Shawn sat in the backseat of his family car, seeing as he had sold his own car to have the money for this trio he had to rely on his dad to take him to the airport. Thoughts where swirling around in his head. “Did I pack everything?”
Shawn thought while screwed up his face in concentration “Ticket, check! Travel documents, check! Wallet with all my money and credit cards, check!” as he thought this he tapped all the places he had put these things. He leaned his head back and let out a sigh, he even fell asleep. Shawn had been up at 4 am re-packing his bag making sure everything was there.
After what felt like 2 seconds to
Shawn they were at the airport and he was being shaken awake by his mother who smiled at him. “I’m going to miss having to do that.” She cooed at him.
Shawn stared at her and then grinned. “I’ll be coming back at the end of the summer, it’s not like I’m moving like Peter (his brother).
His dad helped him to put his bag on the trolley and after a teary eyed goodbye from his mother and a stony hug from his father. He was finally on his own. Taking a deep breath he strolled of to the entrance. He started to count the rows of check in counters. “24, 35 aaand 26” he muttered to himself and skidded to a halt. He checked his watch 12:37, he yawned and sat down on his bag and leaned back a bit to get comfortable. After a while he heard a familiar voice huffing behind him.
“Hi…
Shawn.”
Marko said standing in front of him trying to catch his breath. “
Marko! Why so sweaty?”
Shawn smiled and stood up. “Damn dude did you bike here?”
Shawn let out a scoff of disbelief. Must be in his Russian blood,
Shawn thought and shook his head. After a while both
Scott and
Cheyenne had shown up and
Shawn nodded at
Scott and went to give
Cheyenne a hug. “Hell yeah I’m excited! We’ve been planning this since sophomore year, and it’s finally happening!”
Shawn raised an eyebrow of surprise as
Marko asked where they were heading first, he had been to all the planning meetings and he was with them as they booked the tickets. Though sometimes he just seemed to be there because he had nowhere else to be, sitting there playing with a deck of cards. “Dude, you know we’re heading to Paris first… you do have your booking confirmation with you right?”
Shawn said getting a bit nervous knowing that not everyone was as pedantic as he was.
