There was a gentle knock on the door as Sebastian stood outside "I am here Rhea-sama" said Sebastian as he slided open the door. He could see that his Rhea-sama could not sleep, perhaps still being shaken from the ghost attack earlier. He smiled at Rhea-sama's instructions for him to sit with her. He didn't know why, but they felt more like an invitation. Sebastian quietly pulled over a chair gazing at the girl on the bed. Sebastian took Rhea-sama's hand into his and carressed it. "You can rest safely Rhea-sama, the ghosts will no longer harm you". Sebastian's wings moved themselves to a more relaxed position "You can count my feathers if you want" he would say as he leaned in close to her.

Alexus stirred a bit as he felt the soft arms of his familiar wrap around him. He had been working hard this morning, writing up a very large number of talismans and strips. They were quite taxing on his body. He woke up slightly, somewhat staggering along the way and at times even resting on her chest. Hmm... soft.

Alexus was eventually set down on the futon in his room and once again he dozed of. The elderly gentleman seemed to smile at this (or was it a grin?). He followed the tall woman to where he was to sleep for the night. The elderly gentleman kneeled himself onto the futon and performed a bow for the familiar - the bow was something that only belonged to the ancient ages. "Thank you kind one"

Smiling slightly, Rhea turned on her side to look at Sebastian. She wondered if he'd be comfortable sitting in that chair all night and was half tempted to invite him to sit on her bed but decided against it. She didn't know how he' d respond to such a request. Her cheeks turned a light shade of red once he'd grabbed her hand. As she gave it a light squeeze, she smiled gratefully up at him and reached up to gently run her hand through his feathers. He had a ton of them and doubted that she could count all of them before she fell asleep. "Thank you for sitting in her with me...I feel a lot safer now..." Rhea said quitely and smiled up at him. She was vaguely aware of how close he was to her...

Raine nodded towards the elderly man and then closed the door as she left. Now, she had the shrine to herself, though she liked it better when her master was around. Silently, she walked into the kitchen and looked into the fridge, discovering that they were low on food. Frowning, she grabbed her wallet and headed out of the shrine to go find a store that would be open at such a time of night.

That morning, the demon was up early, cooking various types of food that she figured their guest and her master would enjoy eating. She even took the time to put on an apron that she'd bought the other day too.

Sebastian smiled softly as Rhea touched his feathers. At a few points, they would seem to flinch a little because Sebastian was ticklish there. He stroked her face to comfort her and continued to watch her whilst she was sleeping. Rhea-sama was a very delicate and beautiful girl. Sebastian felt lucky that he was her protector and that she was here with him. The only thing holding him back was that it was taboo for demons and humans to be in love due to their different lifespans. ""I want us to be together Rhea-sama" whispered Sebastian to no one in particular. He then lightly kissed her hand as she slept.

In the morning, Rhea would wake up and find that Sebastian was sleeping soundly beside her on the other half of the bed (fully clothed). The Tengu stirred a little before he opened his eyes. "Good morning Rhea-sama, I trust you slept well?" he asked whilst stroking her face lightly.

Strangely when it came to morning the elderly man could not be found. Raine would hear Alexus' footsteps as he yawned loudly and stretched. When Alexus stepped into the room, he looked vastly different from all the other mornings. His hair was unkempt and he had a dishevelled and messy appearance. Also, he wasn't wearing a shirt. This was not like the neat and proper Alexus she knew.

"So, what for breakie?" said Alexus as he sat down and propped up one leg. "You should wear less you know. It'll benefit a familiar like you"

Rhea was definately surprised to see Sebastian sleeping beside her and she felt her cheeks warm a bit when he touched her face. "I, uhm, yes. Did you sleep well, too?" She asked softly, sitting up as she did so. The girl was glad he didn't sleep in that uncomfortable chair all night and hoped that her bed was comfortable enought for the demon. As she waited for him to answer, Rhea reached forward and gently ran her fingers through his wings. She remembered doing that the night before and the sense of calm, happiness and another emotion that she couldn't identify as he sat next to her last night....

Raine was extremely glad to see Alexus up and it clearly showed on her face, that is, untill he spoke. "W...what?" She asked, the smile leaving her face, and looked down at her clothes. She wore a traditional black and blue robe that kissed the floor whenever she walked and was pulled tight around the curve of her waist. "What are you talking about?" She asked again. Wearing less would mean exposing herself (dressed in black shorts and a tanktop) to him in an innapropriate way. Demons weren't supposed to do that to their masters, or atleast that's what she thought...

Sebastian loved the way Rhea would run her hand through his feathers. He blushed at this as he spread his wings so that one of them could cover her like a blanket. He then stroked her face again "Yes, I slept well, especially because I have you with me. This shrine is very lucky to have you as our Shrine God. You're prettier than any demon, purer than any angel...I am really thankful" said Sebastian as he leaned in closer to her. He wanted to say more, but he didn't know how to. He also knew that demons and humans were not supposed to be together. But he wanted to love her, he wanted to her know that. The Tengu was selfish in that respect, not wanting any other human to be near her. "I want to be by your side forever"

Alexus clearly wasn't himself this morning. "Yeah, you're a demon right? Aren't you supposed to be wearing very little?" said Alexus as he got a can of beer. From what Raine knew about him, Alexus rarely ever drank beer unless he needed to because it was for a formal gathering. This Alexus was very different. Alexus then yawned loudly as he got up and strode to the TV turning it on and flicking to the wrestling channel. The demon was to be ignored and he will live like a king.

Rhea blushed at his words. He was being very kind and honest with her lately and she found out that she liked it. A lot. She reached up and gently ran her fingers through his feathers once more, loving the way that they felt. The girl then looked forward and realized that her demon was close. Extremely close but she didn't mind it one bit. In fact, she felt herself moving forward, as if her body was controlled by something other than her own brain too. "I...I want to be with you too." Rhea said softly. Suddenly, she realized how much she liked Sebastian. At first, she'd supressed the feelings so much that she'd thought that they had disappeared but, now, they were dangerously close to briming over the edge...

Raine simply stared at Alexus as he walked out of the kitchen. She was completely speechless. Just what in the hell has gotten into him today. In fact, it almost made her angry. Silently, she finished fixing their breakfast before walking into the living room and placing the plate in front of him. "Enjoy, I guess." She muttered and settled beside him on the couch, her own plate in her hand. Maybe it was just a phase...

"My Rhea-sama..." said Sebastian as he placed his arms around Rhea. He leaned in further and then gently kissed her on the lips. He was no longer able to hold back his feelings and desire for her. She was irresistible and wanted to kiss her again. Who could have thought that he as a demon would fall for a human girl? After the kiss, Sebastian would pull away from Rhea, wondering what her reaction would be. Did she like it? Or would she run away?

Alexus at whatever the familiar had put in front him though his mind was on the wresting match. Then he would suddenly stand up and then head to the door. "We're going to that shrine girl's place" said Alexus with arms folded. He looked towards the sword that he always carried with him and tried to pick it up, only to throw it back down again with a hiss. The sword left a burn mark on his hand which he balled into a fist to hide. "I command you to take that damn sword for me familiar".

Rhea's blush only got bigger when Sebastian kissed her. She' d given her first kiss to her demon. A demon! Weren't relationships like this practically impossible to have? Despite that fact, the girl found herself wanting to kiss him again, and that's exactly what she did. She was a little hesitant at first but once their lips touched yet again, she wasn't as hesitant as before. After a moment or two like this, she pulled away and bit her lip shyly. "Hehe…" What did she just do...?

Raine was done with her food by the time that Alexus decided to leave. As she stood, she watched as he stridded out the door, commanding her to do something. "Oh hell--" No matter how much she wanted to resist doing it, she was still his demon and had to do whatever he said. No matter how rude he was. What's his problem today? she thoguht as her feet moved forward, against her will, of course, and her hand picked his sword. His sword that he was perfectly capable of picking up himself. Hopefully, it's just a phase....

Alexus and Raine soon arrived at the Northern Shrine to find Sebastian and Rhea having breakfast. Strangely, Alexus didn't even knock at all and instead rudely barged in whilst eyeing Rhea. "So this is the Northern Shrine? Looks like a dump!" Alexus would say arrogantly. Sebastian frowned and stood up facing Alexus. He searched for Alexus' soul...But he couldn't find it. Then Sebastian saw the faintest trace of aura. Alexus was possessed by a ghost, similar to those ones from last night. But this ghost was more powerful. Sebastian could only guess it was their leader. The one who had been scaring away all the worshippers.

"Rhea-sama, Raine, this is not Alexus. He's been possessed" said Sebastian as he blocked off Alexus' path to Rhea,

"Found me out already eh? Well then attack me all you want. Alexus will just die sooner" laughed Alexus evily. He then turned to Raine. "Familiar! I command you to attack Sebastian! A fight to the death!"

Rhea smiled when she saw the door open but then frowned when she realized it was a very rude Alexus. What was wrong with him? She was positive that he wasn't acting like this when she'd first met him. Putting down her spoon, she stood and was about to go walk over to him untill Sebastian stopped both of them. "Possessed?" She asked, though she believed it, especially when she'd just encountered people who had been possessed themselves. Glancing over at Raine, she realized that the demon was just as surprised but not too surprised as she was.

"No wonder you were acting like a butt this morn--" Raine was cut off when he commanded her to attack Sebastian. She had no desire to harm the demon but, against her will, her feet began to move forward and her hand grabbed the dagger from her belt. "I'm sorry. I really don't want to do this but you know how this 'I'm bonded to a human' stuff goes." She said and then launched at him, making Rhea scream from behind him.
