I might crawl over there if that's alright xD I have actually had a few good battles. Best time I had in the game so far was at night, so many colorful lights as we surrounded a tower and just pounded the crap out of it with lightnings and prowlers before a ton of scythes showed up and started bombing us right back. I like chaos... order is fun and gets the job done, but chaos means a lot more esplody stuffs often.

Well, I feel kinda bad making people move, especially considering I'm not much higher level than you, but I suppose we had to pick someplace. :P

It's always interesting when a pub zerg manages to formulate an actual attack like that. The only thing is, they don't tend to leave many people behind to defend. Ownership of territory changes frequently here, but if I had to pick one faction out as the strongest, it'd probably be the TR, purely because of the Crown making them a bitch to attack, but it's pretty even.

I play mostly Engineer. It's a fun class, really flexible, you're always welcome, and it's great for getting fast XP.

Anyway, I can't actually run the game right now because my high-voltage charger broke and my laptop doesn't have the power it needs to get it through, but once the new one comes in I'll get on and start connecting with you people.

Alright. It's not really making me move lol, like I said I have been looking for somewhere to set down and get serious with a character. MY BR 9 is just like my test character, spamming the trial unlocks and seeing what weapons I like best. But, I still have some fps issues so I'm far from a great player.

Same. I've been meaning to try out the shotguns. Seems like if I'm going to be defending and capping indoor points a lot, it would be useful. But then I'm completely helpless when I'm out repairing things....

Cool. I'm still waiting on the cord for mine because I'm so ghetto I game on a laptop, but the January patch is supposed to include some performance enhancements, so perhaps I won't need it.

Lol I use a laptop too... but a "Plays World of Warcraft on 100+ fps" sort of laptop. Though I guess that isn't saying much, World of Warcraft isn't really heavy duty xD. I have some minor fps issues with Planetside but nothing terribly bad. Usually I can get at least 30+ fps but it gets a little scratchy during the BIG battles.

I had some people say lately that Planetside 2 in their opinion wasn't what they expected. I looked at their post on another site about how they had gotten the game and tried it, this is what they said in a nutshell:

I don't like that I have to run across the map just to get to a battle because I am always on a timer for the Instant Action and people always break the vehicle terminals.

Well... I don't know what server they play on lol, but people on my server so far have been more likely to FIX terminals than every break them. Not to mention you could just spawn back at the Warpgate anytime you want. Don't even think the terminals CAN be broken there.

Others said they get tired of "Following the zerg" and that there is never any order to a battle because everyone just takes a base and runs off to the next one.

Personally, I like that. It keeps the bases switching owners a lot unless an outfit gets together to defend a place. And I have seen some pretty great defenses, was part of a zerg that got hit pretty hard.

I don't know the name of the base or continent even, but it was a base on a hill. We busted down the gate and drove in killing and destroying anything in our path. This particular base was spread out along the side of a large hill, having trails INSIDE the base leading up and down. From there, we found another gate. On the other side of this gate was a very long and narrow path. You couldn't drive up the sides and falling down them would likely get you killed.

We started to move as one giant group up this hill, and suddenly... Scythe's everywhere. (We were Terran btw) About five of them came out and started hitting us with everything they had. Heavy Assaults charged down and I was at the lead in one of a few prowlers left. I got hit so hard by the initial attack of just a few shooting at me I had to bail out. I ran off to the side and hid in a little cut out of the mountain. I looked to the path and all I saw was light and smoke of bullets and missiles heading up the hill, mixed with the blue energy heading down. I would see a tank here and there, lightning or prowler try to roll by. And almost instantly it would be lit up by a dozen explosives send it barreling back down the hill in a heap of burnt metal.

This happened at night, and it was possibly the greatest time I have ever had in a video game.

I love zergs, and I love to be there when they fail. Not epic fail, as in being completely being wiped out... but to see an organized group go up against a zerg that is made up of so much force that it turns out as an even match? I love to see the outcome. Either we were going to bulldoze our way up that hill inch by inch and take the base at the top, or they were going to exhaust our forces until we had to pull back. Either way, it was one heck of a fight.
