Post Apocalypse/Military Roleplay OOC

Here's the OOC for the post-apocalypse roleplay. We decided on an astronomical event for the cause of the apocalypse, particularly a series of meteor showers, enough to decimate much of the globe. We'll be playing as members of the U.S. Military or others dragged along by them, and we're restoring order to American cities one at a time. The first city we're starting with is Boston, Massachussetts.

Job Scope: Command the "Phoenix Unit" in their operations to restore order to American cities.

Combat Experience: Extensive.

Personality Report: Selected for his willingness to do whatever's necessary to get the job done, as well as for his unwaivering patriotism, ability to take charge, and dedication to following orders.

Background: The Colbourne's have been in the military since the American Civil War, it's been a tradition of theirs to join some branch of the service and do their patriotic duty. Colbournes have fought in every major conflict the United States has entered. Jacob Colbourne served during the War on Terror in Afghanistan and made a name for himself there, earning the Congressional Medal of Honor. Several promotions later he found himself a Captain in the armed forces. What's left of Congress has given him the authority to conscript citizens or any others living inside of the cities they visit in their tour.

Current Status: Ready for action, and angry at some of the chaos he's seen ensuing after the fallout of the meteor-showers.

Physical description: 6 feet two inches tall, buzzed red hair, green eyes, strong jaw. Overall built strong, broad-shouldered, and intimidating. Wears a near constant scowl, never seems to smile.

History: Transferred to the states from his Canadian forces posting to train and take part of the SEAL / BUD Training. Then the events at the beginning forces him out on his own amidst the chaos.

Personality: Very quiet, Rarely speaks. He usually lets his actions show his feelings.

Weaknesses: is not a people person. (exemptions to military personal)

Job Scope: Helps to maintain the health of a fourty-man Marine Corps infantry platoon.

Combat Experience: Experienced sporadic combat in all three of his deployments in Afghanistan.

Personality: Although he can be mature and focused when the situation demands it, Pleasants generally strikes people as a fairly laid-back and light-hearted guy. He enjoys watching action and comedy movies with his friends and can often be found poking fun at people, running long distances, reading good books, and listening to chill music.

Appearance: Tall, lanky, wiry build. Sandy-brown hair, all mussed up. Tanned skin, light grey eyes. A shit-eating grin is often plastered on his face. Wears the standard-issue MARPAT camouflage uniform with coyote brown MTV body armor and no-shine boots. Tactical gloves, bought with his own paycheck. Kevlar helmet with tactical goggles strapped around. A ballpoint pen and a plastic kazoo are clipped to the goggle's headband. Camelback-type water carrier on back. Wears a Corpsman-type assault pack, along with several other satchels filled with supplies. A loosely-wrapped olive drab shemagh is around his neck. Tends to wear his sleeves rolled to the elbow.

Weaponry: 1x KA-BAR fighting knife, 1x M4A1 carbine, 1x M9 service pistol, 2x fragmentation grenades, 2x smoke grenades

Background: Coming from a well-to-do Southern household, Pleasants was the first in his family to serve in the military. His childhood and adolescent years were fairly mundane, and by his senior year of high school Pleasants was itching to go do something, be a part of something bigger than himself, and so on. Flipping burgers at his local McDonald's just wasn't cutting it. Although he initially desired a USMC grunt MOS, after Pleasants found he scored high on a high school ASVAB test he changed his mind, deciding to instead enlist as a Corpsman for Marine Corps line infantry. Ever since then, the going's been tougher than he expected, but Pleasants somehow manages to make the most of it - one day at a time.

Occupation: Un-employed - Recently resigned from Boston Medical Hospital Ambulance Paramedic for unsaid reasons.

Combat Experience: None....

Personality Report: Allison was one of the most respected and caring members of the Hospital's first response team. She was always cautious and careful. A bit of a worrier but that made her prepared for most situations always putting herself ahead of others. She takes loss of life to the heart which is why I believe she retired from the position after the Collapsed tunnel Incident near the Science Museum.

((News would have reported nation wide on the big dig tunnels collapsing on December 15th, 2011. A paramedic would have gone in with an ambulance to try and save people in the rubble but sadly half the lives were lost in the mile road collapse. ))

Background: Allison was the daughter to an upper class Italian family known as House of Savoy. They use to own most of the Island of Sicily before WWII. Right after WWII ended the family was exiled for funding The Axis powers. In 2003 the families related to Savoy were allowed to move back but Allison refused staying inside of Boston Massachusetts and finishing Boston University Medical School. Once she graduated she took over her internship position and became a permanent full time Ambulance Paramedic. Her social life was not much she use to be a cheerleader in High school and college but she would never seem to accept dates with anyone. She did have some dates a few in high school and one in college. She sadly seems to fit in with the more nerdy side of things from super heroes to dungeons and dragons. She was a huge fan of Karaoke and clubs but those seem to be the only places open after her 2 am shift.

Current Status: working as a waitress in the local bar.

Personality Report: He has a very dark humor making fun or joking in the most darkest of situations he is probably the frist person to go to if you want to hear rants about british people too.He takes the apocalypse as a slight joke showing the "hilarious" humor god has.

Background: Born in Belfast, Ireland just near the start of the trouble to a large catholic family always being influenced by his father who was a veteran of the IRA's border campaign he was brought up to believe that ireland has to be united for there to be peace. So at the age of 16 he ran away and join up with a cell of the IRA operating in belfast he quickly rose through the ranks showing off his skill for a urban and guerilla warfare strategist.When the good friday agreement was signed he fled to america fearing that when the IRA's disarmament the british wouldn't be so kind as to pardon him for his crimes eventually making his way to boston patrick got abouts to re-starting his life when the meteors hit pat had already made a decent living by runnign a small pub on the west end soon after it went all to hell he offered his knowledge of urban warfare to the United states army who were in dire need of more specialists in the field and almost instantly they plunked him down with the Pheonix unit

Current Status:Ready and willing to help retake the US aslong as there is something in it for him

Physical description:About 5ft 11 inchs average build he has messy unket dark orange hair and a beard that covers most of his face he is slightly above average in ways of strength and can pull his own weight and a little more if needed to he has several scars on his face mostly from crawling under barbed wire or from bar fights.
