But speaking of symbols... you said that we could take part in creating some of the lore of our nation. Does that mean that we will have the creative authority to create things such as flags, ceremonies, and even languages for our nations?

Yes, yes it does. Except for the languages, of course. Everyone will be able to speak Ayrethi, the main language of the Pontetate, though every Kingdom will also have its own language (though i'd imagine Borkstvo would still be speaking Nordic).

But do not fear- Once the RP starts, I will be making a wiki for us to store all of our lore on.

Dark Man it seems you've put me down as a jarl instead of the chief of Ravenkrak. Not that any one role is better than another but Ravenkrak is a badass name for a badass Nord such as myself.

I have an important question. Do dragons exist and what is their relation to humans?

@KnaveLord: Woops! Sorry about that. I fixed it.
@Lord Monbodo: Dragons exist in legends, but i'm not sure if I want them to exist in this RP. If you were to PM me, we could discuss your ideas without revealing any surprises to the other players, if you would like.

    Gaaaahhh I can't pick.

I'll let OP decide where I'm needed most, but I'm happy to be any of the following:

First Citizen of Estradee, King of Borkstvo, Duke of Dovurak, Duke of Gallice, Arch-Canon of the Inquisition, Earl of Karchent.

I'd also be down for a couple of other positions not listed:

The leader of a mercenary company, who could join any of the players.

The head of a small ethnic revolt, trying to found a new country.

The head of a nomadic, gypsy like people, caught in the crossfire.

Awesome! Can I reserve the position as the Grand Inquisitor of Borkstvo: Head of the Inquisition in Borkstvo. I have grand ideas for a Blood Mary type of character (just plenty of public burnings, trials for heresy, abuse of religious powers lol) I do have a few questions:

    1. Is the clergy gender biased? I know from the initial write up you alluded that it isn't but just wanted a definite.
    2. Do the Grand Inquisitors have their own men? I know probably not to the scale of the Arch-Canon, but it would seem plausible that due to the position there would be at least a few Purgators as bodyguards or personal attache to do the will of the clergy in their perspective Kingdoms
    3. What sort of powers does the clergy get? If the Mages are slinging fire and ice, just wanted to know if there was something of equal power or like a dispel/ward kind of power to fend against that. Also, is the "God" active or are we hiding some Angels and Demon type secrets about where our power comes from

Sorry so many questions at once. This looks amazing and my mind is already developing a character.

Oh man there's a lot to respond to haha

@Rocket: I will not decide for you. But of course, you can make more than one character, so long as you can keep up with them. All of those possibilities sound quite wonderful, and look forward to seeing what you do.
@WittyReference: I'm assuming you'd like to be reserved as Arch-Canon, your holiness?
@The Georgian: Woo! Reserved. That right there is exactly what Inquisitors do best.
    1. No. I have, in a few places, implied that none of this is gender based. Sorry for the confusion; it's a pain in the ass to write he/she all the time haha.
2.Probably. I'll let that be up to you. But as Inquisitor, you can declare a form of martial law, so long as the bishop backs you up, so you can surely hijack a proper military force.
    3. As stated before, magic is completely illegal in the Pontetate Empire. However, the Church's most loyal and useful servants are allowed to learn magic, ONLY if they use it to purge heresy from the world. So an inquisitor could perhaps know magic. Magic, however, is handled a bit differently. instead of "casting spells", one must focus with enough willpower to use their spirit as a weapon. I wont go into much detail now, but mages can effectively use this to make your heart explode, catch you on fire, fabricate a lighting bolt, summon a spirit or demon from beyond, or in most cases, just increase their physical capabilities. Mages and sorcerers are considered extremely dangerous forms of heretics because of this, considering that when they're not thinking you to death they're killing their enemies with their bare hands. But anyways! Those of the inquisition can have similar powers to those listed above... though they would have a close eye kept on them.
