia. For example, when King needed ships quickly to send soldiers in an area about to rebel. Lothar was the first to personally bring 10 frigates to help move troops without asking for monetary compensations. In return, the government favored Wolff Trading Co. and often found it's royal duties to the King reduced. On top of that, since Lothar was found to be extremely reliable, the King often personally contracted with Wolff Shipping Co. in order to transport shipments that he needed quickly or believed to be extremely valuable. Course, once the new continent was found, Lothar was the first to be offered an opportunity to access this market as an adviser in this new colony. Although this enterprise has many risks, Lothar sees the potential wealth to be astronomical and so he accepted the job and became the councilor of trade.

Sweet, definitely thinking about the Councilor of Faith. Do you have a set god/pantheon or can I make one? Can I make him dark and ambitious? How involved are 'our' gods and their gods? Do they manifest/speak to their servants?

    Eemmtt your in!

    You got it faenor,

Um, the locals seem to have more contact with theire gods, atleast they think they do, they commune with their gods through spiritual rituals, animal sacrifice, things that seem strange to us, but somethings are familiar like prayer incense and candles

our religioun should be something more like Christianity or the maker in dragon age if you ever played it, monotheistic , churches, all knowing all loving sometimes vengeful god etc. otherwise you have free range maybe god does speak to you but will anyone believe you?

EDITor maybe one of these local deities starts speaking to you after we arrive if you wanted to go dark

    Name: Henry Leinan
    Age: 26
    Councilor of: the Hunt
Occupation in Nevalia: The Royal Biologist and Botanist
Biography: Quite ironically, Henry was never really interested in hunting. He was raised solely by his father in a very rural area. His father, a very poor man, was a master at making snares, nets, and a variety of other traps. He taught this skill to his son, who discovered his true calling after attempting to catch a rabbit, but instead deciding to watch it for hours, observing its behavior. He also passed on his knowledge of medicinal herbs, and the many useful plants of the wilderness.

Upon reaching his mid-teens, Henry decided he wanted to further his education to more than that of a forest-dwelling peasant. He would make runs almost daily to the nearby Capitol to sell specimines of flora and fauna to some scholars there. When he finally scraped enough cash together, he was able to pay for a mediocre education, but that was enough to get his talents recognized by a larger school, to which he was offered a full scholarship.

He quickly passed through the classes, eventually graduating well before his peers, a feat he attributed in part to his father's teachings. The book he wrote on the region's plants and animals caught the attention of one of the King's assistants, who offered him the job he had before leaving.

Once he got to this new world, he decided, he would separate the hunters in to groups. Those that hunt traditionally, and those who would use his father's trapping methods. Perhaps he could even bring back some of the live specimines from the snares or do an autopsy on on of the dead ones to study their weaknesses, or possibly even work with the Councilor of the Land on possibly domestication.

Though sometimes doubting himself about being a leader because of his age, he knows that his wit and skills will make him a great addition to the settlement.
