    OOC

"It's summer and we finally graduated! It's our last summer together, and we have planned this since we were freshmen! The big trip around the world. Some of us has worked and saved up for years... and some... let's say have it good...I'm not jealous. But I digress, this will be the best thing to happen to us! I just hope it goes smoothly..."

The Trip (I'll update as we go)

    1. Paris, France
    2. Barcelona, Spain
    3.Rome, Italy

    The Rules!

Well of course the forum rules apply.

So posting speed, I would like it if you wait for at least like 2 post before you post again. But I'm sure you get the grove when we get in to it. I just don't want it to be back and forth between two people.

Be nice to everyon and include people and so forth.

When it comes to spelling and grammar I'm really lenient, I mean english is my second language so I'm no expert but do try to proof read and fix things. Oh and please try to make it at least 2 paragraphs.

    The Group
(There's 0 spots open, for now.)
    - Shawn Brenton
    - Zac Michaels
    - Amy Hall
    - Scott Johnsson
    - Marko Ramius
    - Cheyenne Salvatore
    - Perry Stevens

When we have gotten in to the RP, I will probably open some spots up for people we meet on the way, either locals or other backpackers! There is still hope!

Marko woke up he had slept in the clothes he was going to wear on the plane. He rubbed his eyes, he shouldn't have stayed up so late last night it's not good for your eyes. His room was dimly lit as the black curtains blocked out most sunlight, he grabbed the sunglasses that lay on his bedside table and put them on. He had packed his suitcase the night before and left it beside his bed, he picked this up over his shoulder and went into the kitchen. His parents were out for the week so Marko was in by himself. He went into the kitchen and made some bacon and coffee before walking through to the living room and turning on the TV.

He sat for around 30 minutes before his old and battered phone started ringing. It was a text from Shawn, he trusted Shawn he was like a leader. Like Lenin! Or not... He read the text before looking at the time it was sent. 15 minutes ago...at 12:25. One word floated around Marko's head and that word he said out loud "Fuck". He ran into his room again knocking the plate and coffee he balanced on his lap to the floor. He grabbed the credit cards that lay on the bedside table along with his passport and ID. He grabbed his suitcase and ran into the garage and almost leaped onto his bike. He cycled as hard as he could he passed slow moving cars like a whiz and before he knew it he was at the airport.

    (I'm gonna presume Shawn's there)

He leaped off of his bike and through the door to the airport holding his suitcase in one hand and the various other things in the other. He started running after he leaped and skidded into the airport, breathless. He stood hands on his knees panting and sweating. He looked up to see Shawn a few steps away. He walked up to him "Hi *huff* Shawn"

Scott opened his eyes instantly. He immediately started to smile. Today is the day.
The day that he will travel out in the world for the first time, with his friends.
His college buddies. It was with them he had planned out the whole trip.
Instead of picking up the iPhone and pressing snooze, like he always did, he turned it off.
He didn't have time to sleep. He got up, and grabbed his clothes.
Black jeans, white shirt, dark green button up shirt, and of course, his Ray Ban Aviators. Scott packed all of his stuff yesterday.
A big suit case with neatly folded clothes, and a backpack, containing a camera, various snacks, and his two other sunglasses.
He also brought his guitar. There's no way that he's leaving it behind.
He ran down the stairs, and into the kitchen. He grabbed a Snickers bar, and continued to the hallway.
He put on his shoes, and opened the door. "Good bye mom!" he yelled, before closing the door behind him and rushing to the elevator.
He ran out of the building and grabbed his bike. 15 minutes later, he rushed into the airport. -Sup guys?

Cheyenne looks carefully over her packing list for what seems like the 100th time. A few pairs of jeans, perfect for extended travel. A nice dress, for any possible formal occasions. A few fun options, perfect for a summer of breaking inhibitions. Wistfully, she lifts a skirt and top that she is embarrassed to own. A nostalgic giggle escapes her as she thinks of the shopping trip where Perry practically forced her to buy it. While she can't imagine when she would wear it, she buries it in her bag, underneath her other clothes.

She is jarred from her quiet pondering by a knock at the door. "Sweetie, we'd best get going," her father says in his gravelly voice.

Grabbing her bags, she heads downstairs and puts them in the trunk. She hugs her brother and mom goodbye before climbing into the passenger seat. It's a quiet ride to the airport, as she watches the familiar scenery fly past. They promptly arrive at 12:30, and after a succinct but heartfelt goodbye, Cheyenne was left alone at the airport. Butterflies fluttering away in her stomach, she walks into the international terminal. As she approaches the desk and sees Marko, Scott and (most importantly) Shawn, her smile brightens and the butterflies go into overload. "Hey everyone! Who's excited?!"

Marko unraveled the deck of cards from his T-shirt. "if excited means hoping to get some sleep on the plane then yeah i am pretty excited!" He joked grinning. He took the cards out of their small box and started shuffling them he done this when he was either nervous or bored. Right now he was both he hadn't been on a plane many times.

He adjusted his sunglasses so his tired eyes could definitely not be seen. He got his hair back into the messy style it was he hadn't had time to adjust it since he had to leave so quickly. It had now gone from bedhead to messy which was an impressive step up in some ways. He had just realized he had no idea where they were going first and so he asked. "So what is our first destination, friendos?" his voice was low and heavy in accent as usual this time it sounded a bit worn out though.

    Shawn
sat in the backseat of his family car, seeing as he had sold his own car to have the money for this trio he had to rely on his dad to take him to the airport. Thoughts where swirling around in his head. “Did I pack everything?” Shawn thought while screwed up his face in concentration “Ticket, check! Travel documents, check! Wallet with all my money and credit cards, check!” as he thought this he tapped all the places he had put these things. He leaned his head back and let out a sigh, he even fell asleep. Shawn had been up at 4 am re-packing his bag making sure everything was there.

After what felt like 2 seconds to Shawn they were at the airport and he was being shaken awake by his mother who smiled at him. “I’m going to miss having to do that.” She cooed at him. Shawn stared at her and then grinned. “I’ll be coming back at the end of the summer, it’s not like I’m moving like Peter (his brother).

His dad helped him to put his bag on the trolley and after a teary eyed goodbye from his mother and a stony hug from his father. He was finally on his own. Taking a deep breath he strolled of to the entrance. He started to count the rows of check in counters. “24, 35 aaand 26” he muttered to himself and skidded to a halt. He checked his watch 12:37, he yawned and sat down on his bag and leaned back a bit to get comfortable. After a while he heard a familiar voice huffing behind him.

    “Hi… Shawn.”

    Marko
said standing in front of him trying to catch his breath. “Marko! Why so sweaty?” Shawn smiled and stood up. “Damn dude did you bike here?” Shawn let out a scoff of disbelief. Must be in his Russian blood, Shawn thought and shook his head. After a while both Scott and Cheyenne had shown up and Shawn nodded at Scott and went to give Cheyenne a hug. “Hell yeah I’m excited! We’ve been planning this since sophomore year, and it’s finally happening!”

Shawn raised an eyebrow of surprise as Marko asked where they were heading first, he had been to all the planning meetings and he was with them as they booked the tickets. Though sometimes he just seemed to be there because he had nowhere else to be, sitting there playing with a deck of cards. “Dude, you know we’re heading to Paris first… you do have your booking confirmation with you right?” Shawn said getting a bit nervous knowing that not everyone was as pedantic as he was.

Perry sat up in bed, her eyes still closed as she fumbled around the bed for her phone. The high pitched noise emitting from the phone almost echoed in her small room and she peeked through one eye, looking down at the screen and turning the alarm off. She sighed and dropped it on the bed again, stretching as she yawned. She heard from the other room, the alarm that her father set for himself. Both alarms were set at the same time but, Perry's alarm was a minute faster than her fathers old alarm clock. She swung her legs out of her bed and rubbed her face, before running her fingers through her rat's nest of hair and she sighed and got up, headed for the bathroom. She brushed her teeth, and her hair and washed her face quickly. A loud knock on the door startled her and she laughed at herself.
"Hurry up miss thang," Her fathers voice sounded gruffly from behind the door. She dried her face and opened the door, a bright smile on her face for her father who only half-heartedly smiled back. They switched places and Perry skipped to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. The clock on the wall read 9:30, a little late but when Perry and her father had a chance to sleep in they took full advantage of it. Perry started some bacon and while the pan heated she mixed up some pancakes. While those cooked she started eggs, which usually cooked faster than anything else. As usual, as soon as Perry put her fathers loaded plate on the table he stepped out of the bathroom and shuffled to the table. The two ate quietly, as always and didn't speak until after the food had been devoured.
"Are you all packed?" He asked, leaning back in his chair.
"Yep, all ready to go," Perry smiled. Her dad nodded then stood and began to clean up the dishes. Perry patted her tummy thoughtfully, and got up headed for the bathroom again. She floated through a shower, taking care with her latest tattoo, and got out, drawing in the condensation on the mirror before starting her getting ready routine. She dressed in a pair of tight blue jeans, and a white tank top. Once she dried her hair she took her lotion and rubbed it over the new tattoo carefully, enjoying the brief relief from the itching. She then put on a bunch of gold bands, ten on each wrist and a small golden chain around her neck. Her make-up routine was the same as always, the only time it changed was when she was going out to party in which the look became a sexy smolder in which no man could resist the temptation. She laughed at herself as she made faces in the mirror and grabbed her bag headed for her bedroom. By now it was nearly eleven-thirty, and she dropped her bag of toiletries into her bigger bag and zipped it shut. She turned to her bed and began to make it, her OCD kicking in since she had nothing else to do.
"Perry?" Her father stood at her door, watching her pick up her pillows and put them on the bed.
"Yes dad?" She said smiling at him.
"How's your tattoo doing?" He asked.
"Good," Perry lifted her arm and showed him the new bright red rose on the underside of her upper arm. Her father examined it closely, looking for signs of infection even though he knew that there weren't going to be any. Both Perry and her father went to the same tattoo artist, a close friend of the family who did tattoo's for a discount to those who he cared about. Every tattoo on Perry's arms had been done by him, the entire sleeve and the entire half sleeve of the other arm. Perry loved her tattoos and felt sad when people misunderstood her just because of them. Her father let her arm go and smiled at her.
"Ready to go?" He asked. Perry nodded and turned to pick up her bag and then frowned because her phone wasn't in her pocket. She bent down and ran her hand under her bed, finding her phone and glanced at the screen.

Once they arrived at the airport, Perry said a quick good-bye to her father, with a kiss and a hug and she hurried out headed for the gate. She looked for the numbers that Shawn had sent in the text and searched for her friends. She saw Marko, Cheyenne, and Shawn and hurried over.
"Hey guys!" She smiled at them all and dropped her bag at her feet.

Scott could see Shawn's change of facial expression, and started to laugh.
-Don't worry man, Marko's just tired. He's nervous too! He's playing with his cards again! Anyways, I'm pretty damn excited as well! We've been talking about this for so long, and it's finally happening!
As he was speaking, he saw a familiar face coming around the corner. "Hey guys!"
-Hello Perry! How 'bout a hug? He said with a big, fake smile. He loved teasing Perry. Especially since he knew she didn't like it most of the times.
Scott was not sure if she would take it as a joke this time, because she was in such a happy mood. He couldn't blame her though, everybody was

The morning had gone, rather surprisingly, without a hitch. There were a few times when Zac had been on the verge of completely losing it, thinking he had misplaced something important, only to find one of his siblings standing across the room with whatever it was hanging between their fingers. His older sister, Ellie, had even been kind enough to make the entire family, save their parents who had already left for work, breakfast. It was probably for the best that she had done it voluntarily, seeing as everyone else in the family didn’t have a shred of skill when it came to cooking in their body. The only bad thing that happened was Erin and Erica deciding that they needed to tag along to the airport, meaning Zac was stuck between them for the entire ride. Now, the middle child of the Michaels family loved his younger sisters, but they were fourteen year old teenage girls. Needless to say, they could be incredibly annoying when they wanted to be.

The car ride to the airport was filled with bickering from the back seat for almost the entire ride there. That ended about five minutes away from the destination when Caleb, the oldest and least tolerant of his younger sibling’s arguing, turned the radio up so loud that no one could hear themselves think. That was one way to solve the problem. The rest of the ride was spent in silence, or rather no one talked. The radio was as loud as ever.

When the group finally arrived at the airport, the goodbyes were anything but emotional. Zac received nonchalant waves and quiet goodbyes from his younger sisters. His older siblings on the other hand, offered some last minute, pretty obvious advice, that he couldn’t help but smile at. He had always preferred spending time with Caleb and Ellie to spending time with Erin and Erica. As his family pulled away, Zac checked his phone, realizing that even though everything had gone smoothly this morning, he was still a few minutes late. He let out a silent sigh. It seemed like he was doomed to be always late, even if it was just by a few minutes. Deciding that there was nothing to do about it now, he put a smile back on his face and walked into the airport.

It didn’t take that long to find his group of friends, and by the time he did he was filled to the brim with excitement. “Hey guys,” he said with a good bit of enthusiasm. Zac did one last mental check to make sure he had everything and much to his liking he did. No doubt the others would be more than upset if he had forgotten anything. His happiness was clearly evident on his face, even more so than it normally would have been.
I needed to change my signature. So I did. Wasn't that a fantastic story?

"Hello Perry! How 'bout a hug?" Scott asked her. He had one of his big fake smiles on his face and she smiled back at him sweetly.
"Raincheck," She said with an equally fake smile and turned to everyone else. That kid made her crazy sometimes, but she knew he was just a joking guy. He liked to tease her and she hated it so it made him like it more. Even though she hated his endless teasing she couldn't really imagine the last couple of years without him there, she enjoyed his easy jokes, when they weren't at her expense, and he always carried a happy air about him.
"I am so excited I can hardly contain myself," She said nearly bouncing up and down. She turned as Zac joined them, and smiled at him, it seemed the only one missing was Amy. Where was that girl? There was no way Perry was going to a country where they could legally drink without Amy. Of course she could always drink with someone else, but that was a bad idea, her drunk with that certain someone was a definite bad idea. She would enjoy it, but the next morning would probably not go over very well. She sighed to herself and shook away those thoughts again, it happened about ten times daily. They were usually followed by thoughts that convinced her that it was a bad idea anyway. He was just too different, and not like any guy she could imagine herself with, but she was a little weak when it came to that smile.
"I'm going to pee," She said suddenly and marched away towards the ladies room. She didn't really have to pee, she just needed to put a filter on her thoughts so she leaned against the counter in the bathroom, her arms crossed over her chest and her eyes glued to a dirt smudge on the white tiled floors.
