Cause of Death: Xair died in a train accident. No more, no less. Death simply found his soul to be strongest of all within the wreck's casualties, and he was thrown into the Un-life of an Agent.
Personality: He was once very facetious and happy-go-lucky, but as he ranked higher within the Agency, he became more serious and strict. He obeys no one but his superiors, and takes his job very seriously.
Strengths: He is a good leader and very experienced when it comes to FateRending. He is a quick-thinker and easily solves most problems without trouble.
Weaknesses: He is a weak physical fighter and a horrible shot. He has an odd quirk where his Rendings are majorly weakened when he himself is exposed to sunlight. It is assumed to be a soul-quirk, which is common among some TCA members. He can also be hot headed at times, bursting into random fits of rage for seemingly no reason, but he isn't a violent person (to his friends).
Short Bio: Xair lived in quite an affluent family. His father was a Plastic Surgeon, his mother a Lawyer. Xair grew up in a wealthy neighborhood, went to a costly private school, and graduated high-school as salutadictorian, only surpassed by Anya Zarnuk, a student recently transferred from Russia. Xair himself took the path of his father, but had no intentions of becoming a plastic surgeon, he aspired to become a simple clinic doctor. Oddly enough, so did Anya. For a while, they competed within college, but a unexpected meeting and a few drinks changed that into a more intimate competition.
After three years, Xair and Anya were married, and a few years after, they graduated, now both MDs. Anya eventually went to become a professor at the same college, and Xair a Doctor at the Local Hospital. Within ten years, a child was born, a girl named Winter. One year, Xair planned to head out North to visit his parents in Maine, and a shortage of funds made them decide to take a train. Sudden plans canceled Anya's train ride, so Xair took Winter. Nearly halfway there, unexpected track damage caused the train to tip to it's side. Luckily for Winter, her father's body shielded her from the shards of glass which embedded in Xair's throat, and there he met his end.

Cause of Death/Bio: Corren used to live her life as a university student, majoring in Art. She grew up in a rather affluent family, her mother was an Accountant and her Father, a Taekwondo Master with many of his own Dojos. Her family name is attributed to her Great Grandfather, Tosen Tsukiko. With him being the last member of her family being of full Japanese heritage. (Both parents being Japanese) Her Great-Grandmother was an American woman of Native American descent and their Son, Corren's Grandfather, chose a pure American for his wife. Corren's father, Jason Tsukiko, shows a hint of his oriental background but upon choosing a young American woman to mother his children, Corren has lost all Asian features that her name suggests she should have. She was living away from home, at University, when she was taken from the world of the living. Her parents not having seen her for months prior. She had held a rather good relationship with both of them, taking a good interest in her studies as a child, at her mother's gentle insistence, and expressing herself freely by learning the Traditional Form of Taekwondo from her Father. But even her intelligence and martial training could not prevent her untimely death at the hands of a gang of delinquents.
One night, when she was walking home from the grocery store, she was set upon by a group of young men, none of them above the age of 20. They attacked her by surprise, taking her into an abandoned building and preparing to have their sordid way with her. She fought against them, defending herself with the very moves that her father had ingrained into her. But numbers proved to be too much for her. The young men raped her, one by one, in a seemingly unending night of cursing, yelling and acts of brash, male testosterone. When they were done, one of the men, the leader, decided he would punish her further. Her previous act of defending herself resulting in a large gash over his right eye where she struck him with a swift turning kick. His bloodied face contorted into a sick grin as he took a blade to her throat, bleeding the very life from her.
Death chose her because of the flame of vengeance that burned ever-brightly within her soul. So much so that even Death himself could feel the scolding warmth of it. She would be useful. Directed and channeled, her rage could be used against the scum of the living world. She would become a nightmare to the likes of the men that had ended her life. She would have her vengeance.
Personality: Corren is usually quite sincere and polite. She is also quite thoughtful and calculated, sometimes coldly so, though she is often plagued with bouts of bitterness, especially towards men. She tries to subdue these feelings but until her need for revenge is sated, she will continue to despise most, if not all, men.
Strengths: Her unrelenting hatred toward scum and acts of a malicious nature. With this she drives herself past any and all obstacles. She is inhumanly fast, her nimble frame and martially trained body allow her to reach speeds unattainable by most others.
Weaknesses: She undergoes stages of despair, cursing her untimely death and not being able to see her parents again. This often renders Corren useless, unwilling to move for hours at a time. Her drive for revenge can force her to make hasty decisions, though these decisions don't usually have a devastating effect, there have been a few times where a rushed action during a mission has cause harm to herself or one of her colleagues.

Cause of Death: As a nerdy girl and somewhat of an outcast, partying wasn’t really somewhat she was used to. What a surprise she had when she found out that on the first night she ever tasted alcohol she got so drunk she passed out, puked in her sleep and drowned in it. Thus ended the life of Erika Sutherland.
Personality: Erika once tried to have fun, she died, thus she doesn’t try to have any anymore. She’s always serious and professional, rolling her eyes when other people make jokes or otherwise try to have some fun. At the moment, she just wants to climb the social ladder as soon as possible, “Once I’m on top, we’ll see what’s next.” Is her motto at the moment.
Strengths:
-Chemistry: As somewhat of a science miracle, she generally deals with her works using either poison or by getting commonly found chemicals to make cheap explosives to dispose of her targets.
-Friends on the internet: Most of what she got as a social life was in the internet and as such, she often found herself in certain forums and her nickname ‘DeadCat’ is still very much alive and holds some influence. She thus uses this to get people to hack the electronics of her targets or in general get information which can be useful to plan how to get her kill.
Weaknesses:
-Hates everyone: As an outcast, she’s used to people laughing of her and she coped by ignoring them and holding a silent grudge. Even in death she’s bitter with every person she encounter and thus hates to do things in team.
-Weak: Physically she is simply inferior in many if not every way, she’s not strong, not fast and doesn’t have much in term of physical endurance.
-Woman of planning, not action: While she is good at putting two and two together in front of a computer, she is complete crap at making decision in the heat of action, often just freezing, not knowing what to think.
Short Bio: A New-Yorker through and through, she was the daughter of a policeman and a secretary. She always did excel in school, never having scores bellow perfect although her social life did suffer from it. She went to the MIT and on her second year was actually guaranteed a job in England for her works on nuclear fusion which were extremely promising for a student of her age. As school ended, she became more open, she had a circle of friends now that shared her interests, even a guy that seemed interested in her romantically. These friends of her however managed to convince her to join that year’s final frat party, to have some fun and socialize they said. The rest, well, it’s now fact that this wasn’t a bad idea like she thought, it was a terrible and deadly idea.

Face and entire body is covered in burn scars, welts and lashings, cuts, and bruises. Has a noticeable gash over his right eye. She also has only one that eye is pure white (But can still see) and wears a wig.
Cause of Death: Immolation. Set off an incineration explosive too soon and was vaporized in the blast.
Personality: Lu is a strange one, that much is certain. Lu would quietly offer his hand to help, and then she'll kill you if he feels that it was necessary or would amuse her. Not to say that he's totally malicious, but she has a hard grasp of "guilt". Anger, on the other hand, is something that Lu can trigger easily, which usually result in a guiltless rampage with bombs and sharp things. That said, Lu isn't a chaotic person, and knows very well when it's the time and place for rampant slaughter, and when it's time to be a normal person (as normal as Lu can be, anyways). As for traits and personalities, Lu seems to like fire, and getting hurt. Something of a masochist, and to evoke pain, Lu can come off as a horny pervert. At best, he's funny comic relief. At his worst, he's a violent rapist. Lu also seems to like getting into fights (to get off on the pain) and stealing. generally, Lu doesn't dislike anything, but she seems to have a certain disdain towards anyone who bothers her friends, which makes her angry. And Lu tends to be very destructive when he's angry.
Strengths:
Photographic Reflexes: Lu can emulate the movements of other people by watching them long enough. Though there are still physical limitations, and certain moves needs to be practiced before he can fully understand what she's doing.
Crafty Savant: Lu can jury-rig and make various tools and weapons from junk around him despite having no idea how he does it. Some fail, but most will fulfill whatever role he makes it for.
Expert Throwing Arm: Knives, rocks, chairs, a rolled up wet towel, anything in Lu's hands can and will be thrown with such an accuracy and force that she was given the nickname "Pistol Fingers" (Because Lu could throw anything in his hands like a bullet, post-death).
Implacable: Due to conditioning and numbing, Lu can barely feel pain. Her natural flesh is so thick, it can actually absorb 9mm rounds, and even if something goes through the flesh, he wouldn't register it. This allows him to run through things that will kill normal people without even knowing, but even he has his limits.
Weaknesses:
Poor Perception: Due to various physical ailments, Lu's over all perception is rather poor. His hearing is just fine, but her sight, sense of touch, sense of taste, and sense of taste are duller then most.
Lack of Self Preservation: Lu really wants to die, but only in a blaze of glory or real quickly. Thus, he throws herself into situations that might get her killed without too much care for himself or others. While this doesn't mean that Lou goes into every dangerous situation unprepared for it, if he feels he's ready, he'll go in without a second thought. Or a first one.
Fear of Flowers: For some reason, flowers freaks him out. You could say it's the only thing that can calm his psychotic episodes, if turning him into a blubbering wreck is "calm". If he see;s or is near flowers, at best, he become very shaky and nervous, but otherwise he becomes paralyzed in fear.
Breathing Problems: Without his gasmask, Lu has a hard time breathing, and no other mask but his own seems to be able to alleviate this issue. While he can certainly live without it, don't expect her to do anything big without her mask on her face. Lu even sleeps with it on.
Short Bio: Lu wasn't always a bad kid. She was never meant to be. Sure, when he was born, his parents weren't too sure what to do with his... Condition. Being both male and female was something no one can really prepare for. But Lu's parents accepted him, and everyone else tried to. But one day, during a storm, Lu's life changed. By this time, Lu was only about eleven, and he started to hang out with some rather troublesome kids. All of them were boys, but they were a real bad group. But they accepted Lu, and he felt comfortable with them. But during the day of the storm, Lu's house was caught on fire. She couldn't believe it; it's pouring rain and her house is being set a blazed. Worse, he was inside of it. Neither he nor her parents escaped the burning house... But Lu did live through it. Long enough for him to slowly degrade in mentality, anyways. After the death of her parents, the gang of boys took him in, and thus they began their road of sin and evil.
By the time they were teenagers, Lu and the boys were a menace to society. They got into fights, robbed stores, even brought hookers and drugs. Lu herself wasn't too interested in poisoning himself, but he did have a lot of bdsm sex. And she has the scars to prove it. For the next couples of years, it was nothing but this; seeking physical pleasure at the cost of others. Sometimes Lu would loose some friends, sometimes he makes knew ones, but it was all just part of life to him. And though he may sometimes put on a smiling face, his life was empty the day his house burned down; now he was just living on the edge, waiting for death to take him.
Of the things he remembered doing, there are about three that stood out. One was when he and his cohorts raped a girl. Lu was about 18 when he and his friends found a pretty university girl walking home. At the time, Lu was the senior of the gang, and he was the one that led them. So on his orders, he had them kidnap the girl, to have some fun before they went about their business. She put up quite a fight, but eventually they all managed to overpower her through sheer numbers. Each one took a turn, with Lu being the first and the last. He went twice because, during the fight they had with the girl she kicked him in the head, resulting in a nasty gash. Deciding that he wasn't done punishing her, he slit her throat and left the corpse. Another event Lu remembers doing was when she was robbing a store. Now, Lu robbed lots of stores, but this one was different; she was under the leadership of a new guy, and Lu was given a gun. Lu never had a gun before, but she was trigger-happy. He was holding up a convenience store when she heard police sirens in the distance, and knew that the clerk at the time triggered the silent alarm. Panicking and pissed, she shot the clerk, killing him on the spot as Lu fled the scene of the crime.
The last most memorable thing Lu remembered doing involved making some explosive materials and robbing trains. Or something along those lines; all Lu did remember was that the plan involved getting a train carrying a butt-load of money to crash into a train carrying some hundred of people, and do so, she needed to plant an explosive that would break the tracks or something. The details of the plan didn't concern him so much as the fact that he was allowed to make something that would blow up. So, after spending a few nights trying to make a bomb, Lu went to the point where he would plant it. And the trains came, he set off the bombs too early; it did cause the trains to crash, killing hundreds and giving his gang a chance to steal an ungodly amount of money, but Lu died in the process, burnt to ash. To this day, Lu never understood why death never just kept her dead. Maybe Lu had too much potential he never had in life to spend. Maybe this was his punishment for committing all those atrocities. Either way, Lu had no choice but to do what Death told him. She didn't really care either way; just another cycle of life to Lu.

Appearance: Richard stands at 6"4' weighs at 197, is muscular, and insists, for some reason, upon wearing this mask He has solid black eyes with flecks of ice blue in them, and a solid black hair, usually kept short.
Cause of Death: Richard liked to mess with people. One day he messed with the wrong person. The guy was a good 6"6' 235lbs, and was much stronger than Richard. He was also good with a blade. Richard screwed with him, and the guy decided to shut Richard up. Leading Richard to believe that he wasn't offended, he lead him off in an alley way before trying to kill him. Richards reflexes and speed saved him for a few minutes, even allowed him to get a few slashes in with his own blade. Then the man got a fist into him. Richard was knocked over. The man did a follow up slash, keeping Richard down, before going in for the stab down kill. Richard held him off for a few moments before his own strength gave out and the knife hit his heart.
Personality: Richard is a rather cheery, if demented, fellow. He enjoys messing with people, causing some friction with them. Okay. Not just some. Generally a ton. He's always unendingly happy, no matter what the situation is. Though he does tend to be a little on the calculating side, he takes great pleasure in his new job. He tends to terrify people if he can before collecting them. He also smiles constantly, though it's usually hidden by his mask. It's also damn near impossible to make him see the pessimistic side of things.
Strengths: Reflexes: Richard has trained his reflexes to their peak. Throw a ball at him unexpectedly, he'll catch it. Throw a knife, he'll probably catch that to.
Speed: He's also fast. Very fast.
Blade skills: Whether it be sword, knife or machete, Richard can use it expertly.
Intelligence: One has to be smart to know just how to screw with people.
Weaknesses: Demented: Richard is twisted. And insane. Leading him to do things that might..distance..himself from other people. Or just do stupid stuff.
Gullible: Richard is insane..and trusting. Well. At least he takes things at face value. If someone fakes being injured enough, for example, he'll believe them.
Easily irritable: Richard doesn't take being teased easily.
Short Bio: Richard was a street soldier for a gang. One problem though. He loved to mess with people, playing on their fears and dislikes. Even in his own gang. The only thing that saved him largely from being murdered, was his skill with a blade and his skill in hand to hand combat. While he wasn't good enough at it for it to be really considered a strength. He was just better at it than your average person. That, and he was fast enough to make it look like he was really good at it. Eventually some of his gang members got their hands on some guns and planned to kill him. Hearing of this plot, Richard decided to disappear and lay low for a while. But, he didn't stop screwing with people. One day, he messed with the wrong guy. He had a knife as well, and led Richard to believe he wasn't planning on killing him, leading him to an alley way to 'share a drink' one thing led to another, and Richard ended up dead.

Jeremy lived in a family that was always at its topic physical condition. It wasn't the usual family. His Dad was a free runner, and when Jeremy was born...well, he got him into it. At an early age he began to workout, with his Dad's help and guidance, and a couple years later at the age of 10. He was able to do frontflips off things such as a bench. Doing the more basic and little things. He had entered track and field in highschool to help him gain better skills. He had entered things such as long-jump, 100 meter sprint, highjump and 400m hurdles. The basic things he would need in order to help his free-running. Though Jeremy also did got straight A's in school, even though he absolutely despised schoolwork. He always went with an old slogan of his dad being "Try harder, be better". So that's what he would do. It was Jeremy's determination to get a job done, no matter how annoying it may be to do, how challenging it is, or dangerous. It was that determination that appealed to Death. Jeremy didn't have many friends in high-school either, he actually was very quiet during school, often focusing in work. Or out of school just working out with his dad. He didn't really care for socializing to much, and worked more towards his career. Eventually, at the age of 18, was able to leap from building to building. He eventually found a guy who was quite demanding of his free-running abilities, wanting him to jump from one building to another from quite a distance. He honestly didn't know whether he would make it or not. But being one of pushing himself to the limit, he decided to do what the man had asked. Which was to jump from a top of a building to another one just a little bit lower, and 50 feet away. Surrounding that building was Rod Iron Fences. A particularly sharp fence. Which he so happened to land on stomach first after not getting enough height on his jump, and just like his name. He Rues over his death. To bitterly regret, and to wish it be undone.
Personality:
Jeremy is a very outgoing determined person. One of always trying his hardest at everything he does. He does have very few interests though, he may hate/dislike a task that he is given, but he will like the idea of it just improving his skills and abilities, and not the actual excitement of the job itself. Though Jeremy is one of humor, and will once and a while do something to entertain him, like make things just a little more challenging or interesting for him if he thinks he can pull it off. Though he is quite serious at his task.
Strengths:
Jeremy is somebody who can think in the heat of the moment, when free-running, it requires a great deal of concentration when to do what, and how to do it. His stealth, strength and speed typically helps him get around places quite quickly in a certain amount of time.
Weaknesses:
If Jeremy loses his momentum while free-running, he will be very vulnerable to whatever his situation is. Such as if he was about to jump from one building to another, and something shook the ground and made him lose partial balance, he may not make the jump he intended because of the momentum he lost. Plus, the amount of time he would have to get in order to get back his momentum can be another weakness as well. Also, Jeremy is not one for eye of detail. He will not spot the little things such for example the 'string across the floor trap.' Another weakness is his ability to plan, he is more of a 'right here right now plan' than a 'in 4 weeks, I should do this, then this, which will lead to this. ' etc.

Cause of Death: Josh saved the life of his girlfriend at the cost of his own. It was night and Josh, together with his girlfriend, Maria, were outside of town, enjoying a relaxing moment in two, in front of a fire and away from the agitation of the city. Little did they knew that the location in which they were right at that moment, was also chosen by a group of corrupt cops who were heading there to discuss business with a local drug dealer. Josh eventually saw that the fire needs more wood he told Maria to stay while he went to get some more wood. In the meantime the 5 corrupt cops arrived at the respective location, only to find a car, a woman and a burning fire. After discussing with each other they realised that it is better for them if they get rid of the woman before the drug dealer arrives. Last thing they needed was unwanted whitnesses. They grabbed Maria and started beating her sensless. It was more a prelude before the actual execution. A couple of minutes later Josh returned to the camp site only to find his girlfriend all bloody, aching and screaming. Josh dashed at the cops, and threw the wood in their faces. Then he took his girlfriend from the ground, threw her in the driver's seat of his car, gave her the keys and yelled at her to leave imidieatly. The cops tried to stop her but Josh, armed with a large piece of wood, stopped anyone from getting close to the car. But Maria didn't want to leave without Josh, so Josh slammed the door and ordered her to leave, saying everything will be alright and giving her one last kiss. As he watched her leave, Josh turned around to the cops, took a deep breath, dropped the wood on the ground and took a fighting stance. However the cops who weren't bent on fighting that night, finally remembered that they have guns. They all drew their respective firearms, pointing them at Josh. Finding himself with 5 guns pointed at him, Josh realised that this is it for him. He grinned, wiped his forehead and charged at the cops, screaming. What followed was 5 gunshots and Josh fell motionless on the ground with no sign of life.
Personality: Josh used to be a friendly, kind-hearted, open-minded and respectful person. He was also a loyal like a dog and never abandoned those that he cared about. Death has made Josh, unrecognizable, personality-wise. He is now a hot-headed, serious, impulsive and hateful person. One of the few things that makes him feel good is his thirst for vengeance and the thought that one day he will confront the 5 cops responsible for his death and when that will happen he will make sure they will die a very painful and gruesome death. He still thinks of his girlfriend and loves her like crazy. He often watched over her from the shadows. He is the main reason she is still alive anyway.
Strengths:
Resilence - Not only physical but mental as well. Ever since his death and subsequent ressurection Josh's for desire for vengeance has fuelled him to go on no matter the circumstances or what he has to face.
Mixed Martial Arts and Wrestling - Josh trained in these two disciplines when he was a teenager and all the way to adulthood and he masters them very well.
Good with guns - Another thing that Josh learned during adolescence is how to handle and use guns and other types of firearms. This is due to the fact that his father was a firearm enthusiast and he instinctively passed this on to his son, Josh, as well.
Weaknesses:
Short fuse - Josh is not the kind of man that turns the other cheek. Since his ressurection, Josh has become a very hot-headed man that loses his cool very easy and when that happends he gets very violent. However this depends on the people he is dealing with and how are they acting towards him.
Fear of spiders - Josh has been afraid of spiders since a tender age. They just make him sick and he got scared by them many times.
Not very smart - Intelligence is definetly not among Josh's strong points. Due to his hot-headed and impulsive nature he tends to only follow his instinct rather then his mind. He is a man of action not a thinker.
Short Bio: Born in Miami, Josh's father was a wrestling trainer and a gun enthusiast and his mother was a dance teacher. Unlike his childhood, which was pretty plain and with nothing out of the ordinary worth mentioned, his teenage years were extremely busy. Josh trained in both mixed martial arts and wrestling. Also, his father passed on to him the passion for firearms and taught him how to use them. Josh decided to make a career out of wrestling. After years of training, Josh started to wrestle in various independent circuits from the age of 19 all the way to the age of 25. However after a routine medical check the doctor told him that he cannot wrestle anymore because he has a heart condition. This news came like a hammer blow for Josh especially since he was inches close to signing a deal with WWE and finally achieve his dream of moving to the big league. He reluctantly retired and returned back to his hometown of Miami, attempting to start over. There he met a puerto-rican woman named Maria, 4 years younger then him, who he eventually started a relationship with. He started working as a mechanic at his uncle's car shop. He planned on doing a heart surgery in order to remove his sick heart and replace it with a good one. After 2 years of waiting he finally did that surgery. After that Josh started feeling great again and he was finally happy. For the first time in 3 years. His father made him the proposition to work alonside him as a wrestling trainer, but Josh followed his own path, opening up a gym for himself and becoming a mixed martial arts trainer instead.

Personality: Withdrawn, cautious of those around her. A little spacey when it comes to her art. In full swing of a battle, believes she's a little more of a superhero then an agent of death.
Strengths: Faterending, artist. Has the ability to create pictures, creatures, weapons from her art. Either from a "quick" sketchbook, or by creating by the use of inks or paints. Each creation lasts a short period of time, once the medium used dries up. The creation goes back to being dormant.
Meet the reaper. At the cost of all ink, she can summon her rendition of death. He will mimic her movements, shredding anything that gets in his path. This is her way of fighting hand to hand.
Actual strengths (As per CS)
Creative, her imagination is limitless. Can draw and think of almost anything, from mythological beasts to ancient warriors. Given a paper and pencil, she can create worlds.
Animal Friendly, When she was alive, she had a bond with animals she wished for with people. However, this transferred over to the spirit world. Allowing her a better way to communicate with the beasts, creatures and monsters.
Weaknesses: Fragile, being an artist, her physical body cannot take much damage. Her weapons, armour and everything consists of her art. She will fight at a distance to ensure she's protected
Caffinated, each time she uses her art abilities, it exhausts her. If she's too tired, her ability to create begins to suffer.
Artists block, depending on her mood, if she cannot think of something to create, her powers suffer.
Short Bio: Lilly was always a troubled girl. Rarely seen without her sketchbook, she created an entire world inside her mind to help shield her from the real world. The end result of an abusive family, and support system that did not really exist landed her in a pychiatric facility to try and help her come back to the real world.
The problem was, inside her mind, she was a hero. A goddess, the one who brought light to those who needed saving. When this world was ripped away from her, Lilly began to break down. She created many masterpieces to try and recover that world. However, to no avail, that world inside her mind was locked to her.
Losing hope, she decided if she couldn't retreat inside her mind. She'd find a better way to go back. As she downed the bottle of pills, she saw a man who offered her the chance to get that world back...
And in death, that world is now her weapon.

You are dead.
The words echo in your head as you breathe your last breath. But you can't die.
This statement is greeted with confusion from yourself, something you hadn't realized you could still do. Your soul is stronger than most.
By this time, your vision is returning. It is dark, but you can make out the faint outline of clouds. Welcome to Death. And you are now a denizen of it. But unlike most civilians in death, you are different. You will be allowed to return to life. But with one condition.
A dark shape looms over you, casting a shadow darker than midnight over your body, which you now realize is cold. You can feel. You must serve Me.
You are suddenly jolted upwards, to a standing position, to face a grinning skull. It is yellow-cream colored, riddled with age. Two bright embers burn where the eyes once were. You suddenly realize; you stare Death in the face. You are now a Tax Collector of Death, and you are no longer mortal.
You can see fully, feel, and finally, hear. Moans and screams fill the air, almost constantly... Now go. You are needed at the Agency...
The black-shrouded form of death fades away, as does the surrounding hill, which you realize you were standing on.
Your surroundings are replaced with an office of sorts, some kind of reception counter taking up most of the room. A pale, elderly man sits behind the desk, writing on a piece of paper.
"Welcome to the Tax Collection Agency! Please step forward and enter your application." The man says this without looking up. It looks like you have no choice, and you realize there is already an application in your hand, filled out and everything...

This will be a supernatural RP, obviously. Each of you will be Tax Collectors.. Of Death. His personal reapers for people who don't want to die.
The plot will revolve around this Ethereal Agency, the TCA.
There are several plot lines which will be run.
~Plot 1: A Murder of Crows~
Now, even Agents are not safe from True Death. About a month ago, TCA members began vanishing. At first, it was low-ranked members. They were assumed dead on the job. Then, came higher ranking members. Also found dead on the job. And recently, members have been found dead in their offices; killed the only way that TCA members can be killed... Murder. Who in the Agency is killing their associates?
~Plot 2: Till Death do Us Part~
The dead aren't staying dead. Due to a fluctuation of deaths in the world, Death himself cannot keep up with them all. Souls are being left to wander the mortal world, which is unacceptable, and the Agency is getting commissioned to clean up the spirits. But, try as they might, the dead are returning. Who, or what, is bringing back the dead?
~Plot 3: (Work in Progress)~
EXP is existent in this Roleplay. But probably not how you'd expect.
EXP is given out, not only for taking out targets in a specified manner, or even taking them out at all, it's based on /how/ you take them out.
Rank 0: This Agent is no more than a resilient human. He/she can easily be killed for good, and can suffer injuries, though only being killed by something with a human soul will permantly kill any Agent.
Rank 1: This is achieved after a successful mission or two. With level one comes the first supernaturality of many to come. You gain enhanced strength, and can outmatch almost any opponent, unless they are in peak condition.
Rank 2: This Agent is no more the near-mortal he/she was. He/she knows his/her stuff, and takes less major damage from any means, and heals nearly ten times as fast as a normal human.
(1 Day Agent wound= 10 Days mortal wound)
Rank 3: By now, the Agent is little more than a small fish in a sea of gigantic fish. But that small fish is still a force to be reckoned with. Agents at this rank are now able to toy with mortal minds, though only minorly.
(Ex. sway thoughts, actions..)
Rank 4: The Agent is growing in power. Slowly, but surely. He/she can now branch off into three paths, all of which lead to different specific destinies.
Assassin/Mindbender/Brawler
Each of these catagories have different perks within them, and are tailored to your playstyle.
After you achieve a certain amount of EXP, you Rank up. Each level up comes with a Perk. Those Perks are what can make or break you. And depending on how you like to kill, you choose a class, which has special perks in the trees.
These are the more subtle Agents. They prefer taking out targets with discretion and swiftness, and remaining hidden is always in their favor.
These are those who embrace their supernatural side moreso than others. They specialize in bending reality to their will, doing things that only one of their caliber could. Often, they don't even need to get near their target to eliminate him/her. They can sway or control even the most fortified of minds, though they usually lack stealth and strength because of their choice.
These are the more head-on Agents. Those who prefer breaking in the front door, cracking some skulls, and blowing out brains without mercy. They tend to be the strongest and most resilient Agents (physically), and are unstoppable to almost every Mundane force.
You may be asking why this system in place. Well, there are several reasons.
1.) It's a new concept I wanted to try, honestly.
2.) It rewards those who are creative and imaginative with their roleplaying.
3.) Frankly, I hope it will be good to help activity. He who just lazes around, half-assing everything he's assigned to do will progress far slower than everyone else.
4.) The classes are so I can give you guys bonuses fit to how YOU want to roleplay your character. If you're a hardass run-up-and-shot-him-in-the-face kind of guy, what would the point of having a perk where you blend into shadows easily?
Now, with this said, combat won't be the focus of the RP.
There will be social interactions, alliances made, and enemies made, if you do it right.
It also requires a bit of sense from the player themselves.
Don't worry if you're not too sure about the EXP or the combat system. It will all be cleared up IC, as well as presented.
The world, of course, is Earth. There isn't much to put here yet, but it will change somewhat in the future.

Small ones, and weak ones. There will be bonuses in later ranks in all trees so everyone has something useful, but FateRenders will have the most in Illusions and such, even to the point in making them so powerful, they can damage or affect things physically.

Bio : Parker was born into a middle class family. At age ten he broke his leg jumping from the roof of the two story apartment building his parents lived in, causing his Acrophobia or fear of heights. Parker did pretty well at school. He wasn't the most popular kid but wasn't bullied either, his sarcastic humor and tendency to hold grudges did earn him some enemies. When Parker turned 17 he got a part time job at the local convenience store to help pay for his drivers ed

Cause of Death: Parker worked at a convenience store which got robbed. Although he followed procedure, the robber got nervous noticing Parked pressed the hidden alarm button and shot him.
Personality: While Parker prefers to be alone, he knows when/how to work in a team. He also has a habit of making sarcastic comments
Strengths: Parker has good memory,and is clever
Weaknesses: He has Acrophobia, tends to hold grudges and can't swim

Cause of Death: Xair died in a train accident. No more, no less. Death simply found his soul to be strongest of all within the wreck's casualties, and he was thrown into the Un-life of an Agent.
Personality: He was once very facetious and happy-go-lucky, but as he ranked higher within the Agency, he became more serious and strict. He obeys no one but his superiors, and takes his job very seriously.
Strengths: He is a good leader and very experienced when it comes to FateRending. He is a quick-thinker and easily solves most problems without trouble.
Weaknesses: He is a weak physical fighter and a horrible shot. He has an odd quirk where his Rendings are majorly weakened when he himself is exposed to sunlight. It is assumed to be a soul-quirk, which is common among some TCA members. He can also be hot headed at times, bursting into random fits of rage for seemingly no reason, but he isn't a violent person (to his friends).
Short Bio: Xair lived in quite an affluent family. His father was a Plastic Surgeon, his mother a Lawyer. Xair grew up in a wealthy neighborhood, went to a costly private school, and graduated high-school as salutadictorian, only surpassed by Anya Zarnuk, a student recently transferred from Russia. Xair himself took the path of his father, but had no intentions of becoming a plastic surgeon, he aspired to become a simple clinic doctor. Oddly enough, so did Anya. For a while, they competed within college, but a unexpected meeting and a few drinks changed that into a more intimate competition.
After three years, Xair and Anya were married, and a few years after, they graduated, now both MDs. Anya eventually went to become a professor at the same college, and Xair a Doctor at the Local Hospital. Within ten years, a child was born, a girl named Winter. One year, Xair planned to head out North to visit his parents in Maine, and a shortage of funds made them decide to take a train. Sudden plans canceled Anya's train ride, so Xair took Winter. Nearly halfway there, unexpected track damage caused the train to tip to it's side. Luckily for Winter, her father's body shielded her from the shards of glass which embedded in Xair's throat, and there he met his end.

Bio : At age 10 Parker got stuck in the roof garden from the two story apartment-building he lived at due to the door closing. Despite the fact his parents knew where he was an he would only be there for a couple of hours Parker eventually decided to jump down. Luckily he only broke a leg, but since then he was afraid of heights.
I hate to be like this, but why was he on the roof garden of a two story apartment building, how did the door closing, and why does that story even matter to your character?
When I ask for a Bio, I'm asking for a summed up version of your character's life, not something random that happened.

She retains the scar of a knife upon her neck, though she hides it with a collar of black ribbon.
Cause of Death/Bio: Corren used to live her life as a university student, majoring in Art. She grew up in a rather affluent family, her mother was an Accountant and her Father, a Taekwondo Master with many of his own Dojos. Her family name is attributed to her Great Grandfather, Tosen Tsukiko. With him being the last member of her family being of full Japanese heritage. (Both parents being Japanese) Her Great-Grandmother was an American woman of Native American descent and their Son, Corren's Grandfather, chose a pure American for his wife. Corren's father, Jason Tsukiko, shows a hint of his oriental background but upon choosing a young American woman to mother his children, Corren has lost all Asian features that her name suggests she should have. She was living away from home, at University, when she was taken from the world of the living. Her parents not having seen her for months prior. She had held a rather good relationship with both of them, taking a good interest in her studies as a child, at her mother's gentle insistence, and expressing herself freely by learning the Traditional Form of Taekwondo from her Father. But even her intelligence and martial training could not prevent her untimely death at the hands of a gang of delinquents.
One night, when she was walking home from the grocery store, she was set upon by a group of young men, none of them above the age of 20. They attacked her by surprise, taking her into an abandoned building and preparing to have their sordid way with her. She fought against them, defending herself with the very moves that her father had ingrained into her. But numbers proved to be too much for her. The young men raped her, one by one, in a seemingly unending night of cursing, yelling and acts of brash, male testosterone. When they were done, one of the men, the leader, decided he would punish her further. Her previous act of defending herself resulting in a large gash over his right eye where she struck him with a swift turning kick. His bloodied face contorted into a sick grin as he took a blade to her throat, bleeding the very life from her.
Death chose her because of the flame of vengeance that burned ever-brightly within her soul. So much so that even Death himself could feel the scolding warmth of it. She would be useful. Directed and channeled, her rage could be used against the scum of the living world. She would become a nightmare to the likes of the men that had ended her life. She would have her vengeance.
Personality: Corren is usually quite sincere and polite. She is also quite thoughtful and calculated, sometimes coldly so, though she is often plagued with bouts of bitterness, especially towards men. She tries to subdue these feelings but until her need for revenge is sated, she will continue to despise most, if not all, men.
Strengths: Her unrelenting hatred toward scum and acts of a malicious nature. With this she drives herself past any and all obstacles. She is inhumanly fast, her nimble frame and martially trained body allow her to reach speeds unattainable by most others.
Weaknesses: She undergoes stages of despair, cursing her untimely death and not being able to see her parents again. This often renders Corren useless, unwilling to move for hours at a time. Her drive for revenge can force her to make hasty decisions, though these decisions don't usually have a devastating effect, there have been a few times where a rushed action during a mission has cause harm to herself or one of her colleagues.
