[Fairy Tale Dreamer]

The first day of the new school year was starting and it is a day where everyone is excited. Boys hope to find cute hot girlfriends to do stuff with and not feel like a total loser. Girl try to look their cutest with their nicely done hair, make up, and trying to bend the rules with their clothes. The students also hope that they get to sit next to their friends or a popular kid or hope that they get the super cute teacher in their class. But for one student all she worries about is getting hit by her father.

Emily used to like a normal life where she was always happy but things changed when her dad lost his job do to an injury and they lived off his welfare checks and he started drinking big time. Emily's mom could not take it anymore and soon ran off with a younger richer man leaving her only daughter behind in the hands of her father. That is when life got hard and also when the beating started there was no moment for her that was safe she was always at risk of getting hurt some how. now she was in a new school because her father was at risk of being charged for child abuse by social workers so he forced Emily to move with him.

Now she was in the new house that father picked out and it already wrecked of the smell of beer and full of beer bottles and Emily was trying to make breakfast for her dad since it was her job now to feed him, and do whatever he says or else she was getting hurt. "Emily what is taking so long I am starving here?!" Her father yelled and Emily was working as fast as she could but with one wrist being bandaged tight and her arms barely moving it was hard to move. "It is almost done dad." She yelled back in a nice voice cus the last time she snapped she was in the ER with a broken leg. "And Emily don't forget my cold beer." He said as he watched Tv and Emily did as she was told by finishing breakfast and making sure to grab the coldest beer in the fridge and brought it to him. Once he got the food he scarfed it down like a wild animal which disgusted Emily and her father noticed her face and threw the plate at her. "Quit looking at me with those eyes I hate those eyes." He said made and slurring his words while Emily's head was bleeding. "Sorry father." was all Emily could say as she went to the bathroom and put a bandage on her head and grabbed her things. "I'm going to school dad." She said and all her dad did was grunt and she left not eating since most of the food went to her dad. After closing the door behind her she started to make her way down the street to her new school.

Blake woke out of his wonderful slumber to his noisy alarm clock. He softly groaned and shut off the alarm, silencing the annyoing sound. He sat up, feeling the cool air from his open window rush against his bare chest, he slightly shivered and quickly got up, shutting his window. Wearing nothing but boxers, he made his bed and headed to the bathroom. After brushing his teeth and washing his face, he headed back to his room. He slipped on a fresh pair of boxers and grabbed a gray v-neck and a pair of black jeans. After getting dressed he grabbed his bag that was filled with supplies, which his mother got him, he went down stairs and smelled a pot of freshly brewed coffee. He filled his coffee cup and added creamer and sugar then slipped on the lid and headed off to school, walking down the same street as Emily, but he far ahead of her.

Emily's stomach was growling a little since she hadn't eaten anyhting since it was hard to even eat at home. She let out a sigh and dug in her bag to see if she had an energy bar or something to help her stomache settle untile she can figure out what she can do to feed herself. "Man the fatter her grows the less I eat and then I get skinner and skiner." She groaned as she kept walking not knowing someones was ahead of her and she finally found an energy bar and greedy ate it fast even though she should have tried to savor it but that is what happen. Emily soon jumped on the wall that surrounded a large planet and walked across it thinking what was the point of trying not to get hurt since she was going to get hurt one way or another.

Blake occasionally sipped on his coffee, feeling the warmth of the hot beverage glide down his throat. He heard footsteps behind him so he looked back to see a girl. He turned back and said to himself, "Hmm she must be new.. I've never seen her before." He saw the school up ahead. He softly groaned and rolled his eyes, "Another year of hell.. Sluts, jocks, rumors, here I come" He walked quietly into the school and headed off to cafeteria where he ate his breakfast and did his homework that he didn't finish. He sat down at the table in the corner and pulled out an orange and also his book. After peeling the orange he took parts of it and ate it, drinking his coffee and continuing to read his book. He glanced at the clock and saw it was 7:10 and the first bell would ring in twenty minutes.

Emily jumped off the wall once she was at the school and finally noticed a guy in front of her she didn't make an attempt to say hi it was another year for her to be picked on and being called trash girl or dumpster girl since her clothes looked like they came out of the trash. She make her way to the main office after getting lost a few times and signed a few papers that she was allowed to sign. She then received her book, locker number, locker combination, a map, and her class schedule. Emily thanked the lady at the desk and made her way down the hall taking the time to try to find her locker at least so she could put her books somewhere and not carry them around since she didn't have the strength to do so. "Man where is my locker? Why does this school have to be so big?" She said as she looked at the marked areas of the map to find her locker but was just only getting lost.

Blake threw away the orange peelings and seen that it was 7:20. He liked being early so he would have to deal with student traffic. He headed up stairs and made his way to his locker but he noticed there was that girl again and also how he saw how she was lost. He decided to be nice like the gentleman that he was. "Excuse me." He shouted to the girl and ran to her. "Are you lost?" He said softly to her as he stood behind her, waiting for her to turn around and answer his question. "I can help if you are lost."

Emily jumped and dropped her stuff when she heard someone yell at her and when she turned her head she jumped again for she was surprised to see someone behind her really fast. "Um uh yes I am lost I'm new here me and my father just moved here about a week ago so new house new school." She siad laughing weakly trying to sound normal but she was still a little frighten but she snapped out of it when she rememebred that she dropped her things. "Ah my books and papers." She siad and quickly picked them up before the hallways could get crowded. But as she picked up the books she winced a little for she was putting them on her bad arm. "Great first day of school and I am already dropping things ." She mumbled and finnaly picked everything that she need up.

Blake helped picking up her stuff. "I'm so sorry for scaring you... I'm Blake" he said sweetly. He noticed the bandage on her arm. "What happened to your arm?" He looked at her curiously with his sparkling blue eyes, he looked her eyes and got lost in them for a moment. After coming back to the real world he blushed a bit. "So uh.. What's your locker number?" He asked her, stuttering a bit. Why was he acting like this around her?.. He thought to himself.

"Um I'm Emily nice to meet you Blake." She said as she pulled out her map again of where her locker is. "Um my locker is right here." She siad as she pointed at it on the map while trying to not drop her books. But when he made a comment on her arm she tensed a little. "Uh I uh fell in broken glass and had to get stitches." She said which was most of the truth but she left out it was her father the had punched her causing her to fall into the glass. "It's ok though the doctors have already seen it I'm f-fine really." She said rubbing over her forhead when she got the bandage making sure that it was staying on.

He looked at her forehead and noticed the bandage. "Clumsy much?..Hey.. Your locker is right next to mine.." He chuckled. "Well that's a coincidence, here let me carry your books." He gently took them from her hand and guided her to her locker that was next to his. "22, 30, and 10" He said quietly to himself as he opened his empty locker, putting his stuff away he grabbed his stuff for social studies and handed her back her stuff. "What's your 1st hour?" He asked as he looked at her schedule and took another sip of his coffee. His glasses were almost to the tip of his nose and apparent girls would fall for that, he didn't know why but it just did.
