Last I checked, the Northmen were all about honor But they still use them. As does every sensible person.

Perhaps. Common soldier, a leader of a Laodecic company, or perhaps a leader of a freelance company.

Perhaps the leader of a freelance mercenary company to start, and joining the Laodecia mercs later on in order to solidify his company into some system or another to give them a sense of quarter and security.

Laodecia doesnt work like that. They train their men from a very very young age, which is why they are so elite. Your freelance ilk wouldnt be accepted there.

Oh this seems like an nice concept and pretty much what I've been looking for. Ok, so I was thinking of asking to reserve one of the Mage councilors, but I was also tempted to pitch some kind of self-described 'second son of god' character who builds up a following. Seemed like it would be really fun to play, but then I thought maybe those two could be combined to have one of the mages masquerading as a second son of god. Thoughts?
