Well, with the ship being named "Polaris" wouldn't the best name for the VI being something related to stars or the heavens? In keeping with this theme; I rather like "Celeste".

VI/AI names are usually short, but also unusual, as it should be easy to call upon them, but also not to accidently request them when talking to another crew members, hence no 'John' etc (particularly as that example is also the Captain's name)
Hence why Eira would be a good choice, four letters and unlikely to be shared by a crew member.

Well an AI might have a very formal, scientific name which acronyms into their casual name, like EDI or HAL.
Eira it is. Never really thought about a name for the VI until now. To used to smaller versions you have in armor or Biotic amps that don't need names. Though I did like Celeste. I might save that for later. :J
As for the AI problem, not having a blue box and thus not having the processing power to hack and bypass systems sounds plausible. To not make the organic techs in our team suddenly useless.
Otherwise the character looks fine, I guess you don't need to stat the obvious fact he is wearing a suit. I just hope it at least has Kinetic barriers transmitters built in just in case. :P
Anyway i'm adding it to the cast and you can post IC.
