100.000 Infantries for the rest of the navy?
I would also like input from people regarding what their thoughts are on the troops and forces under our command, so far my thoughts have developed more but is not perfect, I am currently at the following assets:
1 Lunar class cruiser
6 Imperial Navy escorts
2 Adeptus Mechanicus quality escorts
5 heavy transports
70,000 stormtroopers
20,000 Skitarii
25,000 combat servitors
So, any thoughts?
“Enemies of the Imperium, hear me. You have come here to die. The Immortal Emperor is with us and we are invincible. His soldiers will strike you down. His war machines will crush you under their treads. His mighty guns will bring the very sky crashing down upon you. You cannot win. The Emperor has given us his greatest weapon to wield. So make yourselves ready. We are the Imperial Guard, and your doom is upon you. "

Stormtroopers will be spread throughout the fleet and employed as ground troops, I am thinking granting RPG 1 regiment (10,000 men) as his personnel force to maintain order aboard the ships as well as to repel boarders, plus I will be keeping my own honor guard regiment aboard my cruiser at all times. I just now realized we should probably start working a bit on specific command authority over troops. Like RPG will be given a slightly smaller force than you Koka I think since his primary command duty will be shipboard order and combat while you will be commanding troops on the ground.

Well, the skitarii would be on board their 2 escorts along with their servitors, right?
So, it's 70.000 stormtroopers spread in 12 ships. I would say I got 5000-8000 on my command and RPG would have 5000 on his?
'kay, I guess that would work.
I am not sticking them all under you two, I will have forces directly under my control in fact the cruiser will always hold my honor guard regiment, OiHarkin will also have troops under his control. The Skitarii will be mostly on one of the Adeptus Mechanicus ships as one is an explorator vessel nominally under my command and the other was traded for and crewed mostly by people under my command.

So, 70,000 stormtroopers divided in 13 ships? Wouldn't you say they'll have their hands full most of the time?
I doubt that Quirin will have any command over any troops, I more envision him as sulking about and providing support wherever he is needed rather than having command over anything.
Don't forget your ship's standard armsmen for internal policing and affairs. That ought to free up stormtroopers for more important ops.
Indeed Hagazussa he is not likely to be given his own detachment of soldiers in the foreseeable future.
A Lunar class cruiser has a crew of 95,000 while sword frigates have a crew of 26,000, and around 20,000 crewmen per transport would mean around 400,000 crewmen throughout the ships, I think 70,000 crack soldiers could handle that, though the question I guess is handling that and also providing enough force on a planetary surface as well. I am thinking of employing the stormtroopers as armsmen like in several 40k novels to makes things a bit easier and also would help logistically as all men under arms would follow the same patterns.

Yeah Quirin first of all have no skill to lead anyone and also he is really to psychologically damaged to do so, he will do anything for the Rouge Trader but he do much better by being told what to do then to actually give orders himself.
