What was left unsaid was the rocky terrain their relationship had been on lately.
Vito climbed into the bed and pat the side beside him. "I'm sorry my love," he whispered, rubbing his face with exhaustion. "Come lay down with me, our new pups will share the bed with us," he suggested as the puppies jumped into the bed and curled up at the foot of the bed.

"Right here my friend," Ludwig said with a smile, catching his adviser by the shoulder. The two climbed into the carriage and rode in silence until they reached the home that they were occupying for the season.
All falls quiet, and the sun rises once again over the King's Court
King Vito
The king opened his eyes, disappointed to find that it had begun to rain during the night hours. He was much like he had been last night, holding his wife close with the hounds laying at his feet. The room was dark, and Vito sat up, leaning far over to light a series of candles on the nightstand beside his bed.
His wife was still asleep, so he wouldn't dare wake her. Instead, Vito simply got out of the bed and started for the powder room.
Prince Ludwig
'I shall tell a servant to tell Ulric where I have gone... but I cannot stand this anymore...' Ludwig thought as he dressed himself. He hadn't slept very much at all the night before, and as he combed through his dark hair, he had to think of Angelique. He had to see her! He passed by a servant and caught the man.
"Tell Ulric, my adviser, that I have gone to the theater. Also let him know that I will be back either tonight or tomorrow morning, depending on how the day goes. Now, I have a question," Ludwig explained, looking at the man. The servant nodded and listened intently.
"Where is the Princess of France staying?" Ludwig asked, waiting for an answer.
