Hey Bio are our characters stuck with the skills they start with or will they gain more as time goes on?

I was thinking you just have a standard list of abilities from the start, but during the adventure you learn new abilities (that also fit your style of course). There are sooo many abilities; melee, magic, shotlocks, command styles and of course the bonus abilities.

Yes, just like you would expect. You won't get the ability suddenly when opening a door, but when fighting a boss or a big group of heartless or anything like that. You can gain the new ability when things are getting too hard or just when already killed a boss. That's all okay with me, but not by opening chest or gaining three abilities in one time and similar things.

Also I might invite someone to join later on, to play as Joshua's missing childhood friend. Will that be an issue? I probably won't invite her until we're about two worlds in though

No I love background stories and also the idea that a keyblade wielder has gunblade abilities (something new in the to test/introduce)

I wonder if he needs the synch blade ability to weild them both... nah, though he would need it if he got another keyblade, though if they would happen or even be allowed is debateable
