“There are manual controls…we just never got around to installing them yet…” Walking towards the elevator, she choked on her own breath when he mentioned the rarity of the rifle in question, “Wow, how much you think its worth on the open market? To collectors?” Seeing how it kind of matched Gamma himself, and how proud he sounded talking about it… “Errr…you can keep it, if you like it that much.”

"Well, considering there are exactly three... er, four of them, quite a bit." He said, remembering that he did indeed just find another one. "In any event, let us get those controls installed!" He said as he attempted to access the elavator. "Ah yes, it would appear that I do not have access... despite already being down here. care to open this?" He asked Modesta.

“Oh…oh, yeah! Sorry, give me just a second—ha!” After pulling out her key card, she assessed the elevator and waited a moment, before it opened up and allowed her in, “Well, since you insist on sticking to me like glue, maybe we should get you your own set of fancy key cards…you know, most people preferred to get chipped, so non-AI machines can detect their intent and make things faster for them…but you know, taking my time and having something to hold onto, I think it has to be better than a chip under a person’s skin.” The elevator arrived in the garage, and Moe motioned Gamma forward, surveying the garage for the hovercar manual control modification parts. She vaguely remembered them being in a box somewhere around here.

"Well, in all honesty I could have merely hacked it open, but I prefer to follow the rules when at all possible." Gamma said. "I Doubt a chip would function with me, all my various systems would likely provide interference of some kind." He watched Modesta search for the parts for a while. "Perhaps you should try the parcel marked 'hovercar manual control modification parts' over there." He said as he gestured to a box waaaaay off to the left.

Modesta face palmed with an audiable slap. Well, to her defence, she was starting on the right working her way to the left, but no bother saying this as it'd come off as a lame excuse. Going over to the box and setting it on the nearest work bench, she took out a knife to cut through thick layers of packing tape, reaching in through hundreds of packing peanuts and pulling out some instructions. The instructions were in some Asian language, but she did remember that the product in question was advertised as easy to install and use. Well...for the price she paid, it better be. Reaching in further through the packing peanuts, she felt the end of the device...and was a bit pissed that it wasn't bubble wrapped. What if it had been damaged during packing and deliver?! Pulling it out from underneath all the packing materials...and froze at what she saw. Moe had been ripped off. Instead of the expected wheel and wiring attached to it, there was just this controller from an antique gaming system (either an xbox or playstation controller) with a hovercar cable roughly modified on.

There was a sharp cry of anguish resounding in that basement garage. The woman in all her torment shook her fists in the air as if to curse whatever god had failed to watch over her, before bringing them down onto the workbench like she herself had become the wrathful deity. Why? Why had fate conspired against her once more? Swiping her hand over the bench's rough surface, she shoved everything off and fall onto her knees, bringing her head into her hands, "NOOOOOOOOOO!"

"That is an input device such as a remote, right? I can most likely wire it up to the vehicle and do quite a bit of programming you couldn't possibly understand. Which would result in a vehicle we could manually pilot. You won't look very dignified though." Gamma said. His... 'partner' had quite the dramatic streak to be sure. "Soooo... I shall get started posthaste." Gamma said as he picked up the equipment and started towards the vehicle. he of course began readying his trusty cables.

“You…you can get it to work?!” Moe recovered instantly, and sat down to watch Gamma install it. It was centuries old technology, and she had only ever driven using a wheel, it’d be way impressive if he really could get it to work…drive it around this way, Modesta driving that way. “How do you know all this stuff?”

"Well, I am improvising now... but apparently I was designed for infiltration, specifically, so I have an enormous amount of data on computer programming, thus I am an excellent hacker, coupled with the fact that my brain works much faster than yours does. Basically, I am the master of most advanced technology." Gamma said as he worked with the wires a bit. "However, with things such as this," He pulled out his lance again, and immediately returned it. "There is no data on fighting with weapons such as that." Gamma said, and after about a minute of fiddling around with the engine, he continued. "Technology has not changed all that much in the world of computers, to be honest. The only thing that has changed is that we can now pack more data into smaller spaces, thus this old toy here can actually be used, once I get my repair tools to fix the corroded materials that is." another cable extended, this time bearing nanites that sunk into the inner areas of the controller. "In about five minutes, This should be done." He said as he set to work replacing a fair amount of interior paneling.

Moe jumped a bit when he transformed his arm to and fro lance form, “You shouldn’t do that here, where Kyle might see you!” Indeed, it was possible since Malloy was working on all the vehicles stored in the garage. It was weird that he was here at all, back so early…well, not too weird, Modesta just accidentally burned her personal base maintenance schedule. So…she didn’t exactly know when it was his or her turn to work around and fix things in the building or not.

"He knows." Gamma said simply. "Besides, even if he didn't, How would he know the power lance is not my one augment." The human body could only take so much foreign material before rejection, so all but the sturdiest of humans had only one augment/prosthetic. That was where Gamma's true power lied, the ability to have any augment he can scan, and to use most of them all at the same time.
